Nice but missed the mark

Nice vehicle, however it needs improvement in areas of wind noise coming from the front windows. It also idles very rough so much so my mechanic thought there may be a problem with the engine. The lift gate goes up and down very roughly and sometimes not at all. Front seats don’t go back far enough s o taller people have to sit in back seats. On coming drivers flash at night thinking my high lights are on even when they are not. The notch in the headlights beam is distracting. and reliability is now questionable .

Beige interior still stinks after a year and a half. No good fix from Hyundai. Ridiculous for a vehicle costing this much.

Interior still stinks. Hyundai knows of this problem in the 2020 Palisade Limited with beige interior. Their answer is to spray Febreeze down the head rest holes which does not fix the problem. It is a shame that they don’t value their highest end vehicle enough to correct the problem.

Just ok vehicle

While the manufacturer Warrenty has been great, the vehicle has had issues. Oil leak (now resolved), sensors keep randomly going off but unable to resolve. Interior and features are just average when compared to vehicles I have owned in the past. Great looking SUV, ok ride,

this Palisade is quite nice. The Palisade is very comfortable. It starts every time I push the button. The only complaint I have is the lack of power seat for front row pax seat. This, I think is egregious .

Overall we enjoy this vehicle but there have been a hamdful of issues that have come up and are disappointing with having a new car

We like the care but have been disappointed in the quality of some items and have had small issues which are annoying: steering wheel noise, window whistles, flickering camera, idling noise from engine while parked?

Windshield/Paint Very Cheap

Local dealer wouldn’t give the same trade in and sale that a dealer 4 hours away would. When I advised the local dealership I was told to get in my car and drive for the deal. Windshield cracked across entire front either because of a bump or temperature. Paint peeled on front left panel in a car wash.

Disappointed

Thought Hyundai’s flagship vehicle would have delivered better quality. Vehicle was also missing some things like power folding mirrors that were a huge omission to my driving experience along with the wind noise and smell in the interior of the car.

Hype is Not Always Worth It

I had this SUV for 2 years. Tires are wore out in less than 30,000 miles. Worm gear in the steering wore out 3 months shy of 2 years. This is a known issue, but no permanent fix. Putting the same subpar parts in for replacement. 4WD is not as good as other Hyundai SUV's I've owned. I was following this SUV online for a year or so before it came out and was very excited to purchase one. Not as excited about it now.

Great experience, Roberto salesman did an amazing job.

My sales rep was consistent, texted me daily timely to follow up on my vehicle. Great experience. I had a bad experience with the 2020, after talking with Roberto he helped to get another vehicle in my price range and advocated for me as a customer. He assured I was equipped with knowledge about the car and taught me things I never knew and had a pallisade for 2 years.

Loved The Promise

Love my car! I bought it the first year it it was available. First issue was a foul smell that became very pronounced when new car smell wore off. . Two years later and multiple trips to the dealer it is still a problem. Then problem started with oil consumption and engine pinging at about 25k miles. Still working with dealer to fix that. If the just get those issues fixed I would be thrilled. It just is taking too long to resolve the issues.

Opinion of Palisade

The Palisade is fine. It just doesn’t in my opinion measure up to a Hylander. It has a lot of engine noise when idling, tire wear, issues with the voice navigation and other minor issues. I have had 4 Highlander and have had zero issues with any of them.

Great auto but has problems

While the auto is good the service department is awful and you will need them. In the 2 years i have owned this auto i have had seat belt problems, engine problems, steering problems and A/C problems

Disappointing

I drove the Palisade for a year, was disappointed with the automobile, I did not like the whistling noise that was coming from either the driver's side window/door, sold it and bought myself a Lexus RX350L

Expect the unexpected!!!

Just passed a 1000 miles and can’t wait to drive many more miles. Got all the bells and whistles except the AWD. So far this car is as advertised. Great job Hyundai. Former 2015 Genesis owner so sadly, I do miss the total quietness of a Genesis. Differently worth trading up from a 2017 Sante Fe.

Unexpected Happiness

Never thought i would own a Hyundai and we love it! we've owned high end cars over the years.. we are jaded with almost all ne new cars we've purchased but this Palisade is different..it's been a long time since i was proud to drive such a car and it's a Hyundai of all brands... taken the family on a road trip up and down California with 4 adults 2kids 6 phones charging at the same time.. at n average of 70mph i was getting close to 26MPG on regular gas..was not expecting that.. overall very satisfied.....it's not perfect but i would say it can probably outgun alot of highend Luxury brand vehicles... test drive one and you'll see what i mean. Just sad that the limited only has 7seats / captains chairs.. we needed an 8seater so we had to compromise to the next trim down...

I enjoy driving this car. There is a lot of space for shopping and errand running. I am still learning how to use all of the high tech gadgets, the ones I do know how to use are very helpful. I cannot wait to take a long trip and see how well it performs.

This vehicle is overall great. A few issues thus far: 1) driver seat is uncomfortable on the tailbone for extended drives, 2) the battery light flickers when the car is in adaptive cruise control and has to come to a complete stop, and 3) there is no indicator/warning for low fuel (got down to 20 miles left in the tank and no low fuel indicator came on).

A little short.

I would have given it a five but couldn't because the spare tire is a donut, the driver's seat is not electric, and the roof rack or trailer hitch was not an option. I am not a fan of the limited edition but love the model. More things should have been standard since the Palisade is the upgraded version of the Santa Fe.
