Santa Fe review
I like the Santa Fe very much, with the exception of the map guidance function. Problems:
1. The human interface is not intuitive. It is hard to figure out how to make it work. The manual is difficult to follow also.
2. It is not accurate and stops its guidance sometimes before I reach the destination, and sometimes after I pass my destination.
3. It will not give me directions unless I put in a full, complete destination. Sometimes I want directions to another city, but am not looking for a specific address. If a street number is not included, it will not start giving directions.
4. The buttons on the key fob for controlling the locks and rear door extend above the body of the fob, and are depressed from time to time while in my pocket. This is very annoying and unsafe. The buttons should be depressed slightly below the level of the body so that accidental pressure in the pocket is against the body of the fob, not the buttons. This complaint has been echoed by several other customers that I have talked to, including one of the employees at the dealership. I have a Honda Accord and this problem has NEVER occurred with the Honda.
5, I like the cameras that help in parking and backing up, but the resolution is not as good as it could be. Oftentimes, it looks like I have parked well, but get out of the car and see that shadows, or something else, has caused the camera view to be confusing.
6. Changing the zoom factor and moving the map around on the screen is very awkward. It jumps to other places, and changes functionality for no apparent reason.
7. There are several other minor annoyances that I cannot remember right now.
