Not happy

As I said before my vehicle has stalled out a few times before I have tried to get information and help on why the vehicle is doing so I have yet to be helped with that I do not and will not recommend anybody else to get this car I have got my niece and also my boss to get the same car and they have the same problems with the stuttering or the car stalling out my knees paid for hers to be checked they found nothing and gave her no answers and she put $10,000 down on her car Waymore than me so I am a little embarrassed for recommending her to get a car that is giving her problems for all that money she say to get a car so I really would like to get out of this car and be into something else that’s a little bit more reliable but when you can’t afford it because you’re putting your money into this car that’s what happens you’re stuck with something you don’t want

Sonata Review

The front seats are uncomfortable, especially for shorter drivers. The seats tilt back & down, making it difficult to see over the hood, even when the height adjustment is fully up. The radio is impossible to understand.

Mileage is horrible

17 mpg on local roads is not even close to the ads.... I have no issue with highway mileage... that is as advertised... the car runs smoothly..your staff drove thr car 120 miles over several days and said there was nothing wrong with the mileage or the computer.... that was a while back.. I would like you to hook up to blue link for two months so you can see how bad the mileage is..you can fill up the tank to verify the amount of gasoline used. Thank you.

Expected better quality. Very bad warranty service.

In a few days after purchasing this car I found that the trunk lid had not been adjusted properly at the factory. I fixed that issue by myself. In less than a year I had the following issue: the body control module showed on the display that the driver’s door was always closed even when it was really open. This issue was fixed under the warranty by replacing the door latch assembly but I had a lot of troubles with the warranty service. They fixed the issue but charged me a diagnostic fee and lost many small parts from the door of my car during the service. So, I have to do another repair after their warranty service. Small windows reduce visibility if you are not a tall person.

great looking exterior, could use interior upgrades comparable to other brands. driving feels uncontrollable most times at highway speeds 60 to 70 mph, not a terrible ride but could use improvements in future models

OK for the $$

I wouldn't buy this car again. It was not really cheap and I've had too many issues with it since I bought it new less than 2 years ago. I now see why it has a 10 year warranty - I'm sure it will fall apart in that time.

17 Sonata

It's good for point a to b driving. Not the cheapest or most expensive. Seats are not really comfortable. Vehicle is noisy to drive especially on startup but overall it's ok. Pretty good value for the money.

Not happy

Since I have had this sonata I have been disappointed with it I have difficulty getting in due to low roof line also very disappointed in the four cyclones engine even though it has enough power it sounds rough at low speeds and has a rattle especially when cold but am told is normal so needless to say I would not buy another and will trade it as soon as I can

;I have only owned this vehicle for 4000 miles but so far so good am pleased with my purchase

Like the on board computer and how it interacts with my phone. Don't like the headlights at night driving on low beams because their is a shadow that sometimes runs across the windshield making it difficult to see. Also the lack of power in snow.

Everything is good except for the 953 recall

I love this car so much. But the way Hyundai is handling the engine issue (953 service campaign) is very disappointing. I'm not sure if I'll ever buy a Hyundai again unless Hyundai does something to bring back the confidence. Just a software update (which actually creates more problems) and an extension of warranty is not enough.

Average vehicle

I have had nothing but issues with this Hyundai, I have previously owned 2 others. I will not buy Hyundai again after this vehicle and the service I have received from the dealer. Hyundai has also given me issues regarding the warranty of the vehicle.

hesitation

This car would be rated a 5 star but the Hesitation makes it a 3 star sorry . Other then the hesitation we absolutely love this car. The little led light that stays lit all the time over console is awesome every car should come with this.

I like the car but it sucks ass in the snow. No grip I'm all over the place... The power is okay the handling is decent. I just wish it had more options. The interior is bland the exterior is okay... It's a bit pricey for what it is and I don't recommend it

Sonata , average to good review

the dash constant prompts are very anoying and unattractive , when opening the door, often it does not work, and when it does it locks itself immediately. Otherwise it is a great car. car is leased Wilfred Behrens i was going to buy it back but do not like the above, especially the dash.

2017 Soanta required new steering coloumn

The electronic assisted power steering unit failed after only 18,000 miles. Many other vehicles including my daughters 2018 have the same problem. The steering acts like its sticking and over corrects.

Discouraged

Overall I cannot complain. The car has 80k miles and all I have had to do is oil changes and basic warranty recommended maintenance. But the fit and finish of the exterior and interior leaves me a little discouraged. The attention to detail and quality that would help the cosmetics and functionality of the interior is simply not there. The passenger mirror sometimes doesn’t work. The finish surrounding the cup holders is bubbling. The plastic seat frame that holds the seat adjusters has broken. Sometimes when I turn on the defrost it will take a full minute for the air to stop blowing out of the front vents and start blowing out the defroster vent. The front bumper is discolored and is now a slightly darker color white than the rest of the car; barely noticeable, but when you pay this much for a car, items like this are noticeable. I was hoping this car would last 200k plus miles, but am beginning to worry it may not.

Be careful

I bought the Sonata with 21000 And so far it’s been great as far as gas efficiency style and performance the only Issue I had was it had and recall issue 3 times For the same issue I got great coverage from the dealership and they got it fixed but I. The present time of the recall issue it was scary at the moment the vehicle break on it own at certain speeds and wouldn’t go above 62 mph other than that great vehicle.

This car is just okay if it had all wheel drive and better transmission might be better has okay power but slips when it rains very easily they could do better they definitely should put an all wheel drive system in there they need it
