2026 Hyundai Santa Fe

tl;dr, this was a good acquisition. At 100 days, I feel confident we made a wise choice. My wife & I traded in our two 20 year old vehicles (volvo, f150) and now share the 2026 Sana Fe as our sole vehicle in retirement. The updated technological and safety features were a driving force in our decision to purchase a new vehicle. The high end trim package has even more features that elderly drivers would benefit from; but, our fixed income status precludes accessing these capabilities; c'est la vie.

I don't have this car anymore

I don't have this car anymore I traded it back in for a 2025 ionic 5 limited the 1.6 turbo engine just didn't have the get up and go that electric vehicle does and more oddly enough I live close to the Rocky mountains so I'm in the mountains a lot and it didn't have a good downhill speed reducing there's a button on the dash for it but it's still over rev the engine past 4000 RPMs that was more of an issue than anything but don't get me wrong that was a very nice vehicle I loved the interior and the smooth ride I am a bachelor a single guy I didn't need a three-row vehicle though every time I got in it I thought what am I doing with this it's way too big your sincerely Alan Herman

Nice car

Very smooth riding and quiet but the computer is difficult to figure outI didn't realize that it didn't have a spare tire until I had bought it. I'd like it to be lifted higher off the ground

Good and the bad

Overall happy with vehicle. Big issue is lane control … it’s unreliable. Drifts to one side and makes abrupt corrections. Has drifted over white lane markings without correction. Also, sluggish in shifting between 30 and 40 mph. You can fell the vehicle hesitate and becomes a little jerky. The control panel screen for selection of A/C and fans etc is great at night but in the bright daylight it is hard to read.

2026 Santafe

Could use a little more convenient storage up front in the council area. The facial forward looking detection that's in front of the steering wheel is a real pain in the butt. It keeps telling me I'm not looking forward. It doesn't even when I'm looking forward the whole time and then it will do it when I'm looking around at road signs and I'm trying to find out what the speed limit is and where I'm supposed to be going. This problem needs to be fixed

Decent Vehicle

My car is decent and receives plenty of compliments. It's only now that the internal system glitches and it makes a weird sound if in sport mode on the highway then transitioning to driving on the street.

Great balance of smart technology and upscale comfort

This vehicle is definitely an SUV (ie. Smart Useful Vehicle). I'd been driving around for the past decade in a base model Kia Soul, the Santa Fe's spaciousness, smart tech features and interior design really clicked for me. The redesigned, more boxy exterior also appeals to the eclectic design leaning that I enjoy. Although I haven't fully embraced the planet-friendly nature of a fully electric vehicle, I feel comfortable taking a step forward with this vehicle's hybrid engine. So far, I've not regretted that choice, but I'm cautiously comfortable...nothing more. The ride is not bad for the type of vehicle it is, though at this price point, I admit I am impressed. What is VERY impressive about my Santa Fe is level of upscale creature comforts in a vehicle like this at this price point. It's gorgeous, high tech, well thought out, and cool in so many ways. I did grab the Caligraphy trim, so I could experience the most of what the model offers and I am glad I did.

Nice car

Drives well, good mileage. The warning systems for virtually everything are very distracting! But above all the documentation you need to sign that allows you to view a great deal of the information about your car is criminal at best. To say it’s to be used to access your car’s operational characteristics and then all that data can be provided to who ever Hyundai feels merit is receipt. Including law enforcement, insurance, virtually anybody that Hyundai feels merit the receipt of our car’s data is absolutely wrong and we will not sign it. In fact if we had have known about the requirements we would have not bought Hyundai.
