Good Car

Good car and I do not know if I will get the value for money as I keep my cars over a long time. I have a Prius and Insight and they are great cars, hope Hyundai will match their quality. Please make your music and navigation systems better.

Great car for the price

This is a perfect starter hybrid. I was looking for something eco friendly and a hybrid, but just couldn't afford the prices. I found the Ioniq and researched it and Hyundai had the best deal for the money. Amazing warranty, great stylish car and even better starting price.

technological progress

I own an 11 year old Prius in addition to an Ionic plug in. The improvements are really impressive. DSG transmission is usually only found on high performance cars. I like the ability to plug and and got >1000 miles on my first tank! But going 29 miles isn't very far- most people will want to plug in at home. The seats are ride are fairly firm- a positive as far as I'm concerned. Visibility is generally very good. i find the road noise less than the 11 year old Lexus I traded in.

Ionic

We absolutely loved the vehicle but we do find that it has difficulties going uphill there is a struggle it seems gas mileage is absolutely fantastic 55 to 57 miles a gallon. In the beginning we had planned on buying a equinox and changed her mind

Good car but questions MPG

Vehicle is very comfortable and I am a tall man. It runs well but I'm disappointed in the MPG. I'm hoping I can figure out how to get better MPG. Also I feel it is disappointing that I can't just run on electric.

Nice overall styling of the car, by far the best feature is the ride quality and overall MPG. Some of the standard features in the base model were lacking like no day time running lights and no spare tire.

Ioniq Hybrid

I would probably have opted for the PHEV version if I had known that it did not come equipped with the features that I wanted. Reliable but wish it came equipped for bluelink compatibility since I added the technology package.

Great Car

I really do enjoy my new car. It is comfortable and easy to drive...plus it gets great mileage! The one thing this car does not offer is a hatch release from the inside of my car. I was surprised when I looked for it and didn't find one! That of course happened after I had purchased the car.

Ionic

I think a new entry in the market - has to compete with the benchmark in the hybrid ( Prius) but basic model , well equipped , comfortable & fuel efficient - good value for the dollar thanks...

Not perfect but a nice daily

I love the fact I’m getting on average between 58-62mpg out of this car! That’s the selling point in my eyes. The car has some flaws between the suspension, braking, and handling. It’s a cool looking car especially for a hybrid and I get compliments all the time on the look and the color “blue”. Took it in a round trip road trip of about 220miles with 3 adults and my dog and it was very comfortable and had room to pack everything!

Love the ride, comfort and Gas mileage

So far I am loving this car so much more than the Prius C that I had before. I am averaging around 64 mpg and the power that it does offer for a hybrid is above average. Lifetime warranty for the batteries cannot be beat.

Ioniq blue

I really like the gas mileage but the ride is rough and it is a very noisy on the roads around where I live because of the chat that has been added to the road. At times it seems a little slow on takeoff but seems to have plenty of power otherwise.

More stylish than a Prius

This review is based on my base model Ioniq Hybrid Blue that I purchased brand new in May 2018. I drive over 250 miles per day on average. My Ioniq feels and drives like a mid sized sedan and until a recent software update, was getting 59 to 61 MPG, now getting 54 to 55 MPG. There is plenty of power to climb hills with ease. There is a lag from the time you push on the gas to when the transmission engages (allow extra couple of seconds if passing). Steering feels smooth and responsive. The low beam headlights provide plenty of down road illumination and occassionly I get flashed at for for being too bright. If you are a bigger person, the driver's seating area needs more leg room. The cup holder area on the door rubs against the outside of my leg and the center gear shift console rubs the outside of my knee. If the shift lever had been more forward and the cup holder in the door removed there would be no issue with this. The cup holders in the center console are too close together to allow for two large drinks to set in them without poppping the lid off on one. The sound system is good but does get drowned out by road noise. The back up camera that comes with my model does not have nightvision and is hard to use in pitch black. The back up lights don't provide enough light to see more than a few feet behind the car. A rear wiper would of been nice but would of added air drag and reduced mileage. I am hoping that the Ioniq stands up to the test of time and mileage.

Comfortable and efficient

The Ioniq is the best bang for your buck for this category of vehicle. The SEL trim that I own has all the bells and whistles at just under $25k. It’s practical, roomy, elegant, and very fuel efficient. The lane assistant feature can be a little surprising if you’re not expecting it to autocorrect for you. The radar cruise control is great for highway driving, but takes some getting used to. It is a simple yet sophisticated daily driver that’s deemed to please. Overall, if you’re in the market for an affordable, realiable hybrid, look into the Ioniq.

Gas savvy!

I read a lot of reviews and pre-shopped online prior to making this decision. I went with the intention to buy a Kia Niro because I was downsizing from an AWD vehicle, but I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of cargo space the hatch of the Ioniq. The ultimate sell was the gas mileage!! I am pressed with getting 48 MPG city driving!

Alot of issues

I got six thousand miles on the car and it's probably been in the shop more than I've driven it but I do like the gas mileage that I get and they do give me a loaner car that's the only reason it's getting a four star. But I do like my little hybrid car it rides really good and I get great gas mileage

My ioniq

Overall I like the vehicle for the exceptional mpg and smooth riding comfort. What I dislike is the engine being very noisy when at idle. Why this is I don't know but should have been factored in during the design process.

Great Car Overall!

I love this car! My previous "favorite car" was a Honda Insight (2010) and the Ioniq is equal to that, with some extra bells and whistles to make it more fun. My only "complaints" (for lack of a better word) are that the gas mileage fluctuates quite a bit by season (close to 60mpg in spring, mid-40s in winter) and the lack of a rear wiper. Seriously, I've owned 7 hatchbacks previously and they ALL had a back wiper. The slope of the back window makes the snow stick so a wiper would be helpful. Some of my favorite features (I have the limited with tech package): 1) tilting side mirrors when the car is put into reverse, 2) headlights that shift when road curves or car turns, 3) hatch is really spacious (there is no light in it though, also odd), and 4) overall stylish and fun car to drive.
