Parking brake engages

Unsafe on the road. While driving, the parking brake engages by itself. It has been at dealership garage longer than I have driven it. Hyundai USA case number 20866603 escalated. I have not had a case manager contact me not once not at all. Neither has the dealership garage contacted me. I need another new hybrid limited AWD SUV.

Very bad experience. Apple Carplay and Touchscreen display is not working properly and Hyundai released the vehicle into market. Hyundai dealership also selling the vehicles with problems to Customers.

Creaky/squeaky seat

The car sounds like it is about to fall apart. Something under the driver’s seat creaks like stepping on a loose floorboard every time I make a turn, accelerate, decelerate, or go over speed bumps. I don’t know how sturdy my seat is if I am ever in an accident. Also don’t know how long it will stand up to the automatic memory setting. The noise started after less than a week and they have not been able fix it after multiple tries. And corporate is no help either. Based on my experience I would steer clear of this car and company.

Nice car but squeaky. Very annoying. Can't get the dealer to fix it after a month. I most likely will have to hire an attorney and declare it a lemon seeing as I can't get the dealer to return a call or text

Brandon Hyundai sold me a lemon

Brandon Hyundai sold me a lemon. Their customer service sucks. I had to nag and beg for any ETA information on repairs. The dealership stuck me with a downgrade for a loaner. I was without my vehicle for over three months. Customer service was non-existent. Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone or call me back for status of my vehicle. Buying this vehicle was the biggest disappointment ever.

Huyndai would not resolve issue with defect that was hidden at time of delivery

Car was delivered in Va which is 3 hours from house. A defect was hidden at time of delivery. Hyundai and dealers could not figure solution to get it fixed where I live. Simply this is bad customer service and shows that the company does not care very much about customer satisfaction.

Don't buy this vehicle

The car broke down on October 28, 2023 and had to be towed off a major highway. The dealership that we towed it to has had it 41 days and it is still not fixed. Very bad service from the dealership

I think you can read prior comments, the vehicle was a lemon and was in the shop more than it wasn’t. I will never purchase another Hyundai or recommend to anyone. I am very disappointed and truly would like to file a lawsuit against Hyundai

No support from hyundai

Already documented. Dealership and Hyundai have failed to earn my confidence in safety of vehicle. I am driving a car that has lost power while driving on the highway. The response I have received is bring the car back if it happens again.

Poor initial reliability

Upon delivery, bluelink would not work. Dealer could not get it to work. Several times the hybrid battery level went to 0. Infotainment system slow and unresponsive. Had a turbo boost failure. All within first month. Vehicle was at dealer for 2 weeks for repairs.

Early Problems

Replaced a 2021 SF Hybrid that had ecu problems with this 2023 SF Hybrid. Total brake failure at 3350+ miles. Been at dealer for 30 days so far with no information as to what is to be fixed or when. Poor communications.

Not what I expected from a hybrid vehicle

I got this vehicle because what I really wanted was not yet available. I was led to this by my spouse, a 2 time former owner of a Santa Fe, but have been totally disappointment with the purchse of this thus far. Hybrid gas mileage is poor for what I thought I would be getting, and the overall power is rather low. Maybe I should have waited just a little longer for what I wanted. Too late now.

Cannot get out of first gear; maintenance at dealership is unreliable

Six times so far , and with 13,000 miles, the car cannot get out of first gear after a full stop. Correction requires pulling over in traffic, turning the car completely off, and then restarting. Hyundai's "free" scheduled maintenance was not provided for the first oil change because the dealership was making reservations no earlier than 6 weeks into the future. So the free maintenance, not provided by Hyundai, ended up costing me $200 out of pocket at an independent shop. Later, scheduling maintenance for the inability to shift gears was a one-week wait. Then, on the scheduled day, they didn't have time to run diagnostics, so they did that on day 2. Day 3 and looking into the future, they still have the car, and hope to work on it sometime soon.

