Issues with Air-Flap

Still have a check engine light on my dashboard due to an air flap issue. Took to dealer 3 times already and it hasnt been fixed. Still dealing with Hyundai Customer Service and the dealership regarding this issue.

Poor gas milage

This is my 3rd Palisade starting with a 2021 Limited, then a 2025 Calligraphy, and finally the 2026 Calligraphy Hybrid AWD. I selected the hybrid for 2 reasons, one being the increased gas mileage and the 2nd was the increased horsepower. While reasonably pleased with the performance, I'm terribly dissatisfied with the vehicle mileage. The 29 city/30 highway sticker estimate is way off as I'm getting approximately 27 locally, but only about 24 on the highway(Gas mileage was calculated using mileage and actual fuel consumed). Hyundai of Jefferson City service says there's nothing they can do since the vehicle is not indicating any problem issues. I can assure you it's not the way I drive the vehicle. Both of my previous Palisades got better MPG than the EPA estimates.

Problems with my Palisade Hybrid

Had two major electrical issues within the first month of ownership. The front louvers didn't open and close properly and the instrument panel went blank. The vehicle has been in the shop since 1 Dec 2025. Currently requesting Hyundai Motor America buy back the vehicle under the state Lemon Law.

DON'T BUY! Computer fried just by sitting in my driveway for a week.

Died by sitting in my driveway for two weeks in below freezing temperatures. Not only did the battery die, but it somehow also fried the hybrid system. Would not recommend to anyone.

I just need another one.

If I wasn't having issues, I would love this car but it is in the shop more than it is home. I know that they are not all like this but I believe I have a lemon. It is in the shop even now for a repetitive battery issue, this time. Also spent 19 days in shop due to corrosion which needed new parts as soon as I got the car. Hope Hyundai does right by me and gives me another car.

Too many issues and service is terrible at my local dealership!

I was SO EXCITED to purchase this vehicle! I wish I had NOT now. TOO MANY SERVICE issues for a brand-new car. Battery sensor needed replaced. Motor and wiring harness for the Air Flap (backordered until who knows when) is no longer functioning and alerting all of the time. SPEAKING of alerting of the time: the cruise control system is completely broken. No matter what eyewear (or NONE at all) and no matter where I sit the cruise control alerts every few minutes that I need to pay attention or move the wheel. I dart eyes everywhere, wiggle the wheel and it STILL disengages on me. I HATE THIS!!! It is BROKEN! I am resorting to creating hours of video footage where I move the seat to every possible position, change eyewear, open and close the sunroof (both) and have other people drive with the same results to PROVE to my terrible dealership (service not sales) to ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME. They have ONE service writer (and he is called the service manager!). No loaner vehicles (they "just signed up for this and it has not been approved yet). Just how am I supposed to trust a SERVICE DEPARTMENT with ONE person? I have no idea how many mechanics... because you drop your car off at the sales lot. This is not the experience I was signing up for. I have had four KIA vehicles.. and they were great. This is awful! I thought I was getting a "better than KIA experience" since Hyundai is supposed to be the premium of the two. No WAY I will buy a Genesis (on my list) now! I COULD NOT BE MORE UNHAPPY. There is a recorded shimmy (service didn't fix it, just said they noticed it ALSO (?!?!) The keyfob is as far from premium as is possible! It is a light weight, ugly piece of garbage that I am embarrassed to be seen with. The emergency key is not even built into the fob! You cannot manually adjust the brake regen (as I was expecting to have!) as well. If the opportunity presents, and I have the ability to Lemmon law this thing... I will do it without hesitation! Such a shame! I really thought this would be a great car! Interior is great. Looks pretty good too! Dealership service needs to be completely fixed from the ground up! There is no excuse for shoestring budgeting! The owning dealership is Ford, Mercedes, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, and Land Rover... and Hyundai has a single person?! I have an excellent idea where their priorities are, and I am not part of their respected business, that is clear.

MPG estimates way off.

I like the most features of the Palisade, however the promised MPG of 28-30 is way (way) off. We drive carefully, and with a light foot on the accelerator...but we are lucky to get 23 MPG, even at 65 MPH on the interstate. This is a MAJOR disappointment. We would have never purchased this SUV if the MPG numbers were accurately reflected on the EPA estimates.

I brought a lemon

I purchased a brand-new Hyundai, and less than ten days later experienced a serious safety issue when the entire dashboard and infotainment system went completely black while driving. The Hyundai dealership could not recreate the problem and told me “no issue found,” despite the obvious risk. Less than a month later, the check engine light came on, and my vehicle sat in their service department for over a month waiting on a back-ordered part. I understand repairs can take time, but the lack of urgency, extended loss of use, and absence of meaningful support or compensation on a brand-new vehicle has been extremely disappointing. This experience has raised serious concerns about reliability, customer care, and how warranty issues are handled.

Unreliable Though when worked enjoyed driving car

Within two weeks of owning the car, the battery was dead and the car wouldn’t start. It took over a week of back-and-forth to get it replaced, and then, unbelievably, the new battery also died within a month.

Disappointed - Needs Work

Look to the pros and cons. I needed a reliable vehicle. The hybrid wasn't at all. The battery kept dying. Had it towed the first time. Then found that my battery jumper box could get it going the next 2 times. A total of (3) times to the dealer to resolve the issue. Changed the battery twice. The third time they had it for more than a month. Hyundai engineering still hadn't resolved the problem and the dealer had (3) other hybrids with the same issue. So disappointed and a new car that I couldn't count on or drive. I really wanted a hybrid due to the many miles that I drive in a rural area (100) miles from the nearest dealer.

Hybrid stats WAY overinflated — false advertising

I keep seeing palisade ads boasting (up to) 35-36 mpg. I understand those are perfect driving conditions so I expected around 30 or at least high 20s... I've been getting low 20's. Like 22mpg of granny driving on eco mode. I was complaining to my friend who has a super boxy jeep and he was averaging 18.5. Why did I pay extra for the hybrid?! This is stupid.

Inconsistent behavior

I like the way it drives but there are a few things that drive me nuts about this vehicle. Note that I never use the actual key fob - just my phone. 1) some days when I walk up to it iwt hmy phone it unlocks the doors, other days it does not 2) Some days I have to actually put my phone in the wireless charger cradle in order to turn on the car other days not 3) I permanently keep a bike race on my car so EVERY SINGLE TIME i turn the car on I have to press the button to deactivate the rear safety system once and then again for 3 seconds. OMG so annoying because I forget and then I reverse out of my driveway and it immediately stops - quite suddenly 4) I have android and my wife has an iphone so she cannot use her phone to use the car and has to use the key fob. OMG again. We are in 2026. Not all families have the same type of phone. 5) Lane keep assist is not very good at all. To the point I can't really trust it. 6) Cruise control is too "violent" for example if i am at 45mph and it is set to 65mph it will accelerate too hard to get to 65mph. I would like to be able to adjust how fast it accelerates in these situation or have a setting to preset how it behaves.

Bad air flap problem

Have had an air flap problem since the car was brand new and am quite frustrated. It had been well over a month, and still no part. The motor runs even after the car is off. I am very concerned that it is wearing my battery out.

Not what I thought

I thought Hyundai had caught up and maybe passed American quality but I am mistaken. I bought the highest level of Palisade, expecting it to be as good as or better than the Buick I replaced. It is not. The ride is rougher, the features are confusing to use and the quality is not as good. I was disappointed.
