engine failed at 3500 miles

We bought this car due to Hyundais reputation and our experience in the past. This car is unsafe to drive in limp mode and I am afraid for my family's safety. I am trying to get the dealer to help us out but they seem too busy with sales

Backordered Parts

We were in an accident and the car has been in the shop for 6 months now because of parts on backorder (and there is still no ETA). This has been incredibly frustrating especially considering the car was practically brand new (only 8k miles). Customer care has been extremely unhelpful. Would not recommend getting a new Hyundai vehicle to anyone.

Worst suv ever

So many issues, Hyundai purchased it back because of Californias Lemon Law. Will never buy Hyundai again. The Sante Fe PHEV is extremely expensive, and built so poorly. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Sante Fe Steering Problems

Very dissapointed that the company does not stand behind their product and own their mistakes. Due to manufacture defects I am replacing tires after only 13k miles. Does not seem to live up to the Americas best warranty sales pitch I was sold on when I purchased the vehicle. If your defects caused a problem fix the problem- Its the right thing to do.

Warning ⚠️ NEW CAR DIED!

This car has given me nothing but trouble. The electric battery has already died. I needed to be replaced, CarPlay doesn’t work, the seat heater had a short, and they couldn’t get the part! I recently just had to change a flat tire and the tire lock key was missing from the kit! This thing has been in the shop more times than I can count, and I am so frustrated. I don’t know what to do as it is now starting to lose acceleration and not keeping the hi-bred mileage as advertised! They sold this to me with a $10,000 DEALER UPCHARGE for just getting it off the lot!!!!

Poor experience from purchase to delivery to servicing- already had 2 recalls. Even for a new car, most things do not work as intended and is overpriced too for the value it offers. Could’ve been better off delaying my purchase

Do NOT buy from Suntrup Hyundai!

I cannot begin to express how much I regret every interaction with this dealership. From the condescending salesman David Tranchillo (every woman: please bring a male, because he does not respect that any woman can make any decision without a man) to the lying manager, I cannot think of any place and low and deceptive as Suntrup Hyundai. I wish I had a hidden camera so I can post exactly how they treated me. If I could go back in time, I would have never gone there EVER! Only go if you are male and wear fancy clothes so the can believe you have good credit. Apparently moderately priced clothing means t[you are lying about you credit score in the 800s. I bought my Honda in scrubs after I was hit by a drunk driver and I was treated with for more respect.

Death trap

Would stall or drop from 66-70 mph while driving and about killed 3 times. According to main headquarters tech flew to dealership to review case, had happened to 7 other cars across the country. No one has died or been seriously injured so they haven’t recalled. Nothing like a company only caring about the bottom dollar and not the safety of people’s lives. I hope someone dies the heck out of this company. Karma

Tear in passenger seat

Tear (small slit but increase in size after sitting) in passenger seat noticed on third day after purchase. Have yet to get this resolved/ said it would have been determined in delivery inspection but we took the stickers off to e tires and antanae. And the inside of car.

I waited for months to get a new Santa Fe Hybrid and traded my Palisade Limited and I'm very disappointed! The features are annoying and I lost the happy feeling I used to get in my Palisade. So sad!

Nice but not worth the price tag.

The veichle has some awesome features packed in and the cargo and leg room are awesome. The storage is also greay but the build materials are sub par. There's frequent cabin noise mainly wind noise and drafty doors. The engine is full of plastic parts and the sheet metal is thin which easily dents. The paint quality isn't the bestband scratches easily. Not worth the price tag and dealer markups. Headlights are nice but not the best coverage if you're driving at night. Stick with a Toyota or other competitive brands.

