My Viewpoint

I love my Kona EV. I think it's the best of the EV's for the money and I did a lot of research. The design and quality of the car is excellent. The only thing I would change is the terrible, tinny, cheap speakers that came with it. My Dealer experience was mixed; my salesman (Andy Pabon) was Superb, my experience with their Finance Department was very negative, and the service and customer relations people were very nice.

Fun to drive

Very powerful fun to drive. Handling on turn not to good might slip. The auto center steering wheel work sometime . Always having problems to disconnect the Charing outlet. Due to lock issue not release easy. problems with the blue link all the time. The remote features 80% working. Wireless charging station design in the hard to reach area. The heat seat button put it in the wrong spot turn on by your elbow by accident.

Kona EV

Hyundai has done a poor service to their customers with this car. There is a serious danger of the car catching fire and killing people or causing extensive damage to property yet I only learned about the problem from the automotive press rather than from Hyundai. You need to buy-back all of these cars.

A great ride and fun drive!

We did not plan on purchasing a Kona EV. Then, we test drove this and several other EVs. The Kona, by far, had the smoothest ride, most comfort, quiet interior, and the best range for the price. Many people have asked me already if I would recommend the Kona EV - I DO!

Very very happy love it! Good speed looks good no gas just love how it looks and runs and good performance and has all the bells and whistle That you need runs so smooth easy to connect just Lov it all happy happy that I got my Kona keeping it for ever!

Zippy little car!

I am happy with my zippy little car. The hardest part was getting used to finding class 3 charging stations and adjusting my travel schedule accordingly I liked my daughter’s car so well , I bought one and my friend liked mine so well, she bought one. My daughter has the silver one, I have a white one and my friend bought a black one!

Hyundai has knocked this one out of the park! A win for us and a win for the planet.

Replaced our Nissan Leaf with the Kona EV. What a fantastic little dynamo! We really wish Nissan had stepped up and improved the battery life and driving range of the Leaf and waited ten years for them to do so, but we are thrilled that Hyundai has presented this amazing car. As an environmentally conscious driver, this became the clear choice. The only thing I would change is the black roof. All studies have shown that a black car roof contributes to global warming. White roofs reflect the heat rather than locking it in, so I am very disappointed in a white car with a black roof. I don’t care about style. I care about the planet.

Lots of Power and good range

This is a very good small SUV for around town and have plenty of space and power. I like the design of the vehicle and it doesn't look like a spaceship. The vehicle drives good but has a bit too much road noise.

Hyundai Ultimate 2020 Full Electric

I only have 300+miles on the vehicle so I can't really give a thorough review. However, I am, so far, very impressed with everything. This is my retirement car (full electric). When the weather breaks and I drive it more , I'll follow up.

Smooth and quiet unless the road is rough. Good performance.

The Kona EV is smooth quiet around town, but can get noisy above about 50mph especially on rough pavement, from tire roar. It feels peppy and handles well and is fun to drive. The mileage is great. I normally get about 275-285 miles per full charge. I got the Ultimate trim (top line) and enjoy using the adaptive cruise control on the highway-it works perfectly. I also like the HUD to see speed and speed limit without having to look down very much. The Apple Car play works great for navigation and music or podcasts. I wish the passenger seat had electronic controls like the driver's seat. It is manual, which at this top trim level I think it should be a power seat. In retrospect I think I would probably go for one of the two lower trim levels, which have almost all of the advantages of this car at a more reasonable price point.

Kona EV

I am very happy with this car. Because it is electric, it is very quiet. The engine is very peppy. The regenerative braking system is a plus, especially when driving around town. Only disappointment is with the limited storage space near the driver. High center console prevents easy access to glove compartment and to the tray under it.

Its a car; it does what it is supposed to do. But the factory's choice of tires is horrible. Doubt this will make it into any press release. You have a minimum character count of 200? That's ridiculous.

Kona

Although I’ve only owned it for a couple of weeks, I am very happy with the Kona EV. I guess I’m supposed to fill in the blanks here because my Minimum amount of characters are supposed to be 250. I wish I could have gotten more for my trade-in but that’s life.

A little disappointed

Please read the Pros and Cons. Love the fast acceleration but it's worthless if the tires don't grip the ground and I worry that I don't have all-wheel-drive. Sound system started out great but now my driver door rattles when the bass goes low. Not to mention my car is in need of towing to the dealership right now...

Live my Kona EV

It’s a peppy, fun car with all the add-ons I need. I love that it’s electric, and the 200+ mile range is more than enough for my 45-mile one-way commute. Fueling at home is simple. And it’s low-maintenance.

Car issues with Noise, Window open Noise and button function layout

The car is good for what is intended use (commuter car). The ideal drive would be short or speed below 60 mph. It is fun and save on gas. Few things that needs to improve to make it a better experience with the car.

A Fun Car to Drive

I love this car. Its fun to drive, quick and responsive, stylish and all electric. It plugs into my household electric outlet. I did not want a hybrid because that is 2 engines to maintain. This all electric car has no real maintenance. No oil change, tune ups, nada. This is my third Hyundai and I love their cars reliability and their warranties.
