Excellent Vehicle For The Money

Great purchase. Just about everything about this Ioniq is great. Ease of use, styling, size, and function. The seats are a bit stiff but with time I bet they will form a little to the passengers. I put over 100 miles a day in this and feel refreshed when I get to my destination, how often can you say that about a vehicle. It is safe, secure, family friendly in regards to space and comfort, and above all it helps in pocket book. Even with the best grade fuel, and travelling over 800 miles a week my fuel bill is less than 5 cups of Starb**ks coffee. Can't beat that.

great mileage and comfortable ride

The car handles well it is a breeze to park in tight spots. Adequate pickup. Inside is roomier than I imagined. Backseat could use some more headroom.

Most economical vehicle ever.

I get 60 to 64 miles per gallon on a tank of gas, depending on traffic conditions. Gets better mpg city driving than on the freeway.

Base model Ioniq Blue

This vehicle replaced my 2013 VW TDI. Hyundai had a great lease incentive and promotional rebate for me. The exterior is much more appealing compared to the Prius and it doesn't sacrifice a 3rd passenger in the rear like the Volt. Controls are simple and easy to manipulate. Good standard features for the price. The Ioniq definitely is not a high performance driving machine in that you aren't going to blow the doors off other vehicles out there, however you will be visiting the gas pumps much less at 53-55 mpg.

I love the gas mileage!

Averaging 60 mpg in the summer months. Have gone up to 64 mpg one week when most of the driving was around town and am conscious of it. Usually get 58 mpg highway when staying within the ballpark of the speed limit. When in sport mode at a stop light acceleration is crazy! Have smoked some muscle cars off the bat. They eventually catch up and pass of course due to their bigger displacements. Have been getting and average of 56 mpg these colder months which I attribute to the winter blend fuel and cold denser air that affects aerodynamics. Brakes are great but tend to grab as you come to a stop. Ride is comfortable. Suspension works well as long as you don't push it. It is not a sports car after all. Wants: Better headlights and a rear wiper. An option for a sports version would be nice. A spare tire. Overall, I'd buy one again in a heartbeat . It does the job. It gets me from point A-B safely. I am one of those eccentric millionaires that could buy any car I want but chose not to. I choose to drive an Ioniq. And no, I am not a tree hugger. Lol! I used to drive a minivan getting 20 mpg. I did the math and at today's gas prices, I save almost a thousand dollars driving the Ioniq vs the minivan over every ten thousand miles. It's a no brainer!

Needs cargo space cover, a major oversight due to safety. Lack of cover allows thieves to peruse cargo/trunk for opportunity break in. Should have periodic training session for use of entertainment components. How to optimize use the vast array.
