Second transmission 160k miles

Well, the first transmission went out at 95k miles. The second at 160k. Had the fluid on the first one serviced at the regular interval. Being paranoid had the fluid serviced at half the mileage Hyundai recommended on the 2nd transmission. Other than that no real complaints. Except one other time all the lights on the dashboard lit up, it started beeping and told me to pull over. The vehicle wouldn't go after that. It was some switch that needed to be replaced. I guess this happens every so many miles. Would be nice if there was a loud audible alarm instead of the vehicle. I would have given the vehicle 1 star. However, Hyundai picked up the cost of both transmissions. I am thankful for that. However, this makes me think that they know they have a problem with the transmissions.

Great vehicle!

The Sonata Hybrid Limited is a terrific vehicle. It runs extremely quiet and is great on mpg. We were fortunate enough to buy this new 2013 car in early 2015 so we felt the price was very reasonable. Since my wife (this vehicle is for her) only drives 3 miles to work the hybrid features really weren't so important to us, however, they are nice.

Great Car Overall!

The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid has all the features a BMW would have. I love the ride and comfort- both for long & short distance riding. Overall the features are great, with a couple of exceptions which I hope they will change in the future. I would like to have a more quiet ride & by that I mean less outside noise. The car rides very smoothly though. The other feature I would like to see is passenger side seat controls. The passenger seat sits too low and there is no way to adjust it. I would pay for that as an option if I had too. Otherwise we are very happy with our purchase although those two items prevented me from buying a third Hyundai.

Hyundai Sonata 2013 - written in 2016

Nice, smooth-riding car. Gas mileage range is from 20-40 mpg = unimpressive for a hybrid. The battery may wear down at a later date, so buying a hybrid for such lackluster gas mileage is risky. Overall a very beautiful car, but performance is just OK. Supposedly reliable - we'll see after a few years!
