This vehicle design and comfort is not satisfied seating while driving is not feel good and not satisfied I prefer different type, the material they usbyed is valuable , overall the price of this vehicle is much more than comfort

Too small

Hate this vehicle. It is way too small. Should have taken more time when leasing Ugh!!!! Do not lease or buy this vehicle. You won’t be happy tried to exchange for another vehicle but you can’t win at that game. Another huge down payment Have to live with it

Poor vehicle

700 miles ... I only had the Kona for a few weeks. It was too uncomfortable as it was difficult to initially sit down and be comfortable. I would have to be completely centered in the seat, otherwise the left or right side of the back of the seat edge would press. against either shoulder. It is as if the seat was to narrow to accommodate a Male 5’11” 190 lbs American body frame ?? The other problem was the automatic breaking feature. If there was a vehicle protruding into the lane in which I was driving, say by a couple of feet and I swerved to drive around it carefully ... the Kona would abruptly brake automatically ... which initially scared me, as I am stopping uncontrollably... without warning !!! Poor design of automatic breaking !!!

Trading it in for a goldfish

I don’t like my Kona as much as I thought I did just a yr old headlights stops working and cigarette chargers all stopped working to charge I’m my vehicle and it’s just to small after all. Trading it in for a goldfish.

Do not purchase

This is the worst vehicle I have purchased. Stick to Honda or Toyota for cars. I will not purchase a Hyundai product again. Service was terrible and the car reflects the service offered at Hyundai dealerships. I do not recommend a Hyundai especially this model of car.

Do not waste your money

This vehicle has had so many issues. Despite paying extra for a warranty, that was a waste. I have had to pay out of pocket for most of the repairs needed. I have barely owned it for 2 years and its cost me much more than what its worth.

Not reliable

The engine light started coming on when it was only 2.5 years old with less than 30,000 miles on it. 6 months later the dealership keeps telling me they do not know what is wrong with it. Customer service at corporate is deplorable.

Not the best

I should not have gotten new model. This car seems to struggle at acceleration and smoothness. It lacks comfort and the dashboard seems to have issues off and on. I feel like I'm in a low quality car that has issues.

Needs work

The Hyundai Kona does not come with an ECO button and fuel economy is poor and listed above the actual average. Backseat leg room is worse than the airplane and the trunk space is very limited. Needs improvement.

2018 Kona ultimate

Ongoing issues with the FCA... comes on for no reason. Dealership cannot “locate or duplicate” the problem... the safety of this vehicle is the main reason I purchased it.... dissatisfied . The salesman will only reply to my texts as it pleases him.... I was convinced to purchase from this dealership by the salesman... should’ve stuck yo my gut

The car is very nice and they never fix it

I hate this car if they ever fix all the noises the car has it’s nice to drive the car but he’s very uncomfortable with all the noisesI hope somebody contact me and will fix this problem and then the car will be nice and fun to dry

Poor AWD and engine performance

Definitely will not purchase again! Poor AWD handling in snow and rain. Do not feel safe when driving it in extreme conditions. Engine power is pathetic when merging into an interstate. Do not like the delay in the engine when trying to get up to speed!

Poorly made but fun to drive

I have owned my Hyundai Kona Ulitmate 1.6 T for just under 18 months and only have 17, 500 miles on this vehicle. I have already been in a rental car due to engine issues twice, a rear bumber replacement and issues with the navigation system not working which they can't seem to replicate. The seams between the leather and fabric are already beginning to show tearing and I only weigh 125 pounds and am the only driver of this vehicle. There is a strange bubble that appeared on the dashboard and I have been waiting almost 3 months for the replacement because they are on backorder nationally. The leather seats are poorly made with buckling in some areas. There is a strange rattle and the navigation system doesn't properly link the supported app Android Auto and also overheats my phone when driving for long periods. The navigation system will just stop using Android Auto suddenly while your driving and getting directions so suddenly you're lost and have to try to get your phone to link up to the system again or use voice activation to get directions through their system which always take you through weird side streets to get you where you want to go. If you're using their system for directions, you have to use bluetooth with your phone which would be fine if the sound quality didn't change once you did. It is fun to drive but I don't think that outweighs all the issues with this vehicle. I am losing faith in the Hyundai Brand.

Kona

I have done this before. I really do not care for this vehicle. It was not cheap but it is cheaply made. The windows are noisy - it has a rattle - I don't that the dash lights dim and brighten a lot - I don't like that I can hear and feel it change gears sometimes. But it id good on gas.

Should have kept my 2017 Elantra Limited

Too much road noise on any type of road - makes it hard to have a conversation with passengers or listen to the radio. Gas mileage is poor even on highway. I had to add to the sound system to get it to send better.

Disappointed

If not for the dual clutch transmission problem 1-2 gear - I would give the Kona an excellent review. However, my disappointment in the continued juttering I feel driving my car is so distubing - I wouldn't recommend this vehicle

Began falling apart at 20,000 miles

Antenna snaps off very easily, paint fades quickly, trunk leaks, interior scratches easily. I take pride in my vehicles and took good care of it. The front is pretty and the safety features work well. For the price, it’s fine as a temporary vehicle but I wouldn’t trust it without a good warranty.

Don’t buy if you have to park outdoors

Love the style and feel of the Kona. Unfortunately had several issues- battery and paint failed between years 1 and 2. Oils changes every 3000 miles highly inconvenient. Biggest issue though is wiring is made of something that attracts rabbits/rodents to eat the outside layer- we live in a nice gated community, but car has to be in driveway. Rabbits are wiring, sets off all the sensor warning lights, $350 to fix, but then they just ate the new wiring. Cant pay $350 a day to park in my own driveway so car is getting returned early. Toyota in driveway has no issues. Neighbor indicated maybe it’s a peanut based material on wiring, who knows. Failure on battery and paint led to not being interested in buying Hyundai again.

Don't do it!

Small, unreliable, uncomfortable - really have nothing good to say about the Kona. It was stalling and in limp mode within a year, repaired transmission. Within 4 year a complete transmission was again needed! Thank goodness for the warranty but really unacceptable in a brand new car. Very uncomfortable to drive unless you are less than 5 ft

Nice car, transmition problem from day 2. Had to replace transmition at 300 miles

Nice car, nice to drive nice look to it but I have a transmition problem from day 2 of driving it. The car has only 300 miles Dealership gave me only one choice and that is to replace the transmition instead of replacing the car with a new one.
