2014 Hyundai Santa Fe

Previously I owned a 2010 Santa Fe and upgraded to the 2014. Although I like the few upgrades such as AWD and the back up camera, I liked my other car much better. The vibration of this car is terrible which is visible on the headrest of the rear seat. I really wish I kept my 2010 Santa Fe.

Over vehicle is very nice but driver seat is really uncomfortable 'cause lumbar is not helpful for my back, seat can't adjust to your comforting and headrest is lean too forward and can't adjusted back where I can feel comfort driving it.

2014 Santa Fe Ultmate

Like the features of the vehicle, but the front passenger seat height cannot be adjusted which is a definite problem and the ride on rougher surfaces is awful. The 19" rims and low profile tires are in my opinion the cause of the very poor ride. Switched from a Yukon to a Santa Fe was not all I hoped it would be!

Has the room, but not the storage

I refused to buy a mini-van and opted for this SUV. The vehicle itself runs great and has given us minimal problems. The ride is smooth and quiet while the outside design is sleek. The seats are comfortable and I love the driver's seat ability to move up and down. Storage however is hard to come by, especially when you have three kids making their way through the vehicle. It would have been much better of a design if they had found a way to incorporate more storage,

Just ok

The Santa Fe is mostly nice to drive. The rear end suspension is a bit harsh. Overall realiability has been a bit disappointing. The front seat recline switch has stopped working for the second time and it now needs to have work on the drive shaft. Very frustrating for a car with 20 thousand miles.

Review of 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe

I like the way my car looks and drives, but don't think I should have visited the service dept. for warranty issues so many times in the past 3 years. I have been in more times than I took my Nissan Pathfinder in the 15 years that I had it.

Think twice

Power steering failed at 3,200 miles. Dealership did not have the necessary part and could not get one from Hyundai for 3 weeks. The car was at the dealership for 25 days. I told them to get the part from one of the cars they had in the lot. They said they were all bad. I reported it to the NHTSA. After three years I needed to renew my BlueLink for $99, which I did. My next credit card had another bill from Hyundai for $198 for BlueLink services I did not want and did not order. The five-year warranty had several exclusions and only covered some parts (specifically, the radio) for 3 years. Whenever I go on a trip I print off Hyundai dealerships along my route from the internet in case I have more trouble. Other than that, everything is wonderful.

Other brands offer better value for the money.

Electronic power steering failed (dead as a mackerel) on our 2014 Santa Fe Limited at 3,200 miles. Replacement part was not available. I told dealer to take a part from on of the new Santa Fe vehicles they had in the lot. I was told they were all defective. (But they kept selling them.) I reported this to the NHTSA. The car was at the dealership 25 days waiting for the replacement part. Now whenever we go on a trip I print off all the Hyundai dealerships along our route in case we have more trouble. I don't trust the car. It looks like Hyundai blended their previous SUV with their minivan to make the current Santa Fe. The third row seat is unusable. Also, the Santa Fe price keeps going up with no comparable improvements. For the money, the Toyota Highlander or the Honda Pilot is a better choice.

My Sante Fe

We love our car as an SUV and all of the features and capabilities but have recently become concerned due to two major repairs that have been needed in last few months. This has made us question the reliability as far as traveling now, as it almost left us stranded twice during this time. The seats are also not very comfortable for long distance riding. With all of this said, we still enjoy our Hyundai very much and are optomisitc about our continued joy and experiences we get from this car.

Alot of little things.

Road noise, must have radio on. Tires out of round bad ride till tires warm up, Head lights poor, cannot see well at night, happy for fog lamps must use at all times. Only 19k on vehicle. Not my first choice to drive. Glad we have other vehicles.
