stay away from santa fe

my car went into service 6 days after purchasing it. they were not able to fix it and it has sat in service for 3 months. this car has issues and Hyundai wont acknowledge it. my car is actually approved for repurchase under the lemon law. it only had 511 miles on it. complete garbage

Honeymoon period is over

If I wrote this during the 1st week of owning the Santa Fe is would be so much better. Having the car belittle me and telling me I am a bad driver is infuriating. you try to even have a lane to drive in with 1 foot of snow on the road and cars not fully parked, but the car will tell me over and over again again to "consider taking a break". Makes me want to scream.

Some ups and downs

The car is great, but I’ve been without my car for 2 weeks due to the door opening by itself. Interior damage on door. I would live to have a new car if this isn’t fixable on this car.

At first we loved the car until wheather started to get cold there is no heat in second or third row kids are always cold while your blasting the heat and ur way to hot while your kids are freezing

i wanted to trade in my 21 santa fe..this is my 4h hyundai. The dealership had hundreds of 25 and 26 vehicles so i figured i would get a good deal and my trade in was in EXCELLENT condition. they did not have the color i wanted,, i SETTLED for different color

No time to read car manual

The radio never stays on the same channel I was listening to when I shut off the car. Sometimes I get in the car after a stop at the store, and the air is blowing - not sure why. It's easy for me to hit a curb when I pull out of a side street, because I can't tell where the curb is. I think it's because the car is tall, and I can't see the pavement. Blue Link keeps telling me my car is unlocked. I'm in the house with the key, so isn't the car supposed to lock? I don't want to complain, but you did ask. I plan to keep this car forever, so I have plenty of time to read the manual - some day!

Technology dies not always work as expected

Car handles well and has many belts and whistles but it keeps dropping the apple play and other connections and require resetting often. It also needs a bit more visibility as often difficult to see other traffic when turning

Wonderful vehicle except for the atrocious city gas mileage.

I love everything about my 2026 Santa Fe Calligraphy except for the absolutely atrocious city gas mileage. I decide not to go with the hybrid due to the reduced power and the advertised and what I thought still reasonable 20 MPG in the city of the traditional 4 cylinder gas engine. The Jeep Cherokee this replaced was a 8 cylinder Hemi beast that got only got 13 MPG. When I saw this Santa Fe was rated for 20 MPG in the city I was super happy. It's unbelievable but I am only getting 12-13 MPG with my new Santa Fe driving around the city. I rarely need to use the freeway so my driving is 90% stop and go city traffic. I ditched my Jeep because I felt bad with it getting such terrible gas milage and here I am now with a brand new car that gets exactly the same MPG or worse and has half the power and capability. If I could go back I would definitely go a different direction with my vehicle choice. Since I can't go back I can at least say everything else is wonderful, much more luxury that my jeep, and great styling except for the rear hatch. I both the extended warranty so if it lasts me the full 10 years without serious issues I think I will end up being happy with it overall.

Overall the vehicle is fine.

I like certain things roomy, inside spacious and the screen is nice. The sensors are an issue. I also don’t like that the maintenance shop has appointments that you have to wait weeks to get.
