Pseudo truck

This vehicle offers a compelling mix of practicality and fun—as long as your driving stays on pavement. The turbocharged engine paired with AWD delivers confident acceleration and solid traction, and the overall price point feels reasonable for what you get. Features like the roof rack and covered bed add everyday utility, and on-road handling is genuinely enjoyable, making it a good choice for commuting or light hauling. That said, the limitations become obvious once you push beyond city and highway use. Despite its rugged appearance, the tires are strictly road-oriented, and off-road driving is uncomfortable and uninspiring. The running boards feel unnecessary, the bed is smaller than expected, and the crossover/SUV-based platform limits its capability compared to a traditional truck. Interior practicality also takes a hit—rear legroom is tight, and the roof rack produces noticeable wind noise at higher speeds. Bottom line: this is a fun, affordable, road-focused utility vehicle with useful features, but it falls short if you’re expecting true off-road performance or truck-level functionality.

Witness marks on bolt heads non-existent

Warranty work on my vehicle shows that no witness marks on bolts that need to be removed were never touched.

Great vehicle but lousy gas mileage

I love the styling and comfort, as well as the technology built into the Limited. Unfortunately, I am getting very bad gas mileage which is my biggest concern. It is supposed to get 27MPG on average and I am getting 18 MPG at best while driving it super gently during the break-in period. Things that could be improved, besides the MPG, are: - option to automatically lock doors on exit - currently bluelink (if active) will message you that doors are not locked and give you an option to lock them; would be better if it could be set to just do it automatically - wireless CarPlay on the Limited - currently requires phone to be plugged in yet they provide a wireless charger?! - better audio on the Limited - the sound is just meh. has to be turned up at least half way to hear it when the vehicle is moving and the sound is not punchy at all; OK for podcasts and audio books but music sounds horrible.

Great Car

I like the car. I did feel that I was charged too much as the AWD was cheaper than the one I bought. However, I love my car and would recommend it to anyone who is intrested in purchasing a Santa Cruz

Love my car

My vehicle is still new. Not even 5000 mi on it yet. So it is too soon to say too much. All I can say is I'm very disappointed that with how much I paid for my vehicle it didn't come with ambient lighting or a hitch.

Like the vehicle styling.

Like the way, the vehicle looked the performance for towing and the lockable bed retractable cover, and the gross weight you can put in the bed self leveling suspension. The adaptive cruise control. And Blindspot cameras were a plus.

Is a nice little truck. Economy is decent. Styling is good

Nice vehicle for what it is. A small truck. I don’t do a lot of hauling and the size is sufficient. I particularly like the bed cover. It was an extra expense but well worth it. The AWD is constantly working which affects the mileage. With that said still avg. 26 MPG

Love my new 2024 Santa Cruz

This truck/suv replaces a Genesis GV70 and I am pleased because I needed a bed from time to time and this fits my needs. The truck can pull my boat which was difficult with the height of the GV70. My wife drives a Genesis GV80 and we decided we did not need 2 suvs. Overall, very, very pleased with my Santa Cruz!

A bit disappointed with engine noise and difficulty getting a tow hitch harness

The styling is great which led me to the purchase. Having difficulty getting a tow hitch harness. The over all quality is on the cheap side. Very low headroom and the interior lighting system not that good.

Need to make turbo engine standard in these cars to make exterior match the fun to drive aspect. Currently with base engine it is just dull and boring, Yes, gets you where you need to go but engine AGAIN does not match the style you are pushing the car to be.

My impression of the 2024 Santa Cruz SEL with tech pkg

Please see all I wrote and detailed about this vehicle. Overall its a cute lil truck but with poor visibility due to its style design, also very slow outside mirror defrosting unless I am doing something wrong. I have been manually defrosting it.

Overall love the truck. Noted a couple things that I believe needs improvement

Sharp Santa cruz. Great warranty. Styling and performance, and great fuel mileage. Overall getting other people love the appearance of this truck. I think based strip should be in all models. Soon winter shall be here and qill then see how performs in our harsh winters here in New york.

Smooth Baby Shark

This vehicle is the perfect size for me. I needed something higher off the ground that wouldn't get me stuck in the mud in the winter. It is AWD, but 4X4 are too expensive. I am short and did not want/need a large truck. Great style and smooth. It guzzles gas like a truck and the electronic parts can glitch sometimes, but still worth it. The price point is way better than a truck and most SUVs. I feel safe and cool while driving.

I really enjoy my 2024 SC. It is fun to drive, and I get a lot of compliments on the look of the vehicle. I only wish since I purchased the limited trim, there would have been more features that are standard on most of vehicles.

Nice styling for a compact truck

This truck is loaded with electronic features. I am a bit disappointed with the road noise and MAJORLY disappointed that I cannot use my iPhone or Apple Watch with the Digital Key system. Hyundai needs to lean on Apple to get this NFC feature fixed ASAP!
