2009 Santa Fe

Other than a recall for a head gasket leak and the plug which hold down the carpet on the drivers side floor, the car has been performing very well. I only have 62 thousand miles and hope to get three times that amount from it.

Good quality vehicle

The overall quality of the Santa Fe is good but the roads in Pa are terrible along with the very corrosive deicing compounds have taken their toll particularly on the right side of the vehicle; this alone is my only gripe about the vehicle which is no fault of Hyundai. Hyundai could do more along the anticorrosion protection.

Fantastic

This is my 2nd Hyundai SUV and it is fantastic! I'm almost 100% certain we will be getting another Santa Fe again when it's time to get a new one. The Warranty is great and the cost of maintenance won't break the bank.

Great car

I have owned a 2001, 2007 and this 2009. All great cars with no issues. We also owned a Sonota and a Tiburon. I love the amount of space I have. Good power for mountain driving with a high level of comfort. I wouldn't own any other car.

Hyundai Santa Fen 2009

I have a 2009 Hyundai and I had one major issue where there was an oil leak that caused the car to stop running. Hyundai had a recall on replacing only of the oil gaskets. I had to have it repaired twice. Hyundai did honor these issues. Other then this problem the vehicle has ran well with the normal maintenance for wear on this SUV

Love My Santa Fe

I had never had a SUV before. I love it and would buy another one tomorrow. I have had it for 8 years and it only has 50,000 miles. It is a very good, reliable SUV.

May be a decent vehicle, but I'll never buy another Hyundai vehicle.

I bought my 2009 Santa Fe new in February 2010. Since then, it has been meticulously maintained and yet it looks like it is 20 years old. The paint is flaking off. This started a few short years after I bought the vehicle, beginning around 2013. Contacted the dealer (Bill Hood Hyundai of Hammond, LA) and was told it was my problem. I then contacted the manufacturer and got the same story. Only this time, the manufacturer informs me they have solved the paint problem with a new pre-paint treatment and offer a full 8 year warranty on the paint. What did they do for me? Nothing! I had the hood repainted at great expense. When I picked the vehicle up, the body shop owner told me what poor condition the paint was in on the rest of the vehicle. He said the metal was improperly prepared prior to painting. The Hyundai brand is a complete bust for me. It is an inexpensive brand and it only proves you get what you pay for. Buyer beware! My SUV has only 47,000 miles on it as of June 2017.

LOVE MY SANTA FE (I call her Tammy Fe for fun)

In my 68 long years, I have purchased several cars....primarily Hondas and Toyotas. Never have I loved a car as much as I love "Tammy Fe". This car just GOES !!!!! She is, by far, the most comfortable and reliable of all of the cars I have ever owned. She spoils me. It's easy to forget maintenance because she is consistently, predictably perfect. She was parked outside the Cleveland Clinic a full week in February, a couple of years ago, when the temperature was freezing and below. Got in -- and she started right up. Amazing! I love this car and if I ever reach a point where a replacement is needed, I'll be back to Ron Marhofer to buy one. Maybe that Genesis Sport.......

2009, Bought it from original owner. My wife hasn't been disappointed in this purchase. We really like the car and the flexibility it gives us. We would consider this model or other Hyundai vehicals in th future. She loves the heated cloth seats. This is the number 1 reason we bought this car.

I love my Santa Fe! It is a well built car, designed with quality, comfort, and reliability in mind. I have driven the car 140,000+ miles and I have only had to take it in to the dealer for regularly scheduled service. This car has been a joy to own and drive.