I was sold a defective new Santa Fe that was known about and they keep saying it a IPhone problem I don’t care I just want it fixed by the person that sold the vehicle to me

I have a vehicle that I can’t use because I can’t use the phone as a DAV I must have a phone that I can talk with the VA . The people know of the problem but blame the I phone. iPhone didn’t sell me the vehicle Hyundai did

2023 Santa Fe hybrid Limited

We’ve owned this car about a month and for the most part it’s been great. It has tons of tech features, rides smoothly, and has wonderful fuel efficiency. We have however come to find out several annoyances that were not disclosed to us prior to purchasing the car. First, as this is a hybrid, when the car is put in reverse, it emits an exceptionally loud beeping noise from a speaker under the hood. This is an alert for pedestrians so we understand why it exists, however the beeping is so loud we’ve grown accustomed to parking in pull through spots whenever possible so we don’t have to worry about reversing and startling anyone. When pulling out of our driveway we worry that we’ll wake up the neighbors. It’s frustrating as other hybrid makers have found solutions for this that don’t equate to the sound of a service truck backing up. Secondly, while wireless Apple CarPlay exists on lower end models, it apparently isn’t available in our limited model. This is a huge annoyance as we have to manually hard wire our phones into the car in order to use CarPlay. This is compounded by the fact that even though there is a usb port hidden under the center console that’s perfect for tucking phones away, it can’t be used for CarPlay integration - you’re forced to use the usb port that is front and center on the console, meaning we have a long cable dangling down by our console at all times. It’s almost insulting that our top of the line model doesn’t have a simple feature that lower end models have. Finally, after fueling the car for the very first time, our check engine light came on. No big deal - called the dealership and brought it in to be fixed. After an hour we were told that they can’t fix it and we’d have to bring it back for a full diagnostic. Only issue is the shop can’t fit us in for a month and after they diagnose it they’ll have to order the necessary parts, only for us to bring it back for a third time to have it fully fixed. We understand that new cars can sometimes have issues, but after being sold white glove service, it’s frustrating to see that we have to wait this long on a fix while being inconvenienced and having to bring the car in 3 separate times. We’re first time Hyundai buyers and we want to love this car - but our experiences thus far have left a sour taste in our mouths. We just hope that we can get this car fixed and maybe future software updates can address the aforementioned annoyances. For anyone considering purchasing this vehicle, be aware that there may be frustrating things waiting for you on the other side.

Overpriced Good looking Mid size SUV!

It's not at all worth Market Adjustment price. Lacks tons of interior features like wireless CarPlay and wireless charger is joke. Ride quality is good but it is because of soft rubber and low load capacity factory installed tire (which will wear out in less than 10,000 miles!). Google maps or Apple Maps on CarPlay lags like anything and not at all reliable to reach on destination. Lags for more than a mile sometimes! The issue lingers for a while and neither Hyundai nor apple tried to fix it. Waste of money and disappointment for $55,000 car. Leg room and head room in both rows are decent. Cargo space is better but less due to battery pack under the cargo cover.

Love the features, looks and driving of the vehicle... but stranded at 1500 miles...

We love the vehicle in so many ways, but are disappointed that it broke down and left us stranded by the roadside after just 1500 miles. We've always purchased Toyotas but decided to give Hyundai a try after reading and shopping. Our last Toyota gave us 147,000 miles with ZERO breakdowns and only routine maintenance costs. We'd still be driving it if it hadn't been totaled in a snowstorm accident. Hoping our breakdown was a one-time occurrence, but disappointed we had to experience it. Now we'll be hesitant to hit the road like never before.

Mpg comfort back up noise

Very comfortable and quiet drive happy with this aspect. Mpg far lower than advertised especially for a hybrid. Back up noise level high and cannot be adjusted. Many controls and safety features still trying to understand them all

Disappointed

Broken since purchase and cannot get it fixed. 3 trips to dealship. I filed a case number with Hyundai trying to get the company involved. It has cost me 3-4 days of my time with no result. Hyundai Technical Support needs to get involved the dealership.
