Rats ate it all

Rats were so attracted to the car it infested the engine block and the console. So after 2 years that was it. Plus phone didn't like to co next consistently or remain connected. Not so good for no hands feature.

Car out of the blue dying while driving

It was the huge mistake in my life trading my car for a Hyundai. Actually it was the worst experience in my life. I have a car that dying constantly while I’m driving. The engine stops when I stop but it doesn’t back work again. I took my car to a dealership but they didn’t find the problem. I have this car for only six months and I’ll trade it for a trusted brand like Toyota or Honda.

Does a lot of things but not many of impressively them well

The low frequency rumble at low idling speeds makes me physically ill. Had a dealer look at it and they couldn't hear it and said everything was working the way it should. I came from driving Toyota for many years, and I'm afraid Hyundai just doesn't measure up.

Unhappy owner

The ride of the vehicle is less than smooth! There are many features that we do not like and some cannot be permanently shut off but have to shut them off everytime the vehicle is driven. Glichy electronics seem to always work just fine for the service department but not in actual use by the owners.

One Big Complaint

15,000 miles on this vehicle and it will not accelerate around a corner; that makes it a pain to drive (and I like to drive). The Sport mode is too sensitive to deceleration; otherwise it seems to be an OK SUV.

Manufacture problems

First problem I noticed that when I drive slowly ( 0 - 30 ) the car was Not stable almost shaking and when they checked it the computer didn't gave any sign of any problem, I changed my fuel as this might help but without any improvement. Then I start having problems with the blind spot system especially in the hot weather !!! which until now they couldn't fix it.

Santa Fe Jaw Rattling transmission

Hard shifts to 3rd gear, and I mean jaw rattling, take away any favorable impressions I would otherwise have. It's not fun to drive. It's unfortunate because the vehicle appears to be well though out in design and ergonomics.

Power steering

Power steering had to be replaced after 13000 miles. This was extremely unsatisfactory and makes us wonder if we have a purchased a "lemon". Service took over a week to repair the vehicle and this was aggravating.

Not happy

With the campaign 953 I found this car not reliable. I did not own this car for a year when I had issues with the electrical message area telling me to get to the dealer. That was October before I was leaving on a 2000 mile car trip. I was not prepared to buy another car in under a year and yet I did not trust this car. So after receiving the Campaign 953 letter I got rid of it and hope I did not make a mistake to buy the 2020 Santa Fe model.

Great car but interior fit and finish needs work

Great car but interior fit and finish needs work. Currently continuously experiencing creaking and rattling sounds from pano roof and rear driver side door area. Took vehicle to dealer for this problem multiple times but dealer is not able to fix problem and said this noise is expected in any hyundai car, really Hyundai? I own two other Hyundai products in house and both have never given me such quality issue. I ask that someone please contact me and put pressure on dealer to fix these issues.

This car Already stalled on me in a busy intersection and had to have a new starter.I had to have it towed and spent a week in a rental.The car brakes automatically when a car isn’t near a collision and has thrown me into the steering wheel

Nice car if you can deal with the noise

This is a sharp looking car that has all the bells and whistles. However, the panoramic sunroof is so noisy you can hear it over the radio. Hyundai completely ignored the concern and after filing a claim, providing a video and with comments from the dealer, the case was closed with no resolution. Mechanically it has been fine in the year I have owned it and it is a comfortable car. However, the quality leaves much to be desired.

Auto stop feature could not be fixed so car would not restart after braking on several scary occasions. car otherwise nice to drive. This auto stop feature was very scary as it led to cars behind me honking and trying to pass me at the stop signs and traffic lights.

Air does not work consistently

Everything about the vehicle is fine except for the air. Air Conditioning and Heat does not consistently work. And the problem is still not resolved. If my air was fixed I may have a different opinion. But having working air in your vehicle in Georgia during the Summer is a MUST.

The steering has already had to be replaced on the vehicle at 18,000 miles and we are now having problems with cruise control which sometimes works and sometimes does not. We are afraid we have purchased a lemon!

Bad on gas mileage. So disappointing. What else do you want me to say??

I like the truck but the gas mileage is horrible. Its nice and roomie but wish I would have shopped around more for a vehicle. I was so surprise because my last 3 cars were hyundai and the mileage was Awesome. So disappointing?????

Whistling Vehicle

Way too much noise cabin. It sounds as though I have all of my windows down. My SUV even whistles. I have taken this vehicle to be serviced for this same issue three times, but apparently, since I am the first person to complain my concern has been put on the way-side. I expect this issue resolved to my satisfaction or I expect another vehicle in place of the one that I have that is noise free. I paid too much money to ride in discomfort.

Good Car. bad stereo

I love the car and I waited to make sure people liked it. I have had Hyundai before and I have not really had any issues. But after this one, I am never getting another Hyundai again. I have been to the dealer to fix my speaker multiple times and still, it makes a noise. I will be getting rid of it as soon as I can. My car is my relaxing time.

Hard to get in and out of car. Drivers door will cut you when getting in and out of car. Front seat does not move back enough for a 6 foot driver..

If your 6 foot tall and don.t mind having your leg cut on door trim and don.t mind hitting your knee on the dashboard when getting in and out... and don.t mind the vehicle stalling out on you when you first start the car this vehicle is perfect for you!

If you want an underpowered SUV then this one is for you.

If you are looking for an underpowered SUV with poor fuel mileage and a cruise control that can not maintain speed into a head wind or going up a slight grade then this car is for you. Loved my 2017 Santa Fe, great power and fuel mileage. Do not like the 2017 for these main reasons.
