Spacious car with lots of features

Overall, the 2026 Palisade Hybrid is an excellent family vehicle that excels in interior packaging and fuel efficiency. However, at a $60k+ price point, there are notable omissions in the driver-assistance suite—specifically the exclusion of RSPA 2 (diagonal/perpendicular remote parking), which feels unnecessarily gatekept for the Genesis brand. From a UX perspective, the camera system is great, but accessing it would be much more intuitive with a dedicated physical button on the steering wheel rather than reaching for the console. Finally, as an owner who values data, the MyHyundai app is currently too limited; it should provide detailed trip history and drive analytics (efficiency per trip, distance tracking, etc.) to match the tech-forward nature of the hybrid powertrain.

Hyundai Palisades

I absolutely hate your keyless entry. I don’t understand why you can’t have it so that when you walk up to the vehicle, it automatically unlocks and when you walk away it automatically locks. Your key fob is also huge. Also, you need to put a sunglass case in the overhead console. You’re smart cruise control is weak as you guys should offer some sort of hands-free driving. Other vehicles in its class offer this and it’s time that Hyundai step up and offer hands-free driver assist.

Nice vehicle with a few flaws

The electronic system has a mind of its own. The speed control James on the gas when changing lanes instead of a natural acceleration. I phone Waze turns on and off and so does the Sirius radio. No reason.

I do like my Palisade BUT!!!

I haven’t quite got the gas mileage that was advertised. There is still a slight problem with the automatic seats. I bought the car as new that was driven by a Hyundai executive so it had so many miles on it I had to get an oil change shortly after purchase. It would of been appreciated if they would have at least offered a free oil change.

Horrible 12v battery design for hybrid Palisade

My 12v battery dies every few weeks. None of the systems light up and no indication of this happening on the blue link app.

Wonderful SUV but tempered by early poor reliability

When the Palisade is working, it is great. However, for the first two months of ownership, it had two complete 12V battery failures and the Hybrid Battery Management system needed to be replaced. We had the car home for only three weeks out of those two months. It is back home now and apparently it has been fixed. We are slowly gaining trust in it again. The Palisade is so smooth and quiet. It is a pleasure to drive. The overall build quality is top-notch.

This is a high class vehicle at an affordable price point. Beautifully outfitted with all the useful extras we want. Well designed to be user friendly and easy to get to any configuration necessary for a variety of purposes--more or less cargo, fewer or more passengers. Everyone who gets into it is surprised by all it has to offer.

Overall great car, but some things need to be addressed!

For the price, the luxury features included are amazing. This car is filled with $100k worth of options. It is roomy, comfortable, fully loaded! No other car has what this car has at the price point point! 7 seat suv getting an avg of 26mpg is also awesome! While takeoff is very much a hybrid, once you get up to speed, you have plenty of power, and I find myself easily at 90mph without trying. Overall, this car checks off the boxes at a price point I can swallow!

Review of Big Sexy (2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy)

The Hyundai Palisade gives the feel of luxury and comfort for an affordable price. I love this vehicle; it's filled with tech and safety features and the leather interior, illumination lighting and suede headliner all give it a high end, luxurious feel. There are a few interior design details that I am not a fan of, i.e. the location of the start button and gear shifter and how far the middle console protrudes and blocks the underlying storage area. Trunk space is minimal without folding the rear seats. These are all items I can live with and didn't deter me from purchasing the vehicle. I get good mileage with the hybrid engine though it is a little less than advertised. Otherwise, I love my Big Sexy!

New Hybrid Under Delivery

The overall technology, integration with the phone application, and performance of the proximity key seem flawless compared to other vehicles owned. The ride is smooth and the interior is high quality and comfortable for the price point. Where I feel the vehicle under-delivers is the improved gas mileage for a hybrid. Still getting only around 20 mpg in stop and go traffic in the city is a little disappointing, but still an improvement from past models owned.

5,000 mile experiences

1. the cruise control is "twitchy", sometimes engages and sometimes it doesn't 2. as an older driver, it is difficult to connect the seatbelt 3. the driver's seat is not as comfortable as the others; it is not fitted to the contour of the driver's back. The edges of the seat are too concave. 4. engaging the driver's side door lock at times is confusing. It doesn't seem to work all the time using the key fob or using the inside locking device. 5. once you push start, it takes too long to engage the vehicle. it is a "pain" to use the log - in, it should be voice activated.

Outstanding SUV

Overall excellent SUV. Very quiet and comfortable, making long distance travel seem shorter. Takes a little while learning to operate the controls. Dealer's sales personnel been very good about taking time to answer questions and help. Few suggestions for improvements: I don't like how cruise control works where you have to use first - lane monitoring when I just want adaptive cruise control and be able to adjust your speed without it taking you back to lane monitoring adaptive cruise control. When there is an ice storm and your wiper blades can't be stopped on windshield so you can pull out the blades off the windshield the blades are frozen solid under the edge of the front hood. Makes in bad weather where you can't operate the windshield wipers. Towing- It is an inconvenience each time you want to tow that you need to craw under the car to remove a portion of the rear bumper. I would recommend you develop some type of temporary rubber cover to fasten around the fastener portion of the cover to give a nicer appearance when you need to leave bumper cover off for a period of time for towing. I am currently using black gorilla black tape to hide the white fastener slots and edging. It nice that the towing hitch and ball were included standard where some. mfg's charge $1,000 to have it installed. Very nice the way the rear wiper blade is hid up above for rear window. Lots of extras included at minimal additional cost. Make the above improvements to make your added options complete.
