It’s been a fun car to drive so far, the utility of it is impressive. Yes i needed to grab some 4x8 sheets of OSB and 2X12s adjust the tailgate and everything fit with no issues. No it’s not a full size truck but that is not what I was after. The versatility and sleek new look is great!

I love the styling and the color, most important the ease of getting into the cab, no more running boards and step stools. So far looks good and performs good.

The main reason we purchased this unit we needed a pickup that we could get in and out of the cab with out running boards and step stools. You have brought back the mini truck, the other manufacturer’s left the mini truck. Please keep making the mini and keep it mini !!!!!

Hyundai Santa Cruz

So far, I'm loving my new Hyundai Santa Cruz. I had planned to purchase it for about a year now. I visited the dealer, put $500 down on the vehicle, and the vehicle arrived at the dealership early in July. It coincided with the start of my social security payments. I wanted a new car, even though I am still working full time, when I do retire, I want to have a newer car, and a paid off car.

So far so great!

I moved to the country and needed something that could fit in my smallish garage but also 1) haul my garbage cans and 2) handle my dirt roads with grace and 3) occasionally tow a small trailer. The Santa Cruz was exactly the right fit - and without being a huge beast of a pickup that my wife would have trouble getting in and out of. It's great at handling the size of job it's designed for yet unapologetic about being designed specifically for those lighter jobs, and it's proud to pitch that utility to those less interested in work and more interested in play. Unlike other small truck options out there (thin on the ground though they may be these days) the Santa Cruz doesn't try to satisfy truck people - it has no pretense about being anything other than a crossover married to a truck bed. And with good reason: not everybody who occasionally needs a truck bed actually needs or even wants a whole truck. This thing gets you enough truck to do light truck tasks and go tailgating (did I mention there's a cooler integrated into the bed?) without so much that it feels like it has to drag you into the testosterone-fest that modern truck design has become. By going for a design that blends crossover aerodynamics with truck utility, Hyundai has boldly stepped into a niche formerly occupied in the US only by domestic cult classics like the El Camino and Ranchero or largely-unsuccessful (and oft forgotten) import experiments like Subaru's old Brat or their more recent Baja. Despite the risk, Hyundai has built on the lessons of those predecessors and combined their generally solid crafstmanship, excellent warranty, and newfound solid styling chops to make a genuinely cool compromise that really does feel like its own thing. Personally I'm really happy with my purchase, and I really hope that they do well enough with this model once the initial hype dies down to keep the experiment going and improve on it over time - a success in this space is long-overdue, and could open up a whole range of different kinds of innovative vehicle designs that the US market has been lacking for decades.

This was my first foreign car purchase. I'm very glad I did.

I have never owned a foreign car before. My husband was looking at reviews and watching videos about the Sante Cruz. Everyone loved it. So when we went to look at them, we fell in love. The test drive was what really made my decision. My dealership was more than accommodating with helping me getting into the building and the vehicle. I am an amputee and in a wheelchair. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I appreciate that.

This vehicle has great styling, easy to get in and out, excellent interior, lots of features. Great value. My recommendation is to buy this vehicle if you are looking for a sporty truck that drives like a sports car, but feels like a car.

Love the look, color and feel of this vehicle. Rides wonderfully very comfortable not bad on gas. Love the cover over the trunk and how easy it is to open and close it. Lots of storage space in the trunk.

Excellent so far

Purchased a new Santa Cruz. Suspension is great on dirt, bumpy roads. Good gas mileage on the highway and the cruise control works perfectly. Very comfortable ride. Enough room in the back seat for 2 adults to fit perfectly.

. I enjoy driving my Santa Cruz. I love the style. I love the way it handles. I love the looks I get. It is good on gas. I think the interior is beautiful . I am proud of my purchase and will advise my friends and family to consider a Hyundai next time they are in the market for a new vehicle.

My Santa Cruz

I needed something that provided a lot of utility that was fun to drive. I mountain bike often and will take trips to mountain bike parks. The UTE provides good gas mileage a comfortable ride and has all the utility I need. Very handy vehicle.

Awesome little ride.

Fun little truck to drive and I think it's really cool looking. Needs more power. Should have held out for the turbo, but. Maybe I need to slow down a bit anyway. Dealer can't tell me where to get the roll-n-lock bed cover.

Greatly appreciated

The santa cruz is a sporting little vehicle that turns a lot of heads. Have had a lot of guys walk up to me in parking lots as I'm getting ready to go shopping and say. Wow. That's what I want and then they start with the questions of how it is on gas. How it would so sharp just with it's stance just a little taller. But like I'd like to say as well. I'd like it better with a little more gitty up and go power and just a little taller stance as well. That way the step could be a little lower and not sticking so far out from the vehicle that you hit the back of your leg getting in and out. Thanks for listening.

very happy with overall experience so far, truck has under 1500 miles since new, so I will take more time to evaluate down the road....the audio system is barebones and mediocre sound quality, needs more power for the rear speakers.......

Summary

As per the survey, I stated that there is an issue of the vehicle rolling forward when parked on an incline, and I pushed it in reverse. I have come so close to hitting the vehicle in front of me, or whatever is in front of me. I also dislike the holes in the seats as everything gets stuck in them, and I can’t find seat covers made for the Santa Cruz
