2011 Sonata Failings

A good vehicle whose performance has been diminished by a series of parts failing. Parts in critical locations fail rendering the vehicle inoperative requiring it to be towed for repairs. Car rides nicely and performs adequately but too many incidents requiring towing.

Love My Sonata

This is my 4th Hyundai. The other 3 continued giving great service long after I gave them away to family. My Sonata has been my main means of transportation (has over 100k miles) and I depend on it totally. It hasn't let me down. It rides smoothly and came equipped with everything I need at no additional cost.

Hyundai Sonata is a LEMON

I would never recommend the Hyundai Sonata or any Hyundai product to anyone. I tried to get it declared a "lemon". Unfortunately the State Attorney's Office informed me that the time limit had expired. So, I am stuck with this nightmare of an automobile.

I love my Sonata!

I have always gotten better gas mileage than was advertised and my car has over 130,000 miles. Every recall was corrected quickly with zero expense to me, including a completely new engine. It's 9 years old and still looks new.

We took our car into the dealer for them to check out the problem. They took each step required to get all the necessary areas checked related to the engine problem for the car. They did a thorough job inspecting everything.

2011 Sonata

I love my Sonata! I think I would like a new car but don't want to give up my Sonata. My daughter also has a Sonata (2012) that she thought she would pass down to her children, but that didn't happen. She ended up keep her Sonata & buying both kids a different car.

Great car

This is my second Sonata and have loved both . I am now 86 and giving up driving or would buy another one. We have owned five Hyundai cars and loved all of them. I highly recommend Hyundai and the Sonata.

Extended warranty

Hyundai stands behind their word supporting extended warrranty. Definitely a happy customer . I can’t think of anything else to say good 1st time but for a teenager. Keep up the maintenance u can’t go wrong

Sonata review

I love my Hyundai Sonata. It is always so dependable and the fuel efficiency is unbelieveable . The warranty is head and shoulders above other brands and the dealer lives up to the warranty . This car has all the features you could want or need. If there was a negative comment it would be the problem of blind spots.

2011 Sonata - Transmission issue

As an owner of a 2011 Sonata, the car is great and I like it. What I don't like is that with 25,600 miles, I've been informed by the dealer that after a diagnosis was done, the transmission needs replacing. Is this normal? I've also been informed that due to the fact I'm the 2nd owner, having bought the car when it was about 1 year old, with 11,000 miles, this is not covered by the Hyundai warranty. Is that also normal?

Love that Turbo!

Has been a great car for us in the 7+ years we have owned it. When I step on the gas, I'm gone! The 2.0T is so much more powerful than the standard engine. Power comes in handy with lane merges and driving around dangerous situations on the road. This is our 3rd Sonata. Had a 2007 that was totaled when a kid in his 'borrowed' parent's JEEP came flying out of a side road and spun me around 180 degrees. Have a 2006 model I bought for my wife in 2008 and it is still going strong. We bought the 2011 car in 2012. Hyundai makes a good car.

My Hyundai Sonata

I love my car. Never in a million years did I think I would buy a Hyundai but I did and it was the best move I could make. Only major problem I had with it is my radio stopped working. Other than that I would but another If Something happened to mine.

Fantastic!

I like the design and the over all look of the vehicle. Inside ..Cabin space is not a problem, Engine: nice power when you need it. Very good handling in all driving conditions. Feeling of driving a solid car.

My sonata was purchased on 2010 with 6 miles and i just had it serviced for its 100,000 thousandth miles always serviced at Central Valley Hyundai (Thank You service department) car runs great and it still looks good too.

Great car, definitely get another one! Wish mine had a back up camera though. Otherwise great car, very comfortable and dependable. Want a Hyundai SUV eventually, highly recommend this car to family and friends.

Best car I've ever had.

I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo 2.0. It was purchased brand new in the summer of 2011. It's been a solid, and reliable vehicle. I think it's an absolutely beautiful car, especially in silver. It's far superior in looks, and performance, to the post 2014 Sonata Turbos. Those post '14's are ugly, and they have less HP. What can I say. It's fast, it looks great, it gets great gas mileage, and there's plenty of room in the cabin, and there's a ton of room in the trunk for a sedan. It does great in the snow, which makes life so much easier in the winter. My previous car was RWD, and though I'll always be fond of that car, it was awful in the snow. I still get compliments on the car, even now that it's nine years old. This is a car that I'll keep around for many years to come.

The Worst

We have had nothing but trouble with this car. We have had the engine replaced as well as numerous other issues. The tire rims are weak and have created issues with the automatic tire pressure gauges which are far to expensive to replace. Yu can check with Eric and look up our records. Because of these issues we will never buy another Hyundai and we advise our friends and family the same.
