2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy

So far car is good. A little overwhelming the technology (last car was 15 yo). One thing I do not like is the driver deferent owners manuals do not have a rear index thus making it hard to research. Also driver storage is minimal compared to my 2011 Hyundai Sonata limited. Santa Fe center console could be a little more driver storage friendly - the rear drawer that opens under neath for rear passengers is a waste.

Game Changer

All digital dashboard, interior lighting, Pecan Brown interior color, Earthy Brass exterior color - I LOVE the interior/exterior color combo! - 2nd row captain chairs & footwell space, HEV technology, heads-up display, HD cruise controls, storage spaces all throughout. Despite previous positive comments, entry point for big & tall drivers appears to be smaller, narrower than previous Santa Fe models & driver chairs don't seem to go back as far as normal. Overall, it's a rugged but refined multi-purpose vehicle that fits my needs as a family of adult children, commute needs as a business owner & W-2 worker & on date night with my spouse. I'm glad I made the choice to purchase it!

A definite improvement to my previous 18 year old Santa Fe

I purchased the vehicle on 9/13/25 and have just under 3k miles on it currently. I can honestly say that although I have run into some minor irritating issues and annoyances, I am otherwise very impressed by the overall quality and hyundai engineering. That being said, I will list both the irritating things I've come across, as well as the annoyances. Irritating: 1. The fact that SO many features are tied to the top trim Caligraphy model, when some could easily be offered on the lower trims. 2. The fact that there is clearly a space available for a spare tire, yet it is not offered as part of the package. Annoyances: 1. The fact that my Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra phone overheats when placed on the charging pad for even 20 minutes. 2. The fact that the wiper blades are not easily accessible *both front & back) without 1st going into accessory mode. 3. The fact that the infotainment screen seems to dim at random without a logical reason. Sometimes dims in full sunlight. Sometimes dims in a tunnel. And the dealership had no answer other than try to turn the auto mode on the headlights off, but that didn't address the issue. I thought it might have something to do with android auto, but it still happened even after leaving my phone at home and using only for radio. My only other issue is a personal preference thing with regard to the taillights, which i understand are being addressed mid-cyycle for the 2027 model... although, I wouldn't change the headlight design because I do like that. But I understand that the updated taillight design would not work with the current headlight design. However, if I can make a suggestion... I would recommend hyundai continue to offer the XRT version of the vehicle with the same headlight design that gives a more rugged appearance, but incorporate an updated vertical taillight design that works with the current headlights and also give off a more rugged off-road appearance.

Unsatisfactory front seat belts.

Disappointed with front seat belts. Too short and hard to buckle. Extenders not available. To think you need to replace then with longer ones or provide extenders.

Love everything except the falsely advertised ga milage

I truly love the car. and the gas milage that it gets (27-28 mpg) wouldn't bother me if it were not for the fact they advertise the hybrid at 35 city / 34 highway. I'm not a speed demon, I'm a 5 mile over type driver. Who these days, is not in a hurry to get anywhere. I've put just over 2K miles on the car. and it reads today as 28 mpg overall. Over the holidays, I didn't leave the area, driving 30-40 miles/hour average and only was getting 28-29 mpg for 2 weeks. I drive 18 miles to and from the office and I get 27 mph (mostly highway). I went on a trip (200 miles round trip) that was 40% highway 60% 2-lane (average 45 mph - max. 55) and I got about 30 mpg.

Comfortable and fuel efficent.

It is a great vehicle for carrying our 5 grand kids around. The ride and seats are very comportable. The fit and finish seem to be very good. Transitioning to a hybrid was no problem. I am generally well pleased with my purchace. I would advise a new buyer about the non-intuitave nature of the infotainment center. It can be irritating.

2026 Santa Fe

My first experience with Hyundai was with a 2023 Santa Cruz, LOVED IT! But I needed more room, so I purchased a 2026 Santa Fe. Love the car BUT the lane assist does not work properly, I was told to adjust my steering wheel, seat to find a sweet spot, possibly change my glasses or turn it off. I wear prescription glasses so changing that is not acceptable. I have adjusted the seat and steering wheel and can't find the "Sweet Spot" so I just turn it off. This is the only feature that doesn't work right. Everything else about the car is great!! If Hyundai doesn't fix this design issue, I will probably go with another brand when its time for me to change vehicles.

Santa Fe learning curve

Our 2026 Santa Fe Hybrid has probably not my expectations due to the overwhelming amount of technology. While we are happy with the comfort, styling and fuel efficiency. I acknowledge being 74 years old, if I was 12+ years old, all the tech would be easily used and appreciated.

Great car. Bad mpg.

Not getting 37 mpg. The eye safety program turns on with cruise control. This produces numerous false alarms per minute Software needs improvement Love the heads up display, and Hyundai’s speed control and lane assist features.
