Unhappy Customer

I was not notified there was a recall on the engine. While on a busy road the engine shut down, at night, where there are limited street lights, in a unsafe location to wait inside and outside of the car for 2 hours waiting on a truck driver. Now I'm in a downgrade rental car without any idea when my car will be fixed. I've already had to replace the battery on a 2018 car, airbags had a recall and my paint on the hood has bubbled/chipped.

5th Hyundai Customer

I love Hyundai and have enjoyed my brand new car until I had a service recall that resulted in a new engine install. This was an emotional experience for me because I purchased this car brand new! I peeled the plastic off so this meant alot to me and then the engine failed at 52k. I love Hyundai but this experience has me second guessing another purchase in the future. Other than this experience I love everything else about it.

Sonata turbo limited

Overall bad car. Loved the styling and fun to drive when vehicle actually works. The engine seldom starts on the first try and the paint quality is poor. All the rims are peeling and flaking. Wouldn’t buy again.

Not a Happy Hyundai Customer after 5 Hyundai purchases

This is my 5th Hyundai purchase but first brand new purchase in 2017 was in heaven with the purchase! Until the engine failed and no next level person called me back yet! Engine performance in a vehicle is everything to me because I loved Hyundai and stood behind there product. I even told my friends and family about the performance of these vehicles being superb only to have my very own new vehicle's engine flop and its continuing to make noises upon acceleration.

Poor

This vehicle's engine, starter, tire safety is unreliable and has proven unsafe. I purchased a lemon and the company's and car dealership response has been very highly unsatisfactory and proven to have unethical business practices.

Vehicle STOLEN from service center lot

My vehicle was STOLEN from the service center lot using the key that they supposedly locked in their office! Sport Durst Hyundai failed to remedy the situation after allowing the theft of my car from their lot, leaving me without a car. It took them 2 weeks to report the car stolen, rendering the Blue Link system completely useless. Don't ever leave a vehicle in their "care" as their security protocols are abysmal and they can't be trusted!!!

Engine is weak

Engine failure at 34,000, lost faith in car. Leased it brand new and started having problems with the vehicle after 3 months. First it was a missing pin in axial causing vibrations. Second, water in passenger floor mat. Third, engine light blinking

Paint almost half gone on the roof. I now have seen multiple cars exactly like mine with the paint missing in the exact same spots! Paint should last atleast a few years on a brand new vehicle not 6 months

Suspension poor and poor!

The worse riding car ever and the sales and closing sales person took complete advantage of our financial situation period where they only benefited from me buying a vehicle and I couldn’t do nothing but pay!! I will never be back mr hit it out of the park!! And high five in front of me and my family such a low in my life!! Never!

It was the worse car and customer service I have ever experienced the car began having problems I tried working with Hyundai even asked to trade it it's my 2nd brand new Hyundai I will never purchase another Hyundai the customer service was horrible

Performance

Only 21,000 miles, 2 1/2 year old, but very poor gas mileage. Overall poor quality, had problems with blue tooth, suspension struts, trunk lid latch broken, etc. would not want to buy again. Local dealer in Katy could not get parts for a month and treated me poorly

Not worth the money

This vehicle i would not recommend. The headlight setting is not sufficient and the heating system is not warm enough. The heated seats do not get warm enough either. This vehicle is just not one I would recommend.

Disappointed

Over I'm not satisfied with this vehicle. I have never this sort bad experience with Hyundai made vehicles. I think quality wasn't there particularly sonata and I'm not sure if I'm going to purchase another sonata due bad experience i had with this one.

Will not buy another Hyundai twice the car left me stranded and instead of the dealer ship fixing the problem they put new brakes and new cruse control and its has did it again, took car back to dealership and was told all reads OK

Hyundai does not stand behind its warranty

I was developing into a loyal Hyundai customer (second car) yet they have decided to stop standing behind their cars. There is a problem with their engines consuming oil, and instead of honoring their famous warranty, they have decided to saddle the owners with a perpetual, dangerous, and eventually expensive engine issue. I am cautioning anyone who is looking to purchase a car that consumes oil.

Horrible Dealership

The car was fine. I will never purchase another Hyundai due to the dealer network. The dealer is dishonest and would not repair the car under warranty. I went back to a tried and true brand that will support their customer.

Poor craftmanship

There were various defects in the car: sharkfin attena broke off, electric seat stopped working, trunk latch broke, faulty steering rack. These occurred when the car had less than 20,000 miles on it.

Engineer oil issue

Engineer problem and every 700 to 1000 miles you need to go back to the dealership so they can check the oil level. Corporate office need to a call not happy customers. Wasting time at the dealerships

It's good if they cared enough to make it right

The car overall is good on paper, but the QC, and finished product is a joke, many flaws and amateur mistakes done to the assembly of the car. Gas consumption is between 20-25% higher than declared by Hyundai, wouldn't recommend it.

Very disappointed in my new Sonata

The new Sonata that I purchased had immediate transmission problems the day after I brought it home from the dealership. After taking it in for service, I had to take it right back in due to transmission problems.
