So far, very happy.

Car has less than 1000 on car. So, far very satisfied. I felt I could not give car 5 stars yet. Ask me when I have 10,000 miles on it. Car rides well. Still have not figured out all the safety features and buttons.

A fun little car

I like the Kona, except for the ride of the low profile tires and the little storage behind the rear seat, other wise it is a nice little car and fun to drive, a little underpowered for the open highway. All in all great sound from the sound system. Something else thar Hyundai has to address in a lot of their cars is the front passenger not being able to adjust their seat..

Good car need better material. Emergency brake need to be in the floor.Radio music goes down when you put the car on reverse.Too much road noise inside cabin.More space needs in the back seat for legs.Driving lights not too bright.

Kona

It is a great car even just the 2 wheel drive does good in the snow. I have the SE model it is great if you dont wanna spend alot of money. It also gets good gas mileage and doesn't cost alot to fill up.

AWD and great mileage

Great tech and mileage. Could definitely use better sound insulation. Overall a pretty fun car to drive. Would love to see a performance model with a manual would be great. Sound system is a little lacking for an Infiniti system. Will probably buy at the end of the lease or purchase a 2023!

I am a Hyundai person. I feel the quality for the money is above average and the vehicle retains a good value towards trade in. I like the styling and aggressive stance of a smaller SUV like the Kona.

Good vehicle

I love my new vehicle. It’s a big upgrade from my previous car. Only thing I dislike is that it doesn’t have much leg room in the back. It doesn’t hold 3 kids car seats. The truck area isn’t that big. But overall it’s a great vehicle

KONA after 7500

My 2019 KONA SE has been a most welcome surprise. Performance is quicker than I anticipated the seating more comfortable, and the visibility excellent. However, The appearance of rattles in an inaccessible area, possibly in the dash, after such a short time (7500 mi) is disturbing. Particularly since I was told that If they had to take the dash out and if it was unwarrantable item It would cost me a dis-re-assembly costs. I thought that was uncalled for since this is a NEW car.

Love my Kona

I love my Kona. I wish there were a few changes. I loved that the passenger seat on the Tucson raised up and down. The Kona's doesn't on the passenger side. My passengers also wished that the Kona had heat in the back seats. When I'm transporting 3 others besides myself, the space is a bit tight for knees! OTHERWISE, I love it!!!! Great car. I want my next Hyundai to be an electric!!!

Small, but good.

My only gripe with the Lona version I have is that the trunk can only be opened manually despite the my key fob has a trunk button, and the rear seats do not go down all the way. While I am happy with this purchase, these would be things that I wish the dealer I worked with informed me of, or, was explicitly stated.

Excellent budget option

I was looking for a second car for a small family. The Kona SEL was the best deal out of the CUVs I looked at. The higher priced HRV is bare bones, while the CHR has no room. The Soul is cheaper but insurance is higher. The Kicks is also cheaper but has less features and has rear drum brakes. This left the Kona, which fits the bill for a city driver. Easy to park, ok on gas, room for carseats, etc. If you need to haul cargo, though, this is not a good choice. Ditto if you go driving in low light urban areas--the halogen headlights are garbage. Overall I give this a 3.5 because the technology and safety features can't be beat at this price.

Good but not great yet.

The Hyundai Kona it’s fun to drive gets pretty good fuel economy and has great tech features for it’s class. The interior needs refinement lots of plastic that that’s easily scratched The seats need improvement anything beyond an hour in the vehicle and you will be uncomfortable cabin noise could be less In the door pockets Are useless in my opinion and hold little more than one bottle of water. Sport shifter is a stupid in my opinion no one’s using that paddle shifters would’ve made more sense. Location to put your phone is tiny Several options are not available in the United States which I find ridiculous No heated steering wheel or ventilated seats. The 1.6 T Does a good job for what it is but falls on its face at certain times many of them being because of the DCT transmission causing hesitation delay. Don’t get me wrong you will blow the doors off of pretty much any comparable vehicle in this class the closest In my opinion performance wise would be a Subaru WRX 2.0 turbo with CVT Or the Mercedes GLA which is a very comparable vehicle with features and options but has a larger 2.0 turbo. The Hyundai Kona is not a performance vehicle but it’s fun to drive and has pep equipped with a 1.6t Finishes need improved seats improved maybe with the model refresh they will improve these issues and make the interior feel less cheap.

For the most part, I am satisfied with my vehicle. Sometimes I do not like the way it drives when it has been raining outside. The brakes seems to grunt and do not brake properly. Also, the engine sometimes idle or feel like it is jumping.

Good vehicle

Great overall car. Small and quick. Fuel efficient. Lacks large amount of storage space in rear. Back seat is cramped when the front seats are fully pushed back. Cloth seats are comfortable even for me, a person who has chronic back pain.

Nearly Perfect

Give it adaptive cruise control, and additional inch of clearance (Downhill Brake Assist not necessary otherwise and AWD useless when high centered), more cargo space or magic rear seats, and head and tail lamps that can be replaced w/o having to remove bumpers.

Fun, attractive SUV

I really enjoy my Kona and am glad I bought it. The only drawbacks are that it does not have very good acceleration, especially when not in sport mode, and that there is not enough leg room in the back seats.

The Kona is comfortable, easy to drive with great gas mileage. I have been a long term Hyundai user and the Kona hands down was the best car that I leased. I'm seriously considering keeping it because I really enjoy my car. Great choice!!
