HAVE ONLY ONE COMPLAINT AND THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE RADIO AND SPEAKER SYSTEM WHICH CONTINUES TO CAUSE A LOUND OCCASIONAL NOISE.....EXTREMLY ANNOYING

Love my Santa Fe!

My '09 Santa Fe has been performing great so far. I have to give this review four stars because of the built-in navigation system. I bought the car brand-new in 2010 and later discovered that my nav system was from '07--already 3 years old! Whenever I tried to upgrade it, Winner-Ford Hyundai could not find an upgrade for it and told me to get it online from MapnSoft, but whenever I checked, I was told to wait until October of that year. I checked back every year with the same result until finally they said it was no longer available for that model and year. This rendered my expensive navigation system useless, because the map was already so outdated when I bought the new car. The nav system didn't even come with a jack for my iPhone. I finally had to replace it last year with an equally expensive Apply Car Play.

Good SUV

I have my Hyundai Santa Fe since 2009 and few problems have raised but none with the motor or major problems. My problems have been ABS light, tire pressure light or Esc lights that came on and stayed on. Also I had a problem with the gas door opening, the switch at the door fail on me. All of these problems were fixed by Hyundai leaders. I always take my SUV to them. I have 92,000 miles now and the care is in excellent condition, of course except for wear and tear. Some of this services I have been charged for it but I don't mind because they do a great job and they know the car.

Nice ride

I test drove several cars before buying this one. The Santa Fe is a nice ride with AWD. I've done a few road trips and had more than enough room for my stuff.

Love My Santa Fe

My 2009 Santa Fe replaced a Honda Passport. It has been and still is reliable, easy to drive, no drastic problems. Mine has a V6 and can handle traffic on the interstate. I love it!

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

This vehicle was purchased new, part of the "trade clunkers for cash" program. I let go of a Dodge Dakota pick up that I was very close with. At the time of purchase my family consisted of myself, my wife, our son (handicapped 33 yrs) and two hurricane Katrina rescue dogs @ age 4. It now has 84,600 miles on it. My biggest mistake was getting the beige interior. Shows to much dirt plus wear & tear. Dogs own the back, the rear seats stay down, we keep a queen size futon covering the back area. I still like how easy it is getting in and out of this vehicle. Hate when I go to the dealership and get a loaner. I just have to bend and twist too much to get into those loaner car seats these days.

Practical, comfortable transportation

With the exception of the cruise control problem which Hyundai corporate and Zimbrick dealt with to my satisfaction, our 2009 Santa Fe Limited has been a great vehicle. Plenty of power and easy to drive. It is the definition of what a midsize SUV should be. We can haul stuff with the seats down and still be comfortable. We will replace it with another Santa Fe in all probability.

Excellent SUV

I absolutely love my SUV - it has excellent cabin space for front and back seat passengers; it has a very comfortable driver's seat and has many available adjustments, including heated seats in the front; wonderful cargo space; it has all of the additional bells and whistles except for the rearview camera. I just wish the mileage was better; it is the only thing I would change about the car except for perhaps getting a rearview camera installed.

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

We love our Santa Fe. My brother drove our Santa Fe and liked it so much that he purchased a Santa Fe for his next vehicle. The only things we don't like about the Santa Fe are first the bottom of the side panels/ non-functional running boards stick out to such a degree that it is nearly impossible to get into or out of the vehicle without them touching pant legs (which is a problem for a vehicle, in a mid-west state, where we have lots of snow and rain). Second the rubber strips that seal around the door come off way too easily, and we are frequently having to reshape them onto the door frame. And the last thing we dislike about the design is when one window in the back seat is partially down it causes a noisy vibration which is only corrected by opening another window. Otherwise, we love the look, the ride, the excellent gas mileage for a vehicle this size and the roominess for cargo, and we love, love, love the heated seat feature.

A comfortable beast of burden.

Powerful, comfortable, and reliable. Commanding view of the road with a great visibility fore and aft. I have the limited with the large V6 so the acceleration is excellent for a vehicle of this weight. Freeway entry and passing is never an issue. Breaking and handling are excellent, even during downpours. Gas mileage is poor at 16 mpg city and 25 hwy. Headroom is limited for taller drivers.

I've never had issues with the operation of the car. It is easy to drive and has lots of space of hauling. I am a bit disappointed in the leg room for the backseat passengers.