Random love this car I just have some thoughts about battery life I only get 15 mph battery to 20. I love the engine I love how it’s silent when I don’t have the radio on I love how cabin is quiet I don’t love the place of the wireless charger getting it and leave it in the car but I’d I want I don’t have any ideas where else to put it I would put it behind the navigation screen I would like it extra department behind there or nonskid surface sunglasses when you’re not using them in the compartment or on that non-skid ass about that app I don’t like how that app is not user-friendly at all. I only use it to start my vehicle in the winter that’s all I don’t use it for information because it’s hard to find it is and I’m a visual person doesn’t give me your me to YouTube or anything to talk about how my vehicle works. I never had an electric vehicle. I don’t know how to work. , it isn’t. I’m a visual person. Does it give me a link to like YouTube or anything to talk about how my vehicle works I never had an electric vehicle I don’t know how pulin or hybrid videos, step-by-step videos on how things work a lot of these buttons just have pictures I don’t know what they mean like button P off and that has a picture of a cone I don’t know what that isworks. I don’t know how much charge to pull from the house. And Morrius for App I’m paying for the subscription. I want to use the app besides starting my car. Be nice in the app if I have control of my control if that’s possible and why do hybrids with big batteries have solar panels on the roof. I don’t know if that’s possible but that makes sense to me to have the sun help charge the battery while you’re driving or it’s parked in the parking lot there’s not a lot of power stations at work. Where are you? Were there 15 hours a day or a lot of power gas stations so you can please get a little juice so you can get home. BlueLink Thoughts i’m going to be paying for it. I want it to be better almost perfect. It’s a good app not great. I wish there was more if there wasn’t any thought process on how the user would use this Day to Day. My opinion I think this BlueLink app should offer the best helpful information about your car. Specially if you own a Hybrid or all Electric vehicle for the first time. I’m still learning about my hybrid, but it’s hard It need a whole new rebuild. This app is not user friendly at all. The only thing useful about app is the remote features even with that it’s limited and takes too long to respond. And video(not a lot information)manuals are useless didn’t learned how to find do anything. And always show u a different car information not the car u own😩

Poor service

Vehicle is a great size, engine sounds taxed in higher RPMs. Quiet interior, GPS is not that great at navigation. Had the glass panel explode and said it wasn't covered in the warranty. I reasurch a lot and know some reasons why glass panels can crack. Rear turn signals need to be placed higher in the field of view. Amber rear lights should be standard. Comfortable ride with nice heated and cooled seats. Rear backup alert is annoying and I want to remove it if possible.

This car has been great most days but awful on some. I have had a noise issue in the door that has not been fixed after having it at the dealership. I also had the transmission get stuck in third gear and leave me in a dangerous position.

Disappointed with new Santa Fe Hybrid

We are hyundai family and have been very happy with our previous Santa Fe and decided when time to purchase a new vehicle would go back to Santa Fe. Purchased 2021 Santa Fe hybrid for $42K; that was about $12K over the 2018 new Santa Fe we purchased previously. Missing several key features, heated steering wheel, programmable drivers seat, rear cameras subpar to our 2018 Santa Fe and only get 8 miles more per gallon with a hybrid vs. our 2018 Santa Fe turbo engine?

You can drive without gas

Good vehicle overall, but after a year and 15K miles, I'm not impressed. If it's an (PH)EV, I should be able to drive on EV with a full battery, but not if you push the pedal hard or want to drive faster than 60mph.

Overall a nice stylish suv, good power and very good gas mileage but the cabin interior is very noisy on many roads and the rear end feels like there’s no suspension on rough surfaces.

The car in this review is a 2022 Sante fe hybrid Blue, not a plug in model. The format said a quick review of the vehicle and I can’t submit until I reach a certain number of words. There isn’t any more to mention other than I paid a ton of my savings for a car that’s rougher and noisier than a pickup truck. Okay-enough characters now?

Great ride, comfort and features, but Memory Seats and Alerts ruin the experience

I was really excited to get this car and it's a beautiful, very comfortable car that has a very nice ride. It would have been a 5 star vehicle, except for two aspects that ruin it every single day. Item 1 - it alerts with a very loud and very long beep to speed cameras, where there are no speed cameras. Unfortunately for me this happens every day as it thinks there are cameras right outside my neighborhood. I have tried to get this fixed, through Hyundai without success. An even bigger problem is the seats simply do not remember their position and even move on their own while I have it in drive sometimes. That's dangerous as it moves backwards and I am too short to reach the pedals that it moves to. I have alerted Hyundai to this as well, with no response. My husband is a lot taller than me and he is so fed up with trying to get into the car with the seat at my setting. It simply does not remember his seat setting or mirrors, even when we have tried over and over to program them into the 2 door buttons We have tried for over a year to get this to work without success. I also can't believe they don't tie the key fob to the seat settings, my folks are driving a 9 year old mini van that has that feature. We've never had so much trouble getting our seats and mirrors set when we drive. The final issue it's the only car we've ever had that puts the parking break on automatically. This is a huge pain as our mailbox is at the end of a long driveway so when we stop and get out to quickly to pull our mail out, the car has set the parking break on us.
