NEVER AGAIN

Really like the car but the Hyundai dealerships especially Parkway Hyundai have left such a bad taste in my mouth, I will never buy another!!

Engine failure at 50,000 miles

Perfect car until engine cut out whilst driving. Hyundai refused to repair. Would have bought another car but customer service terrible rude and incomplete. Disgusting. Will never buy or recommend. Warranty is useless.

worst vehicle quality ever and dealers suck

I have had issues with backup camera/audio controls /battery and inner plastics popping off but no response from company and dealers have been trying to extract money. Also never take any extended warranties as its a big scam and does not work

Disposable Car. (Don't Waste Your Money)

The engine in the Sonatas wear out somewhere near where the 100,000 mile warranty expires. Usually just after. I'm lucky. My engine seized at 93,000 miles. When they opened it up, they found it is full of metal parts. I asked "what happened?" The service manager only replied "We don't know. Hyundai does not have a technical solution". The Dealership honored the warranty and rebuilt my engine. But the warranty on the new engine only goes to 100,000. I buy cars with the expectation that you change the oil every 3,000 miles and the engine will last forever. I no longer believe this- at least with Hyundai. I know the engine will seize again, and no amount of oil changes will prevent it. BEWARE THE HYUNDAI!!!

Hyndai Sonata Hybrid

This car is weak. Every piece on it costs more than similar cars (example a new REGULAR battery was almost $400 at the dealership in Vero Beach). I bought this car, because the battery was under warranty for a lifetime. I guess not ALL batteries are warrantied. This car does not have much power. The radio was replaced over 4 times and still goes out randomly. I have to click the ((b)) button on the rearview mirror and then click the cancel button on the screen to get the radio to come on. I found this out by chance. I had no help from the dealerships that replaced the radio more than 2 times. In fact, they complained about having to fix it and I gave up returning the car there for service. I would not recommend Hyndai. I have had good service at one dealership and poor service at another. It should not take over 4 hours to replace the simple battery. Don't worry, there were snacks, drinks, etc. I would prefer quicker service that is reasonably priced and get rid of the "frills".

DONT BUY THIS VEHICLE!!

These are cheap throw away cars. Not only have I had several visits to the dealership for door locks, many recalls, sunroof issues, brake booster issues I've also had to have the motor replaced..

DON’T BUY

I would NOT recommend this car to anyone! I’m not too sure what perfect location others have gotten their cars from, but mine specifically and a few people close to me are HORRIBLE! I’ve had the car maybe 3 years and I’ve made complaints since 1 month of having it. I should’ve returned it then. Hyundai doesn’t want to own up to this far being faulty and I’m over it! I’m sure to tell any and everyone i know or run into, not to purchase this vehicle. Engine replacements, electrical issues (radio freezes, having to disconnect battery just to fix, light bulbs doing out after JUST being replaced), recalls on major parts every year and I believe the car is a safety hazard. I’m over it and Hyundai. Still waiting on my call back from the company too! It’s not just my vehicle, others that i personally know what the SAME issues. Hyundai doesn’t seem to care. Once i figure out my CURRENT issues with Hyundai, I highly doubt I’ll purchase another. Trust me, I won’t recommend it to anyone.

2012 Hyundai Sonata @ 56K has so many issues! A car at 56K shouldn't have these many issues!

If I could go back in time I would not have bought this car. I bought this car because I like the design more than the Toyota Camry or even the Accord. I had concerns about the reliability of Hyundai but thought the warranty would cover everything, I was wrong. Overall I am not happy with this car and I would really concern not ever buy a Hyundai vehicle again, and I'm Korean! No Korean pride here.

DONT BUY

I have had nothing but issues since purchasing this vehicle. I even had to replace the motor at 80000 miles. It lost it's value super fast and needs service more than the car is worth.I will definitely not be put having another Hyuandai I'm the future.

2012 Hyundai Sonata

The 2012 sonata has been a disaster ! The headlight burns outs every 3000 miles . I have had to change it quicker than an oil change . Also , the gas gauge does not work ! Gas attendants at Costco recognize this defects too . They have to keep pumping gas for Hyundai customers as a defect and inconvenience. Hyundai’s sucks because of this safety issue . It cost about $400 to fix this issue .

Money pit

I had a Honda with 250,000 miles on it, and barely spent any money to keep it running. I am thousands of dollars out with this vehicle. After just purchasing it I needed an entire motor and turbo. Countless things go wrong all the time and it is a 2012!

Poor quality

My car was at dealer for 7 weeks for repair. It was waiting for one part for that long. The actual fix was just a couple of hours. Dealer said, the part was not available. I’m not sure why it took that long

Not a fan

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bough this car used. There have been so many recalls. Recall with something needing to be reset with engine. Recently had to get an engine out in because of this recall. Another recall with the airbags. Just not feeling this car at all. Not a fan and I can’t wait to get out of it.

Issues

I’ve only had this car for two months and I’ve had issues back too back. They gave it too me with no oil change. Then it doesn’t want too start more then once. It’s ridiculous how many issues I had with that car

DONT Do it

I say save your money and buy a car from another Company. they lack in fully paying attention to the customer needs. I understand heavy loads on a work day, but when I purchased my car I didn't read this part of poor customer service or me being aware of others workload to be part of the contract agreement between Hyundai and myself. So disappointing.

Hyundai Hybrid - Made By Liars and Cheaters

Purchased this hybrid for my wife in 2012. Later was informed about a class-action lawsuit for deceptive advertising, hybrid did not achieve the mileage that they advertised or reported. They gave us three options, 1) discount an another new Hyundai, 2) some very small cash award, 3) maintenance card for $800 (I think). I chose #3, thought we could use it for routine or standard maintenance. That's been 3+ years, and still no result from the lawsuit. They want to drag it out so they never have to pay anything on the class-action suit. My car is now 6+ years old, and still nothing. Do they think I am stupid enough to buy another Hyundai? They already showed me they are dishonest. Now they try to cheat me when I get called in for a safety recall to replace an airbag module. Take my advice, never buy a Hyundai.

Horrible

I have never seen a car with soooooo many recalls! Once my engine locked up I started doing my research and I found that this car had over 7 recalls which 3 of the 7 were in 2012. I feel like this car is a complete death trap!

I’ll never get a Hyundai again the engine went and everything I took it to Hyundai where it took them over two months the car still runs funny I will not purchase a Hyundai again I plan on getting rid of the one I have
