great Hybrid

We love our 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It has performed exceedingly well for the last year and a half. In that time we have put 27,600 miles on this car. On trips with cruise control the car gets 41-43 mpg. around the city mpg is approximately 37-38. For a large car with all the bells and whistles we are very happy. It does all we hoped it would do.

Great car!

This car rocks for the price! If you’re looking for all the bells and whistles, but don’t want to pay for the names of all the luxury brands, the ‘16 Sonata Hybrid Limited Edition is for you. That being said, just don’t lease from Hyundai. They’re the worst to work with. Hyundai’s leasing company is nice to talk to, but they can never get anything done, besides take your payment. If you happen to move, odds are you will be late registering your car, because they didn’t take action on your written request for paperwork... or the DMV/BMV’s requests either... It’s not the cars fault though. If you like it, just buy it. Don’t lease it.

Sonata hybrid

Nice vehicle , only wish it was alittle higher from ground OR the seat would rise higher. I’m 5’9” but have some difficulty getting in & out of vehicle. My husband is 6’ & also experiences difficulty. We’re in our late 60’s. Also wish I had purchased a little higher upgrade like heated sets, elec seats, etc

My Hybrid

My Sonata Hybrid performs well on the road. Takes turns seamlessly, starts every time in all weather (Chicago). Only complaint is sound system can go flacky. When I take car in it's fine, but in cold wet weather sounds like speakers are under water, then just a quickly as it started it stops.

2016 Sonata hybrid

Overall a very nice vehicle. Currently have 18550 miles on it. The car is very roomy and comfortable inside. Styling is beautiful inside and out. Great fuel mileage for a large hybrid. Only drawbacks are interior road noise is higher than I expected from a new car and don't really care for the Blue Link system, would prefer normal remote start and GPS.

2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited

Great looking car much styling to Mercedes. Very roomy and comfortable. Drives wonderfully. Power enough to have to watch speed even though a hybrid. An issue with moonroof recall that took 3 times to fix and now hybrid engine light which concerns us after only 34K miles.

good but not what is in brochure

the sales gut was great and the vehicle drives great especially for what I need, I drive it maybe once a week sometimes more depended on sometime I take Trips and it drives great just doesn't get the miles per gallon

Good Car For the $

Purchased first week in 2017 as a 16 leftover. Car consistently gets around 39mpg driving 70mph+ on I95. Decent acceleration for a hybrid. Traded in an 08 Accord, this car doesn’t brake or handle as well, may be the tires. Overall a good value with the warranty and rebates offered at the time I bought.

so far so good cept for cruise control. Ive never written characters in my life. I wont be buying a hyundai again just because of the cruise control problem and how it compares to other cars i have driven.

This is a great hybrid vehicle, we have saved hundreds of dollars in gas since we bought it in 2016. The driving experience is great. It is also very spacious inside and in the trunk. We highly recommend this hybrid vehicle.

So Many Great Features, BUT One Major Design Flaw

I've never driven a car that's so comfortable and easy to drive. Love saving money with the hybrid! BUT there is a design flaw that needs to be fixed by Hyundai. Right now, the air conditioning compressor hose gets clogged easily, and water drips into the foot well on both sides of the front. This will require me to take the car for servicing every four to six weeks. I'm concerned that the standing water will eventually lead to rust and failure of the floorboard. Don't understand why, after putting so much thought into every feature, Hyundai let this flaw slip through and doesn't seem willing to fix it permanently.

Solid, very good quality car, excellent fuel economy

The 2016 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is a solid car. It gets good fuel economy and offers high quality backed up by excellent warranty. Its downsides are related to its performance. When accelerating the reaction is delayed and when the power finally kicks in tends to be over accelerated.

Incredibly great vehicle

This is the *second* Hyundai Sonata Hybrid vehicle I've bought from the same dealer. It is a great car that rides very well. The panoramic sunroof is just awesome and the gas mileage is between 37-45 highway and in the mid-30s around the city. Comfortable and plenty of room.

Excellent Car!

We purchased our first Sonata in 1989 and, with exception of 2 vans along the way, have purchased them for our family car every since. Our original draw to the Hyundai was the passenger room in the back seats, the mileage, and the price. The 2016 is very comfortable and is great for long family trips. It handles well and there is plenty of trunk room.

My Sonata Hybrid

Good car no problems. My three concerns about this vehicle The seats are very hard and could be improved for comfort. When the passenger window is open all the way the seat belt rattles and flips around. The cabin could overall be more quite. Other than that all good.

Smooth running and beautiful car

I am quite satisfied with almost everything about my Hyundai Sonata hybrid automobile, but there are two things I would like to see them improve. I would like the cruise control to engage with only one push of one button rather than the truth that I must know press to engage the cruise control. I would like one of the 12 V output ports to be alive all the time so that I could go to a movie or restaurant and have my iPad or phone charging during my stay away from the car. I realize that Hyundai is concerned that I might run down my battery if I forgot to disconnect the iPad or phone being charged, but that is very unlikely to happen. The voltage strain on the Hyundai battery would be miniscule. These two criticisms do not take away from my overall satisfaction with the Sonata. I hope Hyundai will continue building hybrids into their new model cars.

This vehicle is great, comfortable, smooth, reliable. and give my good gas mileage. Everybody who see the car told me it has a Beautiful design. my car has 52,000 miles at the moment I did not have a problem with this car. I hope it lasts a lot.

Having had two major faults in Severn days I am beginning to doubt my choice of a sonata hybrid Egine stopped on the high said it was a brake problem Engine shutoff was diagnosed as air in the abs system I don't understand how air could get in a closed system
