Great vehicle

Owned a similar vehicle which was priced $16k more - I cannot see a $16K difference. It rides beautifully, gets like 25 mpg, with 6 passengers. Service at Tarbox Hyundai is excellent. I would definitely buy this SUV again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I do not like where the back heat/ac is.

santa fe sport 2014 2.0L turbo

Love the power, style and cargo space. Interior and exterior design is stylish. Bumpy ride at low speeds on all surfaces, and seat quality is marginal, needed more padding. Seat feel flat. Steering is true but tight in all modes. Gas mileage and tank capacity could be better, averaging 16 to 18 mpg in the city and 24 to 26 on the highway, but will gladly sacrifice for the power of the 2.0 L turbo. Engine is great and smooth. Love this vehicle and will certainly look at the newest model in a year or two when I upgrade again.

Great vehicle (so far) and has been reliable

Bought the vehicle new with 4mi. on the odo and so far we have 34K reliable miles. The Santa Fe handles really well for an SUV/SAV, the brakes are more than capable to slow and stop the mass of the car, the engine is smooth and has good power, decent fuel economy, interior is well thought out and is very spacious. The only gripe I have is that the vehicle 's suspension is a tad bit on the softer side where it feels like it bottoms out when the vehicle is lightly loaded.

Excellent vehicle with a few flaws: Rear visibilty is less than adequate. Wind noise at driver's window is somewhat excessive. Minor vibration in dash.

Only one problem

When we first got the car we had a problem with the rear lift gate. It would open, but instead of staying open it would at times come back down. Took it in for service and initially they couldn't replicate the issue, but after several attempts we were able to get the problem to re-occur. Only issue we had with the repair was that I had made the appointment for day 1 and had to return the car to the service shop the next day for the repairs to be made. Frustrating!

Great Value!!

For the price this vehicle has a lot of features that only luxury cars have like Mercedes, BMW etc. From panoramic roof to ventilate seating, heating steering wheel is a plus, also interior and exterior design very nice and competitive in comparison with other SUV. My only concern is the suspension and stability, I owned a Sonata before and has the same problem and I think they can improve this in their future cars and I hope so, overall I'll recommend!!

2014 Santa Fe

Overall a great car. Blind spot detection system is not reliable and needs re-designed. It should not be able to get mud inbetween it and rhe bumper or car exterior wall. And it foes not have the best visual regard of surroundings, so it really needs the BSD system.
