Almost perfect but missing autonomy on settingings.

I like everything about the vehicle except for the following issues. First the consider taking a break notification can not be disabled currently have a 2026 santa fe hybrid cali trim at this price point i expect more autonomy of what settings i want on or off. The second issue i have is that the drive assist is very abrupt with its turns and it jerks my body quite violently, the lane assistant is also not accurate. I dont know if thats a software issue of it not being fast enough to read the lines or if its a hardware issue with the sensors. Either way it needs improvement as well. Everything else i love.

Love the Car.. Still needs some improvements. The calligraphy Hybrid needs more horsepower and a bigger battery. I also don't like that some features have been removed from the 2026 model compare to the 2025 model.

Needs more room

The truck room is not enough. Make vehicle a foot longer. No spare tire space. If you can do like jeep and put it on the back that would be great. Keep in mind motor on trunk opener would need more power for the weight, or make it like jeep does where the back opens to side. Mpg calculated is always about 10% below indicated. Your computer claims better mpg than it really gets. And it still doesn’t hit you highway claims while driving it calmly.

just ok

first 4 days roof rack end caps fell off and lost on highway dealer has still not provided replacements. cannot shut off door unlocked notification on app. seatbelt receivers are to low hard to reach. temperature controls do not remain set have to do setting every start up. auto braking and adaptive cruise is way over what is needed. rear seatbelt sensors continually beep if you put a bag or anything on seat.

Nice but broke in one week

One week in to owning the vehicle we started hearing a squeaking from the steering column. The dealership said there was a broke harness in the steering column and the moved it around. It still squeaked and they said they would order the part. That was the second week of November. We have not heard anything about the repair and when I recently phoned the service department they could not find the part order. We were told in December “it is still in transit.” Disheartening that a brand new 2026 vehicle “broke” within a week of ownership.

Rear door opens by itself and was damaged, hit closed garage door.

Putting in a 4 character code each time is annoying! Rear door has opened on its own several times now.

Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy

So far i am really liking the vehicle, however i have encountered several quality control issues. First the drivers seat upper lumbar was broken, and second i had to have my steering column replaced due to squeaky issues, that are apparently very common for this particular model. Both were done under warranty with no issues. Other than that, it drives well, my gas mileage isnt quite what the sticker stated, but it is also the winter months, so hoping come spring/summer it will go up.

2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy

So far car is good. A little overwhelming the technology (last car was 15 yo). One thing I do not like is the driver deferent owners manuals do not have a rear index thus making it hard to research. Also driver storage is minimal compared to my 2011 Hyundai Sonata limited. Santa Fe center console could be a little more driver storage friendly - the rear drawer that opens under neath for rear passengers is a waste.

Game Changer

All digital dashboard, interior lighting, Pecan Brown interior color, Earthy Brass exterior color - I LOVE the interior/exterior color combo! - 2nd row captain chairs & footwell space, HEV technology, heads-up display, HD cruise controls, storage spaces all throughout. Despite previous positive comments, entry point for big & tall drivers appears to be smaller, narrower than previous Santa Fe models & driver chairs don't seem to go back as far as normal. Overall, it's a rugged but refined multi-purpose vehicle that fits my needs as a family of adult children, commute needs as a business owner & W-2 worker & on date night with my spouse. I'm glad I made the choice to purchase it!

A definite improvement to my previous 18 year old Santa Fe

I purchased the vehicle on 9/13/25 and have just under 3k miles on it currently. I can honestly say that although I have run into some minor irritating issues and annoyances, I am otherwise very impressed by the overall quality and hyundai engineering. That being said, I will list both the irritating things I've come across, as well as the annoyances. Irritating: 1. The fact that SO many features are tied to the top trim Caligraphy model, when some could easily be offered on the lower trims. 2. The fact that there is clearly a space available for a spare tire, yet it is not offered as part of the package. Annoyances: 1. The fact that my Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra phone overheats when placed on the charging pad for even 20 minutes. 2. The fact that the wiper blades are not easily accessible *both front & back) without 1st going into accessory mode. 3. The fact that the infotainment screen seems to dim at random without a logical reason. Sometimes dims in full sunlight. Sometimes dims in a tunnel. And the dealership had no answer other than try to turn the auto mode on the headlights off, but that didn't address the issue. I thought it might have something to do with android auto, but it still happened even after leaving my phone at home and using only for radio. My only other issue is a personal preference thing with regard to the taillights, which i understand are being addressed mid-cyycle for the 2027 model... although, I wouldn't change the headlight design because I do like that. But I understand that the updated taillight design would not work with the current headlight design. However, if I can make a suggestion... I would recommend hyundai continue to offer the XRT version of the vehicle with the same headlight design that gives a more rugged appearance, but incorporate an updated vertical taillight design that works with the current headlights and also give off a more rugged off-road appearance.
