Smooth running and beautiful car

I am quite satisfied with almost everything about my Hyundai Sonata hybrid automobile, but there are two things I would like to see them improve. I would like the cruise control to engage with only one push of one button rather than the truth that I must know press to engage the cruise control. I would like one of the 12 V output ports to be alive all the time so that I could go to a movie or restaurant and have my iPad or phone charging during my stay away from the car. I realize that Hyundai is concerned that I might run down my battery if I forgot to disconnect the iPad or phone being charged, but that is very unlikely to happen. The voltage strain on the Hyundai battery would be miniscule. These two criticisms do not take away from my overall satisfaction with the Sonata. I hope Hyundai will continue building hybrids into their new model cars.

My Hybrid

This vehicle is great, comfortable, smooth, reliable. and give my good gas mileage. Everybody who see the car told me it has a Beautiful design. my car has 52,000 miles at the moment I did not have a problem with this car. I hope it lasts a lot.

Sonata hybrid

Having had two major faults in Severn days I am beginning to doubt my choice of a sonata hybrid Egine stopped on the high said it was a brake problem Engine shutoff was diagnosed as air in the abs system I don't understand how air could get in a closed system

This vehicle is performing as I had hoped it would. I am very pleased with the fuel economy I am enjoying. I have only two concerns with this vehicle and I am hoping Hyundai will consider addressing them in the future.

hyundai sonata ltd 2016

good running car but should have had fog lights for safety reasons. person who did not want company to include fog lamps on usa models should be fired. cars sent to mexico had them at no added charge. lousy tires on the car. had to spend 700 to put Michelin's on the car.

Hybrid

It is a good vehicle for my needs. I commute and the mileage is very important to me. I have had one episode where a module failed and left me high and dry but, I work with four other people who have these vehicles and all of them have had the same problem . I find it ironic that they would all have the same type of problem without a recall being conducted. I was taken care of by the maintenance person I contacted. He was good to me but that doesn't solve the problem at hand.

A/C compressor

I purchase this vehicle brand new and my compressor burnt for it is a Hybrid component but not honored by the warranty. This out of pocket expense is a $2000.00 repair. I will not buy an other Hyundai for this reason.

Needs

I need a vehicle that gives good gas mileage and comfort. My mother is 94 and is in poor health in assisted living 12 hours away. The sonata hybrid gave me 39 mph. Driving from my house to mom, with the comfort of home including pandora radio stations. Sunroof to see the sky, cruise control and land correction warning.

An unusual vehicle

This sedan is a top of the line Sonata Hybrid Plug-in. It is equipped with many features found on more expensive automobiles. It is relatively quiet, has an electric only range of about 25 miles. In city driving, if I go less than 25 miles, my overall mpg is near 100 mpg! However, for a vehicle costing $40,000, there are a number of irritating problems: The gas cap must be put on correctly after filling as the fuel system of this car is pressurized. An engine warning light comes on, but of course, there is no indication of what has gone wrong. This has happened several times over the past two years. The vehicle has a great warranty, but there is no bumper to bumper warranty, so expect to pay $60 to $80 for scheduled inspection and oil change. Driving this vehicle, it never feels solid and steady. I am constantly adjusting with steering input to keep the vehicle straight on course. This apparently is just inherent with the tires and suspension. Too bad, as my previous sedan (VW Passat) was rock solid and a pleasure to drive.

Great Car

Comfortable, quiet ride. Great trunk space and back seat leg room! This car rides very smooth. Front bumper is a little low and scrapes on curbs. Gas mileage is a litrle less than average MPG. Overall very happy with tjis car!

Cruise Control

We've enjoyed the comfort and economy of this well-equipped automobile. Except for the cruise control (which is an absolute disaster) and the sun visors (which aren't designed to stay where placed) the car is super.

Great fuel economy

Car has great fuel economy. The front seats could be more plush and supportive. It requires oil changes every 3k miles (instead of every 7k miles). Bluelink has been less than useful for navigation and having diagnostic data.

Nothings perfect

This car is one of my favorites. It rides well, handles very good for a sedan. I 55k trouble free mikes, so far. The MPG is not what it’s quoted as, but it’s still quite acceptable, and is an extremely good value

I am very happy with my car. There are only a couple minor issues I would like to see addressed, Driver seat could be a bit wider for greater comfort and I would like the My Hyundai app to be ab;e to adjust the climate control system.

water pump problems

HEV warning light. Changed primary water pump. Still had the light. New software installed. Still had the light. New secondary water pump. Two weeks to get the part. Have my fingers crossed. Good news is that Hyundai stood behind their product---so far.

So far, so good

This vehicle is equipped with all the features I enjoy. To date-63,000 miles, it has been reliable. There has been 2 warranty repairs, which were handled right the first time, without interrupting my work schedule. The dealer service is the big Key here.

Would buy again!

More comfortable than my previous hybrid, being 6 ft and 250, I needed more room. Over 60,000 and still like driving the car. Price was right over competition, though would have liked the 2 year service coverage by competitor.

Good car

the car gets great gas mileage.the ride is not as quiet as the VW we had but still have driven it for fourteen hour with out a back ache.The spare tire (and there ain't one )is a concern. We would buy it again.

Certified pre-owned Sonata is a fantastic car

Our 2016 Sonata is a fantastic car. But the dealership we bought from told us lies and did not properly inspect the car before delivery. Our first maintenance experience at a local dealer wasn't so good either. Fantastic car but very disappointing dealership experienced.

Car is 9/10 of the way to being great

The Hyundai Sonata plug in is so close to being a really good car. It just seems like Hyundai gave up after 9/10 and left some easy things off that would have been fantastic. Unable to tell if it is just because it is the plug in or all sonatas.
