Transmission is ruined

Transmission needs replacing and now that I’ve done research it’s seems like an ongoing issue with these trucks. Not what you would expect from a brand new vehicle. No warning at all, just got in my vehicle one morning and car is reporting a faulty transmission.

Schnabel Review

Car always had an issue the day we bought it and was never fixed properly. Car pulled slightly to the right once purchased. Called the agent I bought it from and he told us to not to worry and take it into Hyundai any time and they will take care of us. After a while later the pull got very bad and we took the car in. Hyundai never fixed it correctly and always pulls even after multiple alignments have been done.

Worst wind noise from windows

Horrible when noise comes from the windows in the front of the vehicle I believe I’m actually going deaf from it. Taking the car in multiple times to many times to count to get this fixed the only thing that gets fixed is I get new scratches on my trim and a broken window

Needs refining

The sub has wind noise and all kinds of rattles needs refining and better engineering for the product the sunroofs sticks and has to be pub this needs to be internal components here I am very disappointed will be buying another vehicle elsewhere

Smelly interior

Interior smells horrible in summer months. Hyundai has tried several things to get rid of smell, they finally gave up. So so many people have had trouble with the smell in the 2020 Palisade limited. Ridiculous that no fix was ever found. Would NEVER EVER BUY HYUNDAI AGAIN WHEN THEY FIND A SOLUTION FOR THE SMELL IVE PUT UP WITH 3 YEARS

Road noise

Our only and biggest complaint is the road noise. We wanted a quiet car and this is by far the noisiest car we’ve ever owned. Have had it serviced 3 times and they say Hyundai is aware of the noise issue and working on it. In the mean time we have to get rid of the car and find something quieter. In these times of no cars this has been difficult. As soon as we can find something else with the comforts of the palisade but with no road noise we’re trading it.

Obtrusive cabin wind noise

Above 40 mph in most driving conditions wind noise was present. Traded the vehicle after 6 months of ownership and less that 6000 miles. Hyundai acknowledge the issue, provided the dealer guidance on how to hopefully fix it, but they were never able to resolve the issue.

Engine disaster

I Had to have the entire engine replaced at 18k miles. This was after a year of countless oil consumption tests and service visits. Car was at dealer ship for 2 months for engine replacement- the ENTIRE summer.

Customer satisfaction???

Do not expect any help from anyone after you drive off the lot with Hyundai Corp. purchased this car new and had a real issue with interior smells that no one wanted to address. This problem was apparently known to Hyundai and last I heard there is now a class action lawsuit filed by other purchasers. My concerns were completely ignored by the dealership and Hyundai. Very disappointing. Traded it in after 6 months, Never had such a bad experience with any other car, dealership or corporation.

A towing vehicle that can’t tow!!

This vehicle has a recall preventing use of tow lights with NO fix identified for almost a year. A major functionality of this vehicle is NOT available which is UNACCEPTABLE. Until this is fixed and the vehicle can actually be used for one of its major functions, I will actively advise others to avoid the Palisade and the Hyundai brand as a whole

Good vehicle with a major flaw

I like the exterior, interior, and smooth drive, but the wind noise is unacceptable. It's 2020 and the noticeability of the wind noise is something you'd expect from a vehicle worth less than half of what I paid for it years older. This is why I have to rate it so low.

Gas guzzler

I had problems with my Mitsubishi 2015 but I wish I would have kept it this truck is too basic no power seat no satellite it is too basic then you can hear the outside when you drive already recalls and it was a 2020 and it is a big gas guzzler

BUYER BEWARE - Hyundai No Longer "Fixing" Wind Noise Problem

We bought a beautiful 2020 Palisade in 01/2020. We'd read reviews about the front driver and passenger side wind noise at higher speeds and read that Hyundai had a "fix" for that problem. Our dealership assured us they had already had customers with the wind noise problem and were actively working with them to resolve the problem, as there was a Hyundai service bulletin about the wind noise issue and a "fix" for the problem. A few days after we took delivery of the Palisade, it went in to have the service department evaluate the wind noise problem - they agreed it was an issue and ordered the parts to have it repaired (they told us 3K in parts, but warranted). A couple of weeks later, the parts were in, they called to schedule the repair. When we arrived this morning for the scheduled appointment, we were told that Hyundai issued a notice days earlier that they were suspending repairs for wind noise. So, we have a lovely new vehicle purchased mainly for road trips, with a loud wind noise problem that Hyundai suddenly will not stand behind. BUYER BEWARE!!

Wind noise negates any positives!

I loved the design, features, ride and almost everything about the vehicle, except the horribly intrusive wind noise emanating from the driver's side door/window. If this can be fixed, I'd certainly reconsider my rating. It's hard to believe that this was not noticed by engineers and remedied before the vehicle was released.

I want to love this car, but....

There are so many good things about the palisade. The interior, all the bells and whistles, exterior styling - all positives. However, what’s ruining the car for me is the wind noise. It’s like when you think you put up the window all the way, but left just the smallest opening and so it makes that annoying whistling sound. Anytime I hit 50 or more, the wind noise is so distracting it truly diminishes any other positive aspect. In hindsight, I think this is why the salesman kept rolling down his window and pointing out the noise I wasn’t hearing from other vehicles, to distract from the wind noise that would have been very obvious. I bought the Palisade just about 3 months ago and have fewer than 1000 miles. But until Hyundai is able to come up with a fix, I could not in good conscience recommend this car.

Hyundai Palaside Stink

We have had our Palaside for 3 days the interior smell is horrible. It smells like a putrid formaldehyde/garlic smell. I can not drive it because the smell makes me physically sick. Will be trading it

Not ready for sale

Avoid this company at all cost. They continually refuse to help on the extensive problems we have had with the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Just search Palisade Wind noise and toxic smell on google. You should never need to visit the dealer 4 times for the same problem (engine light) before you get to 1400 miles. A lot of problems with this new model. Corporate assign a representative (Paige) that was basically useless. She said up front there is not much they will do. From the start I was nothing more then a problem she needed to get off her books. Just recieved a message from her that basically said sorry about your luck. This company may be good in other parts of the world but here in the US they do not stand by their product.

Deafening Wind noise-Hyundai does not care

My family and I were very excited to purchase our first brand new vehicle. After a ton of research we decided upon the 2020 Hyundai palisade. Not a month into our ownership we started To have the terrible wind noise. It is so loud that it shakes the vehicle and leave your ears ringing. I immediately contacted our dealership who told me that they had no solution to fix this and suggested I reach out to the corporate office. I did and after two weeks of back-and-forth calling and emailing nothing was resolved I was basically laughed at and told that I needed to go back to the dealership. I’ve never in my life experienced such poor customer service. Hyundai had an opportunity to make it right and refused, which is why I will never recommend nor purchase a Hyundai ever again.
