Fun to drive

The sonata is fun to drive and look sleek. The only concern that I have is that while idling I feel the motor changing speed a lot. Almost similar to a rough idle but not as bad. The sport mode makes the car ultra responsive which is great if you need to do a quick pass

LEASED THIS VEHICLE FOR MY WIFE.

FOR THE MONEY YO CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE OF THIS VEHICLE. VERY RELIABLE 2ND CAR. MY WIFE LOVES IT. THIS IS MY THIRD HYANDAI AND I REALLY HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. I PAY ALOT MORE FOR THIS CAR BUT I GUESS THAT IS WHAT IT IS.

First new car

This was my first ever new car and I love my car. I was only able to afford the base model but it still looks amazing even for a base model. I do like the extra features that can be found in the more upscale models such as leather seats with power controls. I do feel like the seats in the base model that I have should have been power seats or at least the driver seat. This in my opinion was a cheap out on Hyundai's part.

2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited

For the pricepoint, the features of the 2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited are up there with luxury cars. Having Android Auto/Apple play, premium sound and an extended sunroof are all features you would expect from brands like Mercedes, Lexus and BMW. The added 2.0 Turbo means there's power when you need it, but a V4 engine for fuel efficiency.

Love the technology

The Sonata is a fun vehicle to drive. The Smart Cruise Control makes driving a breeze. I love the ability of the SCC to bring the car to a complete stop and restart automatically. I use it all the time.

Great car for my little family!

My very first car was a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, so when I purchased my car I knew what I was getting. I love my car but I really really wish that it was Blue link compatible. Initially, I was just looking for something a little more roomy because I had a baby in March and my little Chevy Cruze was just not big enough for our family. The room in my Hyundai is awesome! So it definitely fits my needs and the cool cruise control, which I did not have in my Cruze, is great to have as well. I love the Apple Play, and the smoothness of the ride. Since it is 2019 I wish it was push to start, but I do understand that I chose a standard model so it wasn't a deal breaker. I do plan on calling bluelink to see if it is possible to get it added or installed into my car.

My thoughts

It's not the car my heart was going after but I've had it for about 4 months now and I honestly can say I have grown to enjoy the ride... it's pretty smooth and I get many compliments which is always nice!??

Great dependable car

I've had dozens of vehicles and the 2019 Sonata Sport is overall a well made dependable vehicle. The ride comfortable and road noise is quite. It's a good vehicle for economy. As far as off the line it lacks but it's dependable to get you there in one piece safely. I love it so far.

Top rated affordability

The Hyundai Sonata is a great car with great features that are on par with its competitors. The Sonata has a price point that offers affordable features such as dual zone climate control and leather seats that are far below that of Camry and Accord, especially when dealerships are having good sales on top of pricing. And with the Sonata being ranked in the top with Camry and Accord, it makes for a great alternative. The design of the car is wonderful inside and out with plenty of room and a modern feel. The drive is smooth and with sport mode the engine is more responsive when needed or when wanting to enjoy the ride.

Good vehicle

It's a great looking vehicle inside and out. I love driving it and it is a lot of fun, but it does have its quirks. Every so often I get a rough idle when sitting at a light. I always wonder about the longevity of a vehicle and have a reason to question the brand. I'm hoping this will be a great vehicle for many many years with no issues. Would like to see more HP for the money. These motors can easily do 280 to 300.

2019 Sonata SE

The Sonata is everything we expected. We lease the SE model. The ride is extremely nice and the power of the engine is better than I expected. With that said, I believe the next time I would upgrade to a model with more creature comforts I.E. Blue Link, and power and heated seats. Overall however we are very pleased with the car.

Above average and well appointed, but some pieces missing

The biggest gripe is the around town fuel economy. It is supposed to avg. 25 mpg. I get 18. This is the second time Hyundai sold me a car with less than advertised fuel economy. To be fair, the highway rating is 33, and I have gotten 33-36 mpg. The second biggest gripe is performance. In normal driving mode, just trundling around town, shift point are too low, and.because it gets you into the highest gear possible as quickly as possible you are literally trundling. This makes it an unpleasant effort to just keep up with traffic as you are constantly pushing the accelerator to down shift. VERY UnPLEASANT driving experience. I know there is a sport mode but the drawback is lowered fuel economy. Apple car play struggles to keep everything coordinated. Seems like the car, the iPhone are constantly fighting for control. I also get a Black Screen when playing pandora. All in all a lot of features. I even got the trunk to open fully with a bungee cord. Glad I leased though as the poor fuel economy and driving experience are deal breakers for me. I will look elsewhere next time

Nice car

I like the car, the price and warranty are appealing. I like the style and tech. My brakes squeal which I dislike. Sometimes on acceleration, it sounds/feels sluggish. Overall I'm impressed, my only real complaint is the brake noise.

Good but

My 2019 is a good car, but . . . First, it came with a defective windshield--the laminate was bad and I had shimmering lines in it. Second, the gas mileage is not good. I do like the safety features, which is the primary reason I bought this car.

Great vehicle

It rides smoothly and has nice styling. I got the sport model with all the bells and whistles. I wish I could have picked a different color but the dealer didn't have any others available. It is comfortable however the radio took some getting use to.

How it works

This is my fourth Hyundai going back into the ‘80’s. I have found this product to be very satisfying and reliable. I have not had any problems with any of these vehicles but I am very good about maintenance and upkeep . My first car was an Elantra and the next three were sonatas.

Second Sonata

Second Sonata. We had 2015 Sonata Limited and loved it. Traded it in 2018 and regretted it. Bought a 2019 Sonata Limited last month. Very similar to 2015. The grill is different, but it is growing on me. The wheels are different, but I don’t think they are as nice as the 2015 wheels. The 2015 had dual exhaust, but the 2019 has single exhaust. Not sure if it matters performance wise, but in appearance, the dual exhaust looks better.
