Works fine

Car is fine but has a lot of digital issues. Wireless CarPlay has a lot of problems and have had a lot of sensor issues. Issues with the collision detection as well. Overall the car is just fine. I can’t wait to trade it in though to be honest

Stripped down and without a minimum of safety, performance and driver assistance controls

I cannot imagine being less disappointed and dissatisfied with a vehicle. The seriously worst vehicle purchase decision we have ever made and has become an item of contention and disagreement in our lives

other vehicles come with much more features for the price of this vehicle and most importantly the customer service is worse than compared with my earlier vehicle company. Some features are not up to the mark.

My experience was poor

I was sold a demo for a brand new car and rushed through the purchase process. Also at signing, i noticed the price was much more than the ticketed price and was actually the price of the palisade that i originally wanted but was forced to take a different vehicle instead. The Santa Fe that I purchaded looked nice but came with a hoard of issues from front to rear. Non of them were taken seriously or fixed and I am stuck paying for a Palisade, but got a Santa Fe with a bunch of issues. I would not recommend trusting the purchase process if your instincts tell you otherwise. You will get sold hard to move vehicles if you are vulnerable and in desperate need of a NEW vehicle. I felt targeted as a Not good enough person for this vehicle, but paid for it anyway without getting what i originally wanted. I feel cheated and taken advantage of.

Cheaply made and inconvenient features

The interior styling was poorly planned. The phone charging “compartment” is unusable & there is nowhere to put a phone mount/holder. It’s difficult to manage radio/phone mode while driving. Fuel economy is terrible.

Seat material is terrible it wears poorly

The seat material is not designed to look good but maybe three months. The material stretches and discolors. There are little tiny holes in the material and everything get caught in the little holes and it’s hard to get it out.

Cheap quality - nice looking car

Car looks nice. Promises many features. Owned less than 1 year and wireless charger is broken, climate control broken, CarPlay rarely works. Overall you can tell they put effort into making this appear to be a higher end vehicle but they cheaped out on the parts and things break down. Also the dealerships for service are horrible, rude, and will only allow you to come in for help 2 months from when you call.

This new 2023 has been a challenge!

This was a less than pleasant experience from the moment I purchased the exact model that crapped out in the first days I had it. The dealer made it right after three weeks of frustration and fighting with them and especially Hyundai “customer” “service”. Not sure I would say those folks know anything about customers or service! This car has been ok but it hasn’t been a joyful experience that I am used to having with a new car. My 2007 Santa Fe with 312,000 miles gives me more enjoyment than this new one does.

Great brand new car until I get an important message from Hyundai that the car is unsafe with no fix currently available or even a timeline for a fix. So I had to trade in a brand new car for another brand. This after buying 4 Hyundais in the last 7 years

Poor quality

Transmission issues, quality issues, don’t have faith in the longevity of this vehicle. Too many issues occurring at low miles. If I were to do it again, I would never by a Hyundai, our Ford Explorer was way better quality vehicle.

Not What I Expected

Rear seats rattle and vibrate--worried that the problem will get worse. This happens under normal driving conditions. Very disappointed with this issue that my dealer said was normal because my 2017 Santa Fe did not have this ride quality issue. I am seriously considering switching my vehicle for another make and model.

Transmission failure at 12,000 miles is unacceptable.

Great vehicle initially, exterior and interior is well designed, ride is acceptable along with performance. However when a transmission fails at under 15,000 miles it makes you reluctant to stay committed to that brand.

Horrible noise

When a/c is on car has no power windshield chips easy paint chips easy clear cost horrible center console wrinkled no reverse noise backing up can’t tell if close to something just a bad suv all together

Transmission Issue

The vehicle would be a great vehicle, however, I every 2 months I receive a transmission error. The dealer only says your transmission is low, but they don't see any leaks. Why is the transmission low every 2 months on a brand new vehicle!

Basic performance

Not excitement after purchasing, best options from other competitors. Car is very basic with controls not easy, requires multitasking to performance simple controls like release parking break. AC flow and commands not comfortable for front and back seats, wife and kid complains.

Charged 7,000 over sticker for average vehicle

Vehicle was in the shop within months having gas door replaced. Display screen is below average. The driver operator buttons are inconvenient. I was Charged extra 7,000 because of Covid. The sticker was taken off the window once I saw it, and when we sat down to discuss price, there was a 7,000 “market cost adjustment” attached.

Many issues within a year

Since I bought this vehicle a year ago I have had a broken horn where they had to replace it, sunroof drainage leaking into passenger side floor and soaking it and now I need a new transmission after 1 year, 7200 miles.

It’s transportation

Wouldn’t recommend this car or any in the Hyundai fleet. Bought 2 Hyunda’s the same day and have regretted it since. Both have had mechanical issues that the dealerships have not identified solutions for. Service centers are understaffed and they overbook. Plan a whole day when you take your car.. plan several hours for basic oil and lubrication

NOT PLEASED!!! For the money that I paid, I feel I should have gotten a vehicle that was without a recall, shortly after purchased. The dealership was very honest with me, but I feel that corporate Hyundai, who is not.

Disappointed

There are too many safety issues with this vehicle. Performance is also subpar. There needs to also be more legroom in this vehicle. I have to move the passenger seat up too far to allow my child enough legroom in the back while in a boaster seat.
