Good gas mileage

It is a sharp looking car. The transmission is a little rougb, particularly when cold. The cruise control is a little glunky. After setting if you get near the on/off it turns off. If you press cancel, the next time you may have to jiggle the cancel to set the cruise.

Like My Hyundai

I like the fact that my Hyundai, as a hybrid, helps me be more environmentally conscientious. The car is comfortable to drive and my passengers say they enjoy the ride. The car has a clean and stylish appearance.

2014 Sonta

The 2014 is a good car but starting with 2015 the trunk has more room, that would be the only reason to have purchased the 2015. The performance is strong. No real issues. The Sun roof is nice during our winter months.

Love it!

I love my car! This car is so stylish. I think the gas mileage could be a little better being a hybrid. I wish that these came a with spare tire and not a kit. The interior has all the features you could want. Overall a great car.

LOVING IT!

I bought this beauty with about 26,000 miles. It now has about 33000 miles and I've been driving it for approximately 10 months without any issues. If the trunk space was bigger it would've been just perfect.....but will deal with it.

MPG not as claimed. Comfortabnle ride and luxary

I have this 2014 Sonata hybrid now for 4 years and 3 months. I live in Wisconsin. Ride, handling are very good. During winter MPG is very less around 26 MPG. Summer time is @ 34. I was expecting better MPG in winter then my old 2007 Sonata.

Better Than Average Hybrid

Overall satisfied with the comfort and performance of the auto and I would consider another one (maybe). I don't think it handles well in snow, but is exceptional on wet pavement.(This just might have to do with the tires that came with the car). The headlights do not light up the road enough and I find myself needing the high beams way too often. The fog lights are almost useless because they aim down too much and dealer says they can't be adjusted. The dashboard sends out a signal that interferes with the GPS on iphones using apps such as waze and google maps. It took me 10 months to finally figure it was the car and not the app or iphone. Dealer confirmed that nothing could be done. I hope they fix this in subsequent years. Styling of the car is exceptional and looks great. I would also like to see a tachometer on the dash instead of the useless Eco meter. Having lighted fuel door and trunk release buttons would also be a plus.

Transmission failed in 4years

No complaints except transmission failed in 4 years . I'm glad it was covered by warranty . Transmission failed when I was driving on highway and I had service two weeks before. I feel like I cannot trust my car and I will have to check complete during all the service.

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

I am extremely pleased with the Hybrid. I don't think I'll drive anything different in the future. Driver's seat very comfortable, but the passenger seat is too low and not extremely comfortable for a long ride. Navigation system is wonderful.

Love the car but poorly crafted

Fit and finish needs improvement but no complaints about the engine and how the vehicle runs. Wish there were vents and USB charging ports in the backseat. Seats don't fold down in the back and trunk space is limited. Sunroof rattles a lot even after multiple services. Ride is smooth. Turns good. Driver side window auto switch fails but still works holding it. Speakers are infinity but went out twice. Subwoofer doesn't improve sound compared to a set of quality speakers. Heated seats are nice but wish they had them in back and heated steering wheel. This year doesn't have park assist or lane change warning indicators but the back up can is nice.

2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid 100k miles

Original owner of 2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Now close to 100k miles and zero mechanical issues. I am VERY pleased with this car for its reliability (never been stranded), durability & overall ride comfort. Note it is hybrid so not the fastest in the world but it maintains great gas mileage (to be expected). Few electrical issues has been noticed: auto sunroof no longer operates with ease i.e. it used to open & fully close with push of a button but that feature no longer works, It now needs you to push & remain pushed until sunroof reaches desire state. GPS on screen keys have erratic responses. Pushing "A" activates other keys not desired. I have also noticed the car looses Alignment quicker than anticipated. Granted this could be poor road condition coupled with driving habits but something worth noting. All in all, if those are the only issues after close to 100k miles than I am a happy camper & a lifelong Hyundai Hybrid fan & customer. I fully expect my next car will also be another Hyundai with its outstanding track record.

Sonata hybrid

The only problem I have with this vehicle is the primary battery has died on me twice leaving me stranded on the side of the toad and in need of a tow to get back to the dealer for replacement. There is no warning regarding battery life being weak one day it’s fine the next it just stops??? This needs to be addressed and a solution needs to be implemented. The last battery put in by the dealer lasted less than 2 years. This seems like a very short battery life for something which cost over $300? My car has always been serviced at Rosen and they never indicate the battery is becoming weak, so how do I avoid getting stranded on the side of the road in the future?

Reliable and very practical

This car has been a great daily commuter. Super-reliable and gets fantastic gas mileage (36-38mpg consistently). While quick and nimble, it is a bit sluggish when weighted down (e.g., with 4 adults on board). Comfortable and quiet ride. Climate control system is irritating, but works. Navigation system is terrible. Hyundai really stands behind their industry-leading 100,000 mile warranty and this has probably been the least expensive car I've ever owned as far as maintenance is concerned.

My Sonata

I enjoy the size of the car and how it handles. I have been disturbed with the dealer service when the service manager was not helpful prior to the one that dealt with me last week. I feel the issue with radio interference should be corrected at no charge to me because it has been there ever since I purchased the car.

Clearance

The main problem I have is the front of the car is so low it does not clear many of the curbs. I've also had a problem with the gas lid. The inside control does not work and caused problems before the warranty was over. I open it manually and get along.

Passes gas-stations with confidence!

We love our Sonata Hybrid. Only one small issue. Consumers need an alert to NOT cover battery vents! Car became disabled on busy road! An option to activate the gas engine would be helpful when the hybrid is disabled in an emergency situation.
