If I designed it from scratch, it would be this car.

This is my third Hyundai (Santa Fe), and I have the largest SUV (Santa Fe Ultimate) to the midsize sedan (Sonata), now, as Goldilocks would say, "This one is just right!" I enjoy my vehicle. I'm proud of it, I feel safe in it. I hope to have it for a good many years but when the day comes to part with it, I'll get another one. Everyone wants to ride with me, and that says a lot.

Some small things missed but overall very happy.

There are a few very complaints about this car, the technology is incredible, very comfortable, great gas mileage. But - the BACKUP NOISE. Please do something about this. It's awful. Would have been a dealbreaker had I known.

Excellent quality

Good quality on exterior and interior. Fun vehicle to drive and it is responsive. The controls are easy to navigate. Engine fluid levels are easy to read when under the hood. The only complaint I have is expected a little higher MPG - I typically get 33 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

Perfect SUV

If your looking for a reliable, stylish, safe SUV that doesn’t omit the bells and whistles of a luxury vehicle the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is your car! I love my car! The fuel and energy efficiency tied together with Hyundais great safety features makes for a perfect SUV. Not to mention how roomy it is! Would be the perfect family vehicle! Can’t wait to take it on a road trip, I have no doubt it will be the most comfortable road trip I’ve ever taken!

Very sharp vehicle

I love this car. It's very futuristic and looks like a spaceship to some of my passengers. Very stylish. Very up to date. Has a bunch of cool stuff that I probably haven't even found out about. Lights are super bright.

Sporty Fuel Efficient Vehicle

The hybrid model follows the current need to be mindful of the environment. Fossil fuel vehicles will eventually have to give way to alternative methods of transportation. The Hyundai hybrids are a step in the right direction. This car maintains 33 mpg regularly and has gotten as much as 38 mpg. This is with no sacrifice of pep and acceleration. If you are concerned with the environment and the impact motor vehicles have had on it, the Santa Fe hybrid is a good choice.

I had experience with two hybrid SUV's of another brand and wanted to try something a bit smaller yet roomy. The Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid is perfect; I am very happy so far. . just had my 8K maintenance. Would recommend.

Love my Santa Fe Hybrid

It’s the perfect SUV! It has all the bells and whistles, fun to drive, extremely safe. get’s phenomenal gas mileage (33 mpg and uses regular unleaded) and it drives like a luxury vehicle (people always mistake it for a Jaguar)!

Everything I want

Perfect fit. Not too small. Not too big. The gas mileage is phenomenal! And it fits me like a glove. Comfort. All of the bells and whistles but easy to operate and understand. Too competitor against high end cars that take premium gas and return lousy mpg. Fits anything and everything I need. Couldn’t be happier that I gave it a try. My ONLY COMPLAINT is that there are absolutely no colors. Why? Hyundai has the paint for other vehicles….so why am I limited to white, black, gray, silver and another gray (but they call it blue?) It’s the worst feeling that you can’t even find your car in the shopping lot in a sea of blah cars. Whatever happened to REAL colors— especially when then offer them on the cars marketed for younger drivers? Now I have to find a place to paint or stripe or wrap my car for ANY pizazz. It’s so disappointing

Luxury with the expensive name plate

Own one and you will know why I rated it so high. Skip the name plate and look at the value for the money and your decision will be easy. am on my second Hyundai and have no regrets. At this moment my girlfriend joined the hyundai Family with a Kona N. She didn't want to give me my car back.

Grinding/thudding noise from 0-20 mph

A grinding/thudding noise that resemble sewing machine noise occurs when accelerating from 0-20 mph. The noise gets louder when making turns. Many Santa Fe Hybrid owners, even PHEV owners, are experiencing the same issue.

LOVE the car, concerned about repairs

I LOVE this car! The only problem I've had, though, has been ridiculous. What seemed like a minor fender-bender at first actually turned into a 3-month ordeal to get the 4 replacement parts for the work Hyundai recommends. Also, had to wait 2 months for the replacement of a cracked windshield (hit by a rock on the highway).

Great Vehicle, But Needs a Little Help

The Santa Fe Hybrid overall is a great vehicle. It has good performance, and for the size vehicle it gets good fuel mileage. There is plenty of room inside for passenger space and storage in the back. I like the flat folding rear seats when transporting larger items. The styling is very nice, I like the tan/brown interior colors, dash and nav system is larger than I expected. I would have giving this vehicle a 5-star rating if it weren't for a few items that I am listing in the Cons section below.

Great vehicle style and luxury…. Continuous ongoing problem

Purchased brand new Sante Fe Hybrid. Beautiful car, however from day one had issues with something in drive train according to dealership. They contacted Hyundai had to wait for replacement drive train for several months. Indicated this would correct the issue. After installation of new drive train, issue has returned again. Very disappointing. Paying for brand new vehicle with reoccurring issue.

Great car.

Had a 2012 Sonata Hybrid and loved the car, but, as we got older getting in and out got harder. So, we got a 2021 Santa Fe Hybrid that solved that problem, just step in and just step out, so nice. Love all the feathers that we did't have in the Sonata like back-up camera, sensors all around, really comfortable seats, monitors of all systems, up graded radio and larger storage area in back.

I'd do it again!

From the first test drive, I knew this was the car for me. It was instantly comfortable, familiar, and so ergonomic. The interior is inviting, right down to the panoramic sunroof. The sound system can't be beat, and from front to back, the car makes it so easy for the passengers, including the dog, to settle in and enjoy the ride. I've only had it for a few months but already look forward to a lot of great times with it!
