Failed at 1.5 days

Failed infotainment system. Screen went blank after 1.5 days. Over three weeks to replace the system and the new system is for the wrong car. It doesn't have any EV functionality, stuck at 80% max charge, no EV details, etc. Back at the dealership for a new system. Asked for a new car since it worked for 1.5 days in the first month and have not gotten anywhere. Very frustrating to spend $70,000 on a new car and not have Hyundai stand behind their product.

Initial build quality has been terrible

The initial quality of the vehicle has been the worse of the past 3 Hyundai vehicles I have owned and of 10 my family has purchased. With a defect drivers windshield wiper arm that makes the vehicle inoperable in the rain, the dealership can’t give me an ETA on when the part will be available. The paint has debris on the ceiling and around the rear taillights with rusting spots on the tailgate in a car that’s 2 months old and only 2500 miles on it. The dealer refuses to do anything to correct the issues and customer support has yet to respond to my complaints.

Decent Vehicle, Crappy Company

Advertised as Bidirectional Charging capable. This is FALSE. I've tried for months to find out when this promised capacity will be available and have been unable to get answers. I've been ignored from dealership up through corporate level which is distressing as I previously believed Hyundai was a stand-up company. Well, not any more.

This car model should be discontinued.

I scraped this car on a curb. Very minor damage to the battery warranted incredibly expensive battery replacement. The car was totaled. The design is highly questionable.

Ionic 9 two wheel drive

2 wheel drive has no power, performance suxs different tow weight make sure it’s the car you want. It is completely different than a 4 wheel ionic 9 different specs and performance in all aspect

Hyundai cannot be trusted

We purchased our new Ioniq 9 in May with the promise of the $7,500 EV Tax Credit. Unfortunately, Hyundai's dealership was not competent enough to file the required paperwork for the Tax Credit thus making our vehicle ineligible for the EV Credit and directly causing us a $7,500 loss. Hyundai USA Consumer Affairs told us for five months that they would resolve this situation but have failed to do so. They have now told us to sue their dealership if we want to recover our Tax Credit. As first time Hyundai car buyers, my wife and I (and anyone we know, work with, or ever talk to) will NEVER buy a Hyundai again.

the range is suposed to be 320, its 160

Don't like the car at all, the tech is not inuitive and it does not even have settings for 2 drivers. The tech on my 2016 tesla is far superior.

Horrible car

Not even 1 month after haven the car it stop charging. Tried 5 didn’t charging stations finally got it to the dealer they didn’t even have any one who knows how to work on the car. They had to bring someone else to the dealership to check it out. They said it has a back charging computer on it. 5k to fix

Great Car Except I Can't Level 1 or Level 2 Charge at Home

After exhaustive troubleshooting, it appears that the Ioniq 9 has issues with Level 1 or Level 2 home charging. Public chargers appear to work OK All of the other variables have been eliminated, the car itself is the issue. I've checked this by trying to charge other EVs and they all work except for the Ioniq 9 Example (not me): https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq9/comments/1mzdfyl/outdoor_outlet_charging_l1_trips_gfci_outlet_for/ I was recently the victim of another vehicle through a different car manufacturer with a similar Issue. I was able to get a full buyback after going through Lemon Law. So I'm well-equipped to advocate for myself if this vehicle does not function as it's advertised. Repeated issues with less than 400 miles

I purchased this vehicle brand new and drove it for less than a week before having to take it to the dealership due to an electrical issue. I was told by my service person that the controlled motor unit was bad and needed to be replaced. A week and a half later I picked up my vehicle around 5:47 at night when I got home I noticed A weird smell coming from the trunk area of the vehicle also the front trunk. Opening mechanism was having problems so I decided to take it to the dealership in the morning upon driving. I was prompted with a loud warning in the dash stating to stop the vehicle and check power supply. since I was already going to the dealership I was just going to drive it there until I realize that my speed was reduced to. 24 miles an hour so I immediately turned back home and had it towed. It made it to the shop at 9Am in the morning afterwards I was told by my service person that the ICCCU was bad it needed to be replaced and that part was on back order another week and a half has passed. The vehicle was supposed to be ready then I call to verify a time to pick up and more bad news the ICCU that was installed went bad on top of that a wire was burnt out. And I also needed a new 12 V battery. Everything is on backorder. I highly recommend researching the brand in the common problem with the ICCU that they have.

Amazing, but too many quality issues and horrible support from Hyundai

Amazing car. Love the range, comfort, NACS access, autonomous driving features, mix of options at this Trim (SEL). Unfortunately the car has had 4 different quality issues so far (control panel on seat popped out, paint peeling off front bumper, felt peeling off seatbelt buckle, trim lifting off rear passenger window). Hyundai and my local dealer denied addressing these issues, saying that the dealership I purchased at was responsible for addressing. This dealership is 50+ miles away from me... Why doesn't Hyundai own it's own quality?? It was a perpetual argument with the dealership to get the issues addressed as well with some sort of compensation for the mileage (I'm on a lease...every mile counts).

Already in shop

And my vehicle 66 days went it threw a coat of P1 8300. It is broken down sitting at Stevenson Frederick where it’s been since August 19 and now I’m being told it’ll B3 to 4 months before I can see my vehicle back. Plus, Hyundai thinks I need to be paying for a vehicle that there’s no longer in my possession and I can’t even drive

Warped paint, bad customer service

very underwhelming, car was great until I had to deal with the company and their reps. I was quickly made to be an afterthought. What’s a cool car that is warped paint in less than 2 weeks of owning it and to date has yet to be rectified.

Great car , but expensive

The car drives very well and has good performance, but the cost is too high. My lease is $1,625 per month on a 3-year contract, and if I want to buy it after, it will cost about $40,000 more. On top of that, tags and fees are expensive. The vehicle itself is good, but the price makes it difficult to recommend.
