We've warmed up to each other
I bought based on price for some specific features, so I wasn't entirely sure I'd be happy with my purchase and already had a plan B in mind. I was surprised by some of the features I didn't even know the car had. This thing is packed full of creature comforts and safety features at just the premium package on the base model. It is literally not possible for me to lock my keys in the car. It's taken me a while to get used to the 3rd row access which seemed much smoother in the competitors' models I'd test driven, and I thought I'd compromised on 2nd and 3rd row leg room, but now that I've lived in it a while, I realize I haven't. The compromise was on fuel economy. It's not terrible, but coupled with a smallish tank, the range is disappointing. I am lacking in storage behind the 3rd row which is pretty typical for the vehicle class. (On the bright side, though, it fits in my garage!) I can get a smallish grocery load back there, but that's about it. The roof rails are flush which means they are 100% useless for anything other than installing cross rails which I have for an upcoming trip. The "cockpit" is great except the CD access is a little hidden and there are no audio presets for the "tone". The one thing my 2004 Cadillac SRX had that this car doesn't is presets for "rock", "classical", "talk", etc. that were customizable. Even just a talk radio override would be great because conversations aren't so clear with the bass turned up.
