The 2017 Santa Fe that I currently lease is my second. Like the first, it has the captain's chairs in the second row which are perfect for transporting clients in my business. They are roomy and comfortable, just like the front seating arrangement, with individual seat warmers, temperature controls, cup holders and places for books and magazines. The back cargo area has its own heating and cooling control as well, which is perfect for keeping groceries cool in the summer. If you put the third row down, the cargo area becomes huge, and if you put the second row seats down as well, you have as much room as a van for transporting all sorts of things - furniture, boxes, sports equipments, etc.
The car is easy to get in and out of, and one of its signature items is the panoramic moon roof which goes all the way back to the end of the automobile. What I really like best are the safety features. This car feels like a tank and really hugs the road. It's a 6-cylinder so I feel like the ride is smoother, and the power is there when I need it for maneuvering on the interstate. Even without AWD, the car handles well in the rain and snow. Side window alerts let you know when someone is coming around you or passing you, the back-up camera is a tremendous asset in parking and getting in and out of crazy parking lots. The car alerts you when someone is coming behind you, walking nearby, and in general, getting too close.
The interior of the car is actually quite nice and not cheap looking like a lot of other cars in the same price range. There is a faux wood finish which enhances the look of the dashboard and the side doors. I have the leather interior which holds up under wear and looks great.
This car can hold four adults and a few small children very easily, or a pack of pets, depending on your family structure. My mother who is getting up there in age likes the ride and finds it pleasant and fairly easy to get into.
Every time I think about getting another make of vehicle, I look at what I'm getting for the price and find it's not worth it to change. We'll see what happens when my lease is up - I can't imagine having more high tech than what this car already offers.
