Maintenance Is Not Covered

I purchased this vehicle less than 2 months ago with an added on maintenance plan. Now with a powertrain misfire I’m being told the maintenance is not covered on the 2026 palisade. I would have never purchased the car or the additional maintenance plan if I knew this.

No power

This is my 8th brand new car in last 11 years. I have drove cars with similar engine size. This is the only one car which dies when it comes merge in traffic. Feels like the car is in ECO mode. Still give 18 miles per gallon mix. Even worst ever experience with dealers. When I have complained about it HYUNDAI did not step in to find out what was wrong. Non of the company provides this kind of customer service.

I bought this vehicle and after a week someone ran into the back of my vehicle had to take it to the repair shop and that is where it sits over a month later waiting for parts. I was told the car is so new they don't have the parts for it. Now it's time to make a payment on a vehicle I can't even drive.

Battery issue that dealer refuses to know how to fix.

Service Department – Unorganized, Poor Communication, Lack of Experience I purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Limited from steele hyundai kyle texas, and my experience with both the sales and service departments has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Service Department Experience In October, my vehicle experienced a severe battery issue. The battery drained, and the dashboard lit up with multiple errors — check engine light, safety system failures, headlight and door module errors. The vehicle wouldn’t allow me to turn off the headlights or lock the doors. I took it to the dealership the next day, where they kept it for 4–5 days. I was told the battery had simply drained and needed to be charged. By November, the issue became repetitive and clearly cold-weather related. After any cold night: Battery would be below 30% Doors would not unlock (manual key required) Dash full of warning lights Turn signals inoperable Headlights couldn’t be adjusted Heated seats and steering wheel disabled Once the battery charged, everything worked normally. If the car sat 12–13 hours during the day, there were zero issues. If it was cold overnight, the problem happened again. If it wasn’t cold, there were no issues at all. This happened about 15 times in November. On December 1st, I returned to the dealership and waited 3 hours. I was again told the car was fixed and the battery just needed to be charged. I refused to take the vehicle and insisted they keep it overnight. The next morning, I received a call stating the vehicle did exactly what I said it would. I returned on December 5th, only to find out they had not touched the vehicle at all. I was assured a diagnosis would be ready the following week. On December 10th, I called and was told there was still no diagnosis. On December 11th, I received a call saying the issue was fixed — supposedly caused by paint on the threads of a ground wire. This explanation made little sense for an intermittent, cold-weather issue, especially since I was repeatedly told there was no parasitic draw. I was told to pick the car up the next day. On Friday, December 12th, I received a text saying the vehicle was not ready because it was doing the same exact thing again. At this point, my vehicle is less than 3 months old, has under 3,000 miles, and is completely unreliable. The inability to properly diagnose or explain the issue is unacceptable. I had to contact Hyundai corporate and obtain a case manager to assist due to the service department’s failures. Sales Department Experience Unfortunately, the buying process should have been a warning sign. The sales process was similarly disorganized, including refusal to provide an out-the-door price and incorrect application of an EV tax credit to a gas vehicle. I am documenting this experience publicly for transparency and consumer awareness. While there are individual employees who are professional, the dealership as a whole lacks the organization, technical capability, and processes necessary to properly support customers. Overall Impression Overall, this dealership lacks organization, technical knowledge, experience, and customer service. During my many service visits, I’ve repeatedly seen technicians standing around joking rather than working, while service advisors appear overwhelmed and take the blame from angry customers for issues clearly beyond their control. I truly love the Palisade and wouldn’t want a different vehicle. However, this dealership has made ownership stressful and regrettable. I’m sharing my real experience so others are aware of the potential issues. Hopefully, Hyundai corporate will step in and make this situation right.

26’ model Car at shop within 2000 miles with knock

The car is beautifully designed and exactly what we wanted aesthetically, as well as with comfort and loaded with options. Mechanically, I’m in disbelief that I updated a 2020 palisade for a brand new 2026 palisade that now knocks from the engine bay. Rev the RPM, and the sound increases and decreases at idle fluctuation. So after 1 payment made, I’m driving a base Elantra tiny loaner in dead of winter while my heated seat spacious suv is being looked at by the second Hyundai location. Both locations and numerous people have confirmed the “Knock”. My battery had to be charged 2 days after the purchase as well. Not a great start.

