2018 Sonata review

I occasionally drove my father-in-laws Sonatas (2010, 2013, and 2016) and they were always an enjoyable ride. I couldn't wait to rid myself of my 2010 Pontiac G6 and finally get my own Sonata. I wish I had bought a Sonata back in 2010 and saved myself 8 years of "G6 misery".

the quality of interior must be more than this , interior is so noisy, , exterior design is one of the best. Seats are comfy and trunk and interior is roomy, gas mileage could be better than this. Overall I like it

Great car!

I love this car....how it drives, how comfortable it is, it fuel economy, spaciousness of the back seat....I traded in a Lexus GS350 which had more horsepower and was a 'luxury' car, but I find that the Sonata feels just as luxurious and is a great road trip car plus it uses Regular gas and gas mileage is considerably higher than the Lexus.

I love my car, so glad I can take my car for service all employees were very friendly and made it comfortable while waiting.

This is my second Hyundai and I have been very pleased with my car, I like the convenience of carrying the car to same place I bought it to get it serviced, waiting room is comfortable and employees very friendly and they say hello when they see you and smile and make you feel welcome and ask if you need anything and limit your wait.

Excellent Vehicle

I own the Hyundai Sonata Sport Turbo, it is the best vehicle I have owned! The styling, comfort, reliability far surpass that of other manufactures. This is car is exciting, and fun to drive! If you haven't looked at a Hyundai you are missing out, test drive the rest but only settle for the best. Hyundai is where you need to be.

Great Car Great Value

I bought this car for my wife who wanted something gas efficient but not the size of a clown car. The Sonata checked all the boxes and has been an excellent choice for her. She gets impressive fuel economy, has room for me (headroom and legroom is important since I’m taller), and feels safe while driving it. I have no complaints and will likely go back for another.

I love my car!

My Sonata always starts. Has a very quiet engine. Hyundai's warranty is excellent and they stand behind their product. The tire gauge only starts and runs while one is driving, wish it would measure cold tire pressure in the park mode.

Excellent car

We're very happy with our '18 Sonata SEL, aside from daily driving we just finished a 3900 mile road trip through the desert south west visiting friends and sight seeing. We went from 60 degrees at seal level, up to 115 in places and up to 9000 feet and the car never missed a beat, handling the 80+ mph speed limits with the a/c cranking and still returned a trip average of 35 mpg, up to nearly 40 mpg in places. Roomy and comfortable we were able to bang out 7 and 8 hour driving days with no problems or discomfort. Really a fine car with well though out and useable features, highly recommended if you're looking for a mid-sized sedan.

A comfortable,safe, and sizable nice car

It drives very comfortably, very smooth control. The safety features are just a driver need. The room is comfortable for five adults. Lack a front camera for the driver to see the front when parking.

Excellent 1st Car for new buyers, it is roomy, and great on mileage. Everyone who rode in my car says it smells wonderful and rides really great!! Great leg room and I love to travel, this car has been great on the road.

This 2018 Sonata is my third Hyundai we have owned and plan on buying another one in the spring for my wife.I have had 0 problems with this car,it is fun to drive the acceleration is surprising.The styling is very good i get alot of compliments

We liked the 2018 so much that we upgraded to a 2019 with the Tech Package

We chose to buy the 2018 Sonata due to a very high recommendation from our family car expert (who sells another make of car). I was looking for reliability and lots of driver leg room. We drove the car for a year and our only regret was that we had not upgraded to the Tech Package so we traded our 2018 for a 2019 with Driver Assist. We were given great terms on our trade and are very happy with our decision.

Outstanding auto. This is my 4th Hyundai, look forward to leasing future cars. Will always compare models/manufacturers. Male sure Hyumdai is competitive. Make sure the value is good for the price and the service and dealership is understanding of the purchaser's needs.

Dependable

This is our third Sonata and we plan on keeping it at the end of the lease. Have been happy with the first, however our previous lease had 6 recalls. That is and was not acceptable. Our son was going to purchase it but with all the recalls, he passed.

Handles like my BMW. Very fuel efficient. All the bells and whistles except rain sensing wipers. Too much road noise. I am 85 and one black interior in my life was enough....never again! The lane assist is a wonderful addition. Needs a rheostat to increase volume of the LDWS when I forget my hearing aids..

Hyundai Sonata t 2.0

Good solid car, fun to drive. Has a nice get-up-and-go. Has a few quirky issue that should be revisited, in my opinion (headlights, nav system). Has many pluses that my Honda never had (fairly quiet cabin, pretty smoth ride).

Great value for the money.

I have owned my 2018 Hyundai Sonata Sport Plus for a little over a year now. I love the equipment level you get for the money you spend. To get the same level in a Camry would have cost almost another $10000. You certainly can’t beat their warranty. I have notified no real difference in build quality between this car and my Honda and Toyota’s. The only areas that could use improvement is in emission ratings and their paint while even and seemingly deep seems to chip easily. Maybe they just don’t do as many layers. The interior is well layer out and the leather trimmed seats are supportive and are easy to adjust. The Plus level has great safety features including dynamic cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist (in the correct conditions you can ( although you should not) allow the car to drive itself with your hands off the wheel for approx 25 seconds). The standard stereo is good with 6 speakers and Android Auto and Apple Car Play support. You also get Sirius/XM for three months free. I definitely do not feel I scarified anything buying a Hyundai over their Japanese competitors. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great car at a great price.
