Style meets poor craftsmanship

The 2025 Hyundai Palisade Night edition is a beautiful car. Unfortunately its production doesnt meet the spirit of its unique design. A cars outward appearance could be argued to be the most important aspect. Curb appeal helps a car give the dopamine and serotonin we crave. Not only the beauty of a new car but the comfort in reliability is a key point of rationalizing an exceptional price for a non essential product. With that being said, confidence in my purchase was greatly deteriorated when I discovered the shortcuts that had been taken while building the palisade. After less than 3000 miles the paint on my car is failing. With any slight disturbance the paint looses adhesion and flakes off revealing untreated chrome. This is a lapse in oversight and a lack of accountability on quality. To make matters worse when advocating for a fix from hyundai representatives I was denied a rational solution even tho the representatives admitted it was poor quality. In conclusion, I am stuck with a exponentially depreciating vehicle that I would happily trade away or sell it were it not for the negative equity. I plan to patiently wait until its value stabilizes then rid myself of burden that was not suppose to be. A brand new car should not turn into a project car within the first decade of its ownership let alone first month. Due to this, the next time I purchase a new vehicle I will happily pay extra for a hyundai competitor in hopes that their principles are of higher caliber.

Recall Not Fixable— pretty disappointing

There’s a recall something that has to do with the seatbelts and it hasn’t been mended over the past 2 1/2 months. This is very disappointing.

Alot of small issues

Doors dont lock if car is on, so if I needed to run in and out I can't even lock the door If you leave windows down alarm keeps going off If you remote start your car and then get in the car cuts off even if it hasn't been 10 minutes 3rd row seat belt chime goes off even if no one in the seats

Not Worth the Money

The seatbelts rattle any time you hit a bump or make a turn, and that drives me crazy. I hate the fabric on the ceiling. I’ve owned the car for 1 year and there have already been 3 recalls. I owned a Honda Accord for 19 years and during that time there was only 1 recall. The Accord is a much better car. I miss that car.

Love It But Am Bracing Myself for a Repeat of Mechanical Issues

Pros: Drives beautifully, and has lots of power. Very smooth transmission, and the seats are comfortable. Drives nicely over potholes. Plenty of cargo room. Great-looking - glad they didn't make it ugly like the Santa Fe. The heated steering wheel gets nice and warm. Love the seat adjustment memory. Cons: When the headlights are on at night, there's a spot in the middle where there is no light, so there's always this dark spot in the middle line of sight. The steering wheel doesn't pull forward, and the seatbelts don't fit correctly, both of which are issues for small women. Very poor fuel economy, like all Hyundais. The steering wheel is harder to pull to the left than to the right. Very tight spot in between the door and the driver seat adjustment, so men with large hand will have to open the door to adjust the seat. Sometimes the door lock does not work when I put my hand behind the handle, so I have to pull out my key fob. My prior Hyundai had mechanical issues before it was a year old, and the paint started chipping off after 3 years. I hope this new one is not going to be more of the same.

Wanted love to last, but honeymoon is over

2025 Hyundai Palisade - Loved it at first sight, loved it at first drive, was seduced by safety features and impressed by warranty promises. I bought a brand new Palisade with only 14 miles on the odometer. I have had it for 2 months. The odometer now reads 1841. My first, long 250+mile drive was a dream. My Second 200-mile drive yielded an engine light and shaky handling. (Pulled off highway at first opportunity and stopped car. Read owner's manual, but couldn't find definitive description of concern, so restarted car and engine light was off. Pulled back onto highway and engine ran smoothly again. I made it home. Engine light did not come back on for another three weeks of local driving. Was this a fluke? An anomaly? I confidently headed out on another 250-mile drive, with 4 adult guests. After about 200 miles of driving, the engine light came on, and the car vibrated a little. So, I did what I had done the first time: I pulled off the highway and stopped the car, waited a while, and turned it back on. This time, the engine light was still on. I was in the middle of nowhere, on a Friday afternoon, so I called the dealership. Service couldn't see the car until Monday. Since they didn't seem overly concerned, I completed the drive home at a very moderate pace (with nervous guests), and left my car in my garage until Monday. The engine light came back on when I started the car, so my husband followed me to the dealership (less than 2 mi. away) in our other Hyundai (brand loyalty). Service greeted me promptly and in a friendly manner, said they might keep the car overnight to complete diagnostics, and offered a courtesy wash of the car. I was told that the diagnosis was a spark plug misfire on the second cylinder, that it was running fine now, and that I could come pick it up. When I asked if the spark plug had been replaced and if the work had been covered by warranty, I was told that the warranty wouldn't cover replacement of the spark plug because it hadn't resulted in a Catastrophic (service rep's terminology) failure. I now have the original spark plug and shaken confidence in the car. Nit: They didn't wash the car, which I did not notice until I got home. For me, the spark plug misfire issue constitutes a different type of "catastrophe" not only for me, but for Hyundai in the US, because two other people (including one who had been riding with me during the second incident) have asked about the resolution. One has decided not to consider Hyundai in the short term, and she is looking to purchase a new car soon.

Enjoying Luxury Vehicle

I am enjoying Luxury with this vehicle as it has Napa Leather seats and infotainment makes you more luxury. Only problem I have is tires and floor mats. Floor mats quality is very bad. I replaced a new tire as it is because of flat tire. Flat tire was not got repaired.

So far so good but for the money I feel like it should be loaded. I wished I would have been put in a calligraphy for this price. I wasn’t given the option to check one out even a 2024 would have been ok in the calligraphy

Sorry that I bought this Palisade

Hated the limited color choice. I hate black interiors. The white/beige interior was fine but a red exterior was not available with the light interior. I settle for the blue only to find we all think the color is black. I have never wanted to buy a black car. Buying the car was time consuming and problematic even though I was paying cash and providing a great trade-in. I see after driving the car that it is too big and wide for where I generally park my car. I have to manually close the left side mirror to safely drive it into and out of my garage. After 3 months, I still don't know how to do basic things with the car dashboard. My wife still has not driven the car (bought 10 weeks ago). She prefers her red Kia Sorento.

Tech is underwhelming.

User interface is underwhelming. No wireless Android auto is ridiculous in a car in 2025. Hyundai blue link app for remote services rarely work. Push button transmission is awkward. Small gas tank capacity for such a large car.

Palisade Calligraphy Night Review

I see the Palisade Calligraphy Nigh as an attempt to target other imported owners. It is a decent enough car but there are too many negatives for my liking. I highly doubt I will purchase another one.

Suitable for a family

This car is just too big for me and it is hard to maneuver or park. It is comfortable inside with lots of storage. The engine is large enough but it hesitates when you accelerate. It makes a great family vehicle, not a single person’s car.

Overall Acceptable

Overall, I am satisfied. I do not like the many safety features and the driver seat is very uncomfortable after about an hour. The lumbar support is inadequate.
