2020 Santa Fe is not up to quality of my 2009

The transmission is very jerky and not as solid as my older transmission. The car is larger and with a smaller engine. I am not impressed with the 4 cylinder. Some of the economy features are terrible, such as when you are at a stop and the engine goes to a lower idle, the air conditioner goes down also. When you start from the stop there is a lag and jerk before the car gets in gear.

New owner

I haven't owned the vehicle long enough to have enough experience to say wether it lives up to reasonable standards. So far I've learned how to operate or change so many functions. The engine stops running when you come to a stop and jerks forward when moving from a stop position.

2020 sante fe quality review

only has 450 miles can't judge many of the questions yet. difficult to get into the driver seat and i'm only 5'-8" tall. did not come equipped with home link to operate garage door.when virus is over I will be driving more and will be able to give a better review

Exceptional safety features for the money

The 2020 Santa Fe Limited 2.0 Turbo is loaded with nearly every safety feature, and for the money it offers more than the competition. Quality of construction of quite good. Ride is rough, like a truck. Road noise is quite high. Touch screen is less safe to use while driving than the toggle/dial I had in my 2017 Genesis G90

Bought this vehicle new, overall vehicle is great. some issues have occurred within the first month. Two separate visits and still bot rectified. Taking it to shop again so time will tell if the problem is fixed.

Nice car, poor seat material.

Bought the 2020 Sante Fe in Sept 2020. Noticed the front seatbacks were fraying and saw wear on the solid material. Dealer in Florida replaced the seatbacks at no charge. Problem started again in May and I was told to contact Hyundai consumer affairs. Pictures were taken at local dealership and sent to Consumer affairs. They said it was out fault and closed the complaint. very unhappy with the treatment we received.

Previous comments re: park assist should suffice. Getting warranty work scheduled and done is difficult and I was expected to deal with the after market company directly rather than the dealer handle it AS IT SHOULD BE DONE.

Already transmission issues.

I traded in my 2019 Hyundai because I had transmission issuers before the car was a year old. I received a recall letter the month after that there was a recall. Promised to fix and extend warranty. Since I travel extensively by myself I did not feel comfortable with that so I traded it in for a 2020 after checking that the 2020 didn’t have the same problem. Once again I have had a transmission issue and my Santa Fe is only 10 months old. Not happy.

Average at best

Cheaply made for a high price, 0 features sor SE and we were only given the highest option after the SE. For a 2020 car it should not have features from the early 2000's. 0 acceleration, revs to 5000rpm just to get to 30mph

engine noise when cold and taking off

This is a very good car except for the engine noise I brought it back to the dealer and he said all the cars do it. They said it was the fuel injector pump on top of the engine. I did not check other cars. They completed the wheel balance.

Nice car

Some things about it are different. It has a few kinks that don’t make the most sense but it’s very comfortable and rides nice. It is a stylish vehicle that is equipped with many different options to make it as comfortable inside as possible. SEL is a major upgrade from SE.

It's okay

The vehicle is okay. I would have a better opinion if I actually got the exterior and interior color Santa Fe I actually wanted. The one I have, I actually do not like very much. Mechanically it handles pretty well. There are some technology issues that Hyundai need to work on with the Bluetooth capabilities. Other then that, it's a pretty decent vehicle.

They have a great warranty

You definitely be able to find more stylish more luxurious SUVs out there. But this one is comfortable and stylish enough considering the warranty it comes with if you have any problems your mind can be at ease and you won't be able to pocket like you will with some of the others. there are some really nice safety features that come with this car and you can upgrade and get a very comfortable seat. They have a very nice panoramic sunroof and the functionality of the electronics and digital system is fairly easy. You may want to upgrade your tires and you may have some concerns with road noise if you've come from a higher end vehicle to this one as it's not as quiet as some of the others but overall this is a sound car that you will not be dissatisfied with and will have piece of mind knowing you have a good warranty.

Nice car, under powered

This car would be better served with a 6 cylinder engine. Mileage nothing special for a 4 cylinder vehicle. My 2012 Venza got better mileage. I like all the other features of this car with the exception of the ‘idle stop’ feature which my wife and I hate. The default position should be on and if I want the car to stop at red lights I should be able to set it

I could have been killed!

Your emergency braking did not work! I’m actually thinking about filing a lawsuit, I’m still experiencing chest pains! I don’t understand how something like this could’ve happened? Horrible experience

Good Car so far

My first Hyundai and all the recalls related to fire issues gives me lots of worry and hope new cars dont have those issues. It would've been nice if Hyundai covered 3 years of maintenance just like Toyota

Good vehicle

The build quality is best in the class, vehicle looks big and stands out it’s presence on road but it lacks a fun in the driving and comfortable seating. My son loves the sunroof. I have a 2020 2.4L engine Santa Fe model.

Underpowered

I do not like the fact that you can not permanently turn off the engine kill when the vehicle idling. I also do not have blue tooth on my phone so I can not get maps that is very annoying and it was not explained to me when I bought the car. I thought since I bought Sirius I could get maps but not so on a Hyuandi. Also my cell phone wireless charger had not worked since day one.

The vehicle is efficient with good safety features and a good gas mileage, my only concern is the sudden sharp pull mostly to right side while driving. My vehicle is not equipped with tire mobility kit, tire Jack is the only kit in my trunk.
