A couple of things lacking

I am overall very pleased with my new 2025 Sonata Limited Hybrid. This is the 3rd one I have owned. I the first one saved (2014 model year) my life when I had a car accident. My favorite was the 2022 for performance and sophisticated body design and color (stormy sea blue). Unfortunately I put a lot of miles on it in a short period of time. My 2025 hybrid is a beautiful car inside (gray), sleak and stylish, but I liked the exterior of the 2022 better. The 2025 is looking like all the other sedans on the road. I also like blue cars and the transmission blue and carbon blue are not great options. I ended up with the carbon blue, but it mostly looks black. There are so many white, black, and gray cars on the road, it's hard to find your car in a crowded parking lot. Toyota has some nice blues. The other thing that was disturbing was there was no way to pair my garage door opener using the inside rear view mirror. Both my 2014 and 2022 Sonatas had that feature and I do miss it. Performance wise, I love this car! I'm getting great gas mileage! I had originally wanted a Sonata Limited Hybrid when I purchased my 2022, but selection was poor and there was upwards to $10,000 premium on the hybrids, post covid.

Most things are great.

I’m thrilled that most of the features work as intended. I feel the catnip’s a good or possibly a great value for the dollars spent. HOWEVER, I was forced to pay extra for options that I did not want. I hate locking lug nuts, but had to pay for them. I had to pay $245 for carpet Sonora floor mats. For $245, I want weather tech. The interior light converter console is lacking. The lane assistance doesn’t work for older roads with less than new paint. The auto break feature for frontal collisions also doesn’t work as well as I would hope.

Designers apparently don't drive the car!!!!

Console is unreadable in sunny weather! Too much glare inside car near front window! Locking door from outside is almost impossible in the dark because the button is not discernable! I own a 2017 Azera and I am baffled as to why the outside mirror controls are different. Why is the air conditioner and heating system different than the Azera? You cant regulate the system without looking at the console and not the road! I have already expressed my opinions on previous reviews and never heard back.

Great styling, tech and fuel economy, but no fun to drive.

After my 2021 Sonata Limited was totaled in a wreck I decided to upgrade to a 2025 and opt for the hybrid because of how much I drive. Almost 3,000 miles in and I am averaging 43 mpg in a lot of rush hour traffic. That’s great! The car looks great and has all the amenities you could want including heated/ventilated front seats, panoramic roof, heads up display and a beautiful infotainment display that is (mostly) easy to navigate. The proximity alarms telling you how close you are to things are a little intrusive and can’t be adjusted as far as I can tell. The worst part about this car is how it drives. I knew it wasn’t going to be a burner off the line when I bought it (something I was willing to sacrifice for great gas mileage), but I didn’t expect it to handle so poorly going around corners or the transmission to struggle going between electric and gas motors. It handles fine in straight line, but the suspension is so soft going around bends on Route 6 from Portland to Tillamook Oregon was actually scary. I thought I was getting an upgraded version of my 2021 Sonata, which I loved, and in a lot ways I did. I’m am just really disappointed with the handling. I’m not looking for G70 levels of fun, but my 2021 was more fun to drive than this.

Generally the car is great. The manuals leave a lot to be desired, no spare tire and NO backseat foot space also no connection for a garage door opener

Stylish comfort & performance

The Sonata HEV is an extremely comfortable vehicle for my commute and for long trips. I love the gas mileage, the pop up display and the app. The vehicle is comfy, techy, and looks great.

Some issues

Great car great features but from day I bought vehicle washer fluid does not work and when you put.more in it leaks out. Told dealership about 3 weeks ago they said they would get me a loaner vehiclebut haver never come thru and today cruise control stopped working

Major upgrade to my long daily commute!

I purchased my 2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to replace a 13 year old Nissan Altima that had served me well, but ultimately lacked many of the convenience features in more modern vehicles. Among the limited options in medium-sized sedans that still remain on the market, the Sonata impressed me most with it's smooth, comfortable ride/suspension, high-tech convenience features and an unbeatable maintenance/warranty program.

2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

I love this car and especially the rear view camera and gas mileage. What a significant change from my previous vehicle, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata SEL. I've had the 2025 Sonata Hybrid since late August 2025 and it is now early November. I am still finding new features or getting used to new ones and sincerely miss a few that were in the 2012 Sonata SEL and are not in the 2025. I would recommend it.

151 Miles

Before I even had the new vehicle, it had 151 miles already. 2. Someone ate in the car while driving to the dealership. 3. In 52 years when I first drove a car, I never had ants. Yes, I said ants and the new Sonata Hybrid Limited has Ants!!!!!!! Inside-outside of the car. I reported my concern regarding Ants to the Hyundai dealership in Myrtle Beach the first week.

almost luxry

Hyundai as stepped up in a big way, the interior feels thought out and makes for a comfortable ride. The power leaves a little more to be desired, especially going up into the mountains but around town this thing SIPS gas. I drive more than the average person putting on 7k miles in the first month of ownership and have yet to have an issue with this car!

Issues with first 400 miles, No problems after warranty service

The vehicle itself is fine, but my vehicle had issues with defective controllers that drained the battery, leaving me locked out of my vehicle at points. I will also say that working with Customer Affairs was largely uncoordinated but communicated reliably. Specifically, I could be assured that CA would reach out, or would provide their followup dates and times, which are great, but the information I was passed along from customer representatives to case managers to supervisor, some things were promised initially that were not explicitly stated in the policy, which was never passed to me. The supervisor was able to provide some things as goodwill.
