Kona

Seems like a good car. Good handling and performance. Harsh ride and interior noise. Seems like excessive tire noise related to interior noise. I believe another 30hp would be a nice addition to this vehicle.

Horrible seat comfort

Does not handle the road well on long distance driving. The seats are very uncomfortable! Feels like you are sitting on concrete.. If you are on a highway, an 18 wheeler driving by, will cause the car to not stay on a straight pattern

Slightly dissatisfied

Can hardly wait to get another vehicle. In less than a week one of my license plates fell off! The dealer will replace it. I am waiting now. Had to return several times to try to get the phone to connect so I could see my navigation on the convenient screen. After trouble shooting and a new cord it still did not work. I went to another source. It still does not work. I will again try my dealership.

My Kona is noisy

I was rather excited upon finding out there was an Iron Man edition car out there... So, I took it for a test drive, enjoyed basically everything about the car and bought it. A week later, I would have returned it if that were possible. The road noise was simply ridiculous. When you have to increase the volume on the stereo to that degree simply to cover wind and road noise, something is not right. I used to get annoyed at people driving with ear buds in and now I'm one of them just so I can drive this car until I can sell it. Feel free to call me picky, but when you pay 30k + for a vehicle, you expect to be able to talk to passengers without raising your voice so much.

It is an ok vehicle. I don't think I would reecommend it.

Too much road noise. Very small interior. Not enough room for tall people. I thought it would come with tinted back windows but it did not. The only thing I enjoy is the back up camera. Trunk space is too small.

2019 Hyundai Kona

This vehicle is a compact, fun to drive and good on gas. Good if you do not have to put much in the cargo space. The passenger seat is not comfortable if traveling. I know people use their phones & playlists but I don't. Always enjoyed my cds & satellite radio. Drove it to Canada & realized how good it was on gas. Not the most comfortable after a while. Probably will go back to a Sonata or larger Suv but will stay with Hyundai if I get a better deal than this last time.

Not Happy

Rough ride. Frustration because over 65mph front end shakes/wobbly. Dealership said drive it a while to break in . They switched tires around. Same problem. Seems like something loose or out of alignment but they said everything looks find. They said since I have been complaining and its documented. If some happens later on. I had complained.

Small and Cute

Good pick up, easy on the gas, easy to maneuver in the city and on the open road. Not much rear leg room or trunk area. The interior noise level can use some tweaking. Need more standard safety features

It okay

The price of the vehicle was pretty high for a 2 w drive vehicle and i be trading it off in the next year for a better vehicle and a 4 w drive this time around i think for a 2 w drive vehicle the price could have been a tot lower

Very Cute, but...

I Love the look of this vehicle, but to small for me, it has no power, even with the sport mode! I also need power seats, and a sun roof. This vehicle is for a young adult. Sold my Santa Fe for this, thought I would be ok with a down grade.

I like the car however very limited space in trunk and especially leg room in the back seat. Definitely a Mini SUV Not enough engine power drags going uphill Love all of the features sunroof heated seats display screen

What is driving Hyundai's trade-off decisions?

The Kona EV had good range. For the money you should find most quality features in any EV on the market. I don't understand why Hyundai made poor engineering and design trade-offs decisions in the Kona EV

It is a very nice small car. It has a very nice interior with great standard features such as a back up camera. The car comes with a lot of nice features for the price that you pay for it. It is very reliable and great on gas.

I have not been in love with the Kona but it was my choice to buy this car. It’s hard to manage on windy day’s. It’s not the high end car so it’s been hard to keep clean because of the quality of the carpet and seats. The good things are great with gas mileage And smooth ride when it’s not windy. It’s big enough for large and small passengers. Lots of space for storage when shopping small or big.

The car is great when test driving but once you bring it home you will soon notice a rubbing sound coming from steering counsel and apparently this is normal. They will change it but know noise will come back it’s a manufactured defect. That there aware off.

Not so Ultimate

Ultimate trim I would of though it would come with power lift gate and cool seats. I would stay limited trim. Would of like to see electric ebreak to save room. Interior lights should if had LED, Easy to replace after market. Should have more seat options for passenger. Gas mileage deteriorates over time.

My commuter car , great on gas don’t know how long it will last considering materials used and night visibility is poor with non led headlights. Transmission is a sealed unit so it will probably last til the warranty expires

Love this vehicle, but burning/leaking oil

Love everything about this vehicle, but the last couple of oil changes the oil is low on the dipstick. This is a recent discovery and I need to work with dealership to get address or looked at. Good gas mileage vehicle for an SUV AWD.
