Constant problems with seat and mirror memory and MPG is correct

Car is nice and drives OK. (1) Does not get the stated 50 mpg. I average between high 30's and low 40's (41 / 42 mpg) (2) The heads up display (on my car) is slightly off center for a short person (like me - husband thinks fine). The memory seats and mirrors are not controlled by key fob but by infortainement center which is constantly losing it memory and must be reset each time. Also you must turn car on to select which user is driving and if seat memory has been lost your are either too far way (too short) to reach the power button or too close (if tall) and so you have difficulties getting into car.

No Forward Parking Assist

Do Not buy SEL WASTE OF MONEY. 2025 Sonata is smaller than original Sonata 2020. Cup holders in doors are tiny and won’t hold water bottles or coffee containers.

The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited Edition. Is a excellent choice

Vehicle Review: well I didn’t get much help about the Vehicle that I bought from the Sales-Man ( hurry and sigh here ) I paid for a Limited Edition, and I don’t know if I got a Genuine Limited Edition. There’s no Emblem of Limited Edition on the Rear of the car.

Good but not Great

The driver assists offered by Hyundai are significantly lacking versus Toyotas. The system is supposed to keep the car centered in the lane you’re in but is constantly turning on and off - especially when you’re on a highway where the Lane you are in is slowly turning to the right or left - the system just suddenly turns off. - sometimes it just turns off at the most unexpected times. I’m not sure why Hyundai offered such a poor system.

cheap materials noises inside after 2500miles inadequate transmission

problems with carplay, sometimes its not working for no reason. wireless charger place for phone is too open for sunbeams its dangerous. no function trip a, trip b, only the whole mileage. inadequate transmission behaviour after 2,500 miles. noises after 2000-2,500 miles. The automatic door opening isn't working when I have the keys on me unless I open it with five fingers. It's incredibly annoying.

Problems from the Start

- Inside lights don’t turn on when the doors are opened. Dangerous for women alone at night. - Rattling noise since new and it’s driving me nuts!!! - Dealer failed to update Navigation system before - didn’t do the prep! - I picked up car. Now it’s not accurate. Also failed to update another system. - Can’t figure out how to remote start from the key fob. Need it! - MPG is LOW! I paid a lot of money for hybrid expecting the gas mileage they specify and I’m getting FAR LESS.

Horrible memory seat and mirror feature

for the most part this vehicle drives good but the memory seat and mirror feature (reason I bought car) is horrible. The car remote should be the thing that controls what seat position to move to but you must manually do it. Problem is those buttons don't always work and it is difficult to get to and change. Many screens to get where you need to to change it.

The car often struggles to accelerate and the RPM suddenly spikes, but it offers excellent comfort and quietness.

The creaks keep it from being great

Overall truly a solid car. My only two issues the transmission needs to be regeared for better highway mileage. Not a huge difference in mpg from the standard motor to the hybrid. The second issue is every part of the car creaks with no reasons. Fixing one creak just starts another. For the price point average but if the two issues were fixed this would be an amazing car for the money.

Quality isn’t not the dame

I had a 2022 Sonata limited and upgraded to a 2025. I wanted so much to love this vehicle but it has spent more time in the shop than it has in the road. I can’t blame it for dealers issues, lesson learned. But this car has sand in the paint that Hyundai refuses to fix. The trim was wrinkled and had to be repaired. The wireless car play quit working. And the black plastic trim that looks cute is not durable. It shows scratches that came from the factory and I was told would not be fixed. The car itself is cute. And the warranty is great. But if the product quality is not good the value is not there. I love the Sonata and I hope they start moving in the right direction again.

Not Impressed

The Sonata rides smooth and is comfortable. I have not driven it enough to comment on the hybrid feature. I do not like the interior cabin displays. i drive with a split screen of maps and radio. The background on the map display is black which makes it nearly impossible to see streets. There is no way to change the background in the split screen feature. Not having this made me realize how much I used it. Now the map feature is useless. I do not like that the songs are not named in the Sirius radio display. They were identified on my 2020 Sonata. Also the ads were identified on the 2020 Sonata, not so on the 2025. I prefer to mute the ads. Also the warning of vehicles in your blind spot is red in the HUD on the 2025 vehicle which is rather easy to ignore or not see. They were orange in the HUD on the 2020 Sonata and more “in your face,” I do not like the gear shift on the steering column. I was told the move was made to free up more room in the console area. Now there is a padded area where the gear shift had been and the console box has been pushed back toward the rear seats. I utilized the top of the console box to rest my elbow on long trips in the past. Now the console is too far back to do so and the “freed” up space is a useless, wasted area. Also, the 2025 Sonata does not have HomeLink which is another annoying feature. Meaning I have to have a garage door remote in the car. The 2020 Sonata is equipped with HomeLink. The car has decent pep and is nice to drive. However, the design of the interior cabin features is annoying.

More plastic than metal

I found the interior to be a dust magnet. I keep the car closed up and it doesn't help. There is a lot of plastic both on the inside and outside , cheaply made. Don't think I'm going to purchase another one. Time to find another manufacturer.

Better than expected

The hybrid car has some nice features. However, it does not have any pickup ahen I need it and it seems to change gears on its own. The changing gears makes it seem like the engine stalls from time to time. Also, when car first starts, it initially uses the battery and I love it. But, after 40 seconds, the engine starts and it is a bit loud. Also, the humming when using the electric can be a bit bothersome, especially if having to leave at night whem folks are normally sleep.

Lack of build quality but good value overall

The car would easily be a 4-5 star based on features, comfort, and fuel efficiency if it weren't for the build quality holding it back. My vehicle has its front doors rattling with music played on the premium sound system while driving on the freeway which should not be the case for a 39k car.
