Not impressed

I bought this car in May 2018 and currently i have 11k on it and the Rotors were warped and had to be repair when I first noticed this issue in month 3 i was told it was my tire preasure Also on month 3 my rear brakelight went out while i was out of state if i had my way i would trade it! Bit the service dept and sales dept are great

Not sure I would buy another Hyundai

Although the service department and dealership did everything in their power to rectifythe issue, the manufacturer's recall caused my engine to fail at 20k miles. it took 2 months to get a ue to the engine due to the fact it was back ordered. I feel Hyundai could have, and absolutely should have done something more.

This vehicle looks great inside and out and the space and performance of this vehicle was almost perfect. However, the vehicle was stolen not even a week after delivery, regardless of security measures such as locked door, and car alarm set.

My time is just as important as your time

I went through car wash and the radio antenna blew off of the roof, manager there offered to glue back on, said a major problem with this car brand and KIA. Went to insurance and to a repair place and finally went to dealer. I used two days of my time just because I wanted to wash my car. (Including repair) Did not realize that car did not have CD player or I would not of purchased car. I would think a better radio with CD player is all that is required. Make your money on the sale of the car and not on how many subscriptions that you sell. This is third Sonata that I have owned, there is a whine in engine or transmission, can hear wind sounds from outside. Car quality seems to be going down hill.

Its ok

I had this vehicle 5 months and the motor went out. They did replace it under warranty however is has not run right since nor does any vehicle. Hyundai is trying to work with me, but it has not been resolved yet as of 4 month later. Purchased in late September, broke February 1st, it's now June 17th. I bought this car to drive for 10 years and 100,000 miles not 20,000.

Unable to enjoy

Love the car, but unable to enjoy a vehicle I’m paying for, I bought it brand new 10 months ago but it’s always at the dealership getting repaired. Very disappointed! This whole ordeal is a nightmare

Cant see at night!

You cant see to turn at night! If you live in the country like me there may not be a street light, this car only shines infront. You cant see out the back either, when in reverse if your camera gets covered you MUST get out to fix it because there is no lights to see out the back window. Talk about making you an easy target! Night driving is not safe in this care I do not like it.

Overall

My third sonata, second new one bought from this dealership, the vehicle itself is ok, just being told the condition is normal upsets me. If the a/c can’t keep up it’s the conditions that is not normal. The remote start quit in January while in Florida, if it was up here I would be livid. But now it’s hot here and it is not keeping up!

Sonata body lines not matching

Lack of concern regarding lining up body lines! Horrible non caring customer service to the point I contacted better business burea. This is my first and will be my last HYUNDAI product. BBB and myself agreed for Hyundai to check car again...they had 30 days to contact me to complete repair. 37 days gone by. Never heard from HYUNDAI at all. I had to send a 10 day final letter to get a response from them. I was told by my dealership/body shop that if they adjust the lines my doors would stick. Now supposedly the body shop it was taken to believes they may be able to fix it! So far have not had a follow up call as to how it’s going or if my car is done or can’t be fixed.

Not a very good service department.I made an appointment and when I brought my car in,they told me that I did not have one and that I would have to wait two hours and then maybe they could get to it.I went to another shop.

Reseach !!!

Research these vehicles before you buy one . We had major engine issues that resulted in a replacement . After 30 days of our vehicle being in the shop with no resolution , we started to push back since no one from Hyundai reached out to us regarding the issues . We took steps toward the Lemon Law , seeking a replacement but Hyundai was less then Helpful . They have poor customer service and they do not care about there customers at all . It was a awful experience . I own a vehicle that I will never feel safe in and its only 8months old . Hyundai wanted to bully us into a settlement not willing to negotiate any terms . It was their way or no way at all ! it was awful . So please do yourself the favor and do not buy a Hyundai !!

Bad deal

I purchased this car New a year ago bad deal don’t do it!!! I will never purchase another car like this again. And will never purchase a new car ever again this is sad and I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK AND THEY CAN HAVE THE CAR.

After waiting for a few years to buy a new car one we can depend on since we are up in age with health issues dependability was a must so far have not been happen with the motor issue i have been having with this car had to have it towed twice to dealership for the same problem left me stranded

No more Hyundai cars

After owning a Hyundai in the past, we decided to buy another one. 2018 Sonata 2.0 turbo. Not impressed with car at all. Bluetooth radio, blue link sucks! No key fob to start car, must use blue link, takes way to long and have wait time after locking doors just to start. A/c recirculation button does what it wants, when it wants. Brakes squeal all the time. Been to shop several times and only 12k miles. Cheap built cars with little thought.

Doesn’t get around well in snow. Speakers are weak. Not pleased with engine light issues after recalll. Needsweather swap out floor mats. More trunk hooks would be nice. After market filters do not fit.

Disappointed

I loved my sonata when I first purchased it less than a year ago, but I have had too many problems out of my car and all Hyundai wants to do is patch it together because of a “warranty” the warranty is good but I don’t think I should be even using a warranty this soon!

Since I was told metal pieces was in my oil pan and had me to get a new one which was on them in a 2018 Hyundai Sonata I’ll think twice before purchase another even though I really like Hyundai Sonata had 3 plus the one I have now

My 2018 leased Hyundai Sonata SEL

My wife and I are very pleased with our Sonata. It looks and runs beautifully. We're exactly 2 years into our lease, which comes with 3 years, 36000 miles coverage. We have only 17,000 miles on it. We also have a 2003 Lexus 300 GS which looks and runs like new, so we utilize both vehicles. We love the Sonata and when our lease expires we will be looking into leasing a new 2021 Sonata. We will do competitive shopping and be looking for the best deal. We will be looking at Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Ford Fusion, and Hyundai Sonata. We are retired, on a fixed budget, and price is very important to us.

Engine issues

Vehicle was great when purchased, nice and smooth. Few months in then the vehicle started having issues. Gave up on me while driving it on the road felt like I was going to get rear ended. This issues happened more than one and I was terrified specially having 2 small children.