Real lemon.#3

Bought 26 calligraphy, white / tan interior, #1 driver seat would only move 1/2-3/4 inch took 3days in service to get to acceptable level never correct.#2 key fob quit working or car would not recognize it#3 try passing another car would loose power. #4 turn on left signal and every light on console would flash in unison with turn signals. ALL of this in less than a month, you can guess I traded it as soon as I could, service never could fix it, they had it more in shop than I had it. I have owned 10 previous hyundais w/ out any problems & traded a 24 limited palisade for the 26, I would not recommend this unit to anyone. Also dealership only has white/ black/ Grey colors so not much to choose from.

Urgent: 2026 Palisade Calligraphy Breakdown / Lack of Loaner Support

My 2026 Palisade Calligraphy is completely dead—so much so that the tow truck's charger was drained in minutes trying to jump it. Because of this vehicle failure, I missed an urgent doctor's appointment. To make matters worse, I’ve been told the car won’t even be looked at until Saturday and that I am being denied a loaner vehicle until that diagnosis happens. It is Monday, Christmas is this Thursday, and I am now stranded without a vehicle I paid a premium for. I expect a brand-new vehicle under warranty to be prioritized, or at the very least, for the dealership to provide a loaner immediately given the holiday week.

Unsafe Vehicle & Horrible Customer Service

I purchased a brand-new Hyundai Palisade, and within the first month of owning it, the car died at a stoplight. I was stuck in traffic with my 1-month-old daughter inside the vehicle. This was not only terrifying, but completely unacceptable for a new car that is supposed to be reliable and family-safe. When we brought the car to Hyundai for help, we were essentially brushed off. We were told that because the car was already sold, they couldn’t help us. No urgency, no accountability, no concern for the fact that this was a safety issue involving an infant. On top of that, my experience with Hyundai’s administrative and customer service teams has been a nightmare. I needed to transfer my title from California to Pennsylvania, and I was repeatedly lied to by Hyundai agents about where the title was sent. I had to chase them down for THREE MONTHS just to get my title sent to the correct address. This caused unnecessary stress, delays, and endless follow-ups on my end for something that should have been straightforward. Between the unsafe vehicle failure, the lack of support, and the dishonest and incompetent handling of my title, this has been the worst car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Additionally, I had 2 recalls on my vehicle and did not find out till calling in-they did not care to email or call for this update that regarded seatbelts. I do not trust this vehicle, and I do not trust Hyundai as a company. I would never recommend this car or this provider to anyone—especially families.

Regret my purchase

I am regretting the purchase of a new 2026 Hyundai Palisade Caligraphy. I started having small issues on day 4. It has less than 2400 miles and have had it less than 3 months and it is in the shop. The entire dashboard goes out for extended periods of time while driving. That means you have no idea how fast you are going. This is our only family vehicle and I feel that it is unsafe/unreliable. This is the first time I have ever bought a brand new vehicle and I am so disappointed and have a lot of regret, because now I don't want to keep it but if I tried to sell it I would be out of a lot of money. Below it asks for a picture of your vehicle but I can't provide that because its in the shop.

I am disappointed that my vehicle from the day I drove it from the dealership I have bin disappointed The vehicle pulls to the right when driven .I returned the vehicle. to the dealer three times they told me it was corrected, but it still pulls to the left The service manager told me the alignment equipment was not updated to repair my car. She assured me she would call me when the alignment equipment was updated to correct the problem . When I asked her how long will it take she had no answer. I am 77 years old ,I bought this vehicle to travel with my wife , how long do I have to wait.

Lemon and Horrible Service

Purchased car, 1 month later it was parked in a garage during a storm with some lightning. The next morning a ton of electrical went out. The dealership couldnt figure it out and we had to go through lemon law procedures. Our case manager told us not to make additional payments on the loan (which we have a recording of the conversation) since they had already had a payoff amount and we signed a bill of sale back to Hyundai. A week later I started getting late payment collection calls from Hyundai Finance. They said they had reported a late payment to the credit bureaus. I was furious. When we confronted the case manager about this, he stopped taking our calls. We had to pull teeth to get this returned. No one at the dealership ever called to see how we were doing or express any concern that we had a lemon. I'll never buy a Hyundai again.

Battery dies 3 times already

I have had the car for 3 months and my car has not started 3 separate times now. Road side assist has had to come and jump start my car in my garage. This has been highly frustrating and inconvenient. I wish I neee bought a Hyundai. Service won’t replace it even though they identified before I purchased that it was a faulty battery bc it was a floor model. Not a good look for a first time Hyundai customer. B
