2020 Hyundai Somata

Overall quality of vehicle has been poor. Purchased brand new 2020 Hyundai Sonata and within ten days the entire engine had to be replaced. Still having the same issues which make the vehicle unsafe. Hyundai customer support is extremely unhelpful and limit your ability to communicate with supervisors.

I got a bad design on passenger side tail light don't line up

Give me a nice vehicle but I just need to do some adjustments on a rear tail light it don't line up everytime I wash it makes me sick they need to do something with lining passenger rear quarter panel up with the trunk

I will never by another Hyundai again! 2020 Sonata = The Worse! and Dealer Customer Server = The Absolute Worse!

Hyundai has taken too many liberties "for the sake of progress" which makes the driving experience a nightmare for a person who wants full control of their vehicle. 1. Paddle Shifters (Manual Mode) The manual mode is useless. Within 2 minutes of being in that mode, I'm kicked back into automatic mode. It doesn't matter if I am well within RPM range or not. 2. Environmental Controls: Using the remote to start the car resets the environment back to factory settings. Using the app to start the car resets the environment back to factory settings aside from the set temperature on the app Fan speed just does what it wants no matter how the car is started or even while driving Not great if you are a person who likes their flow control and fan speed set a specific way! The issue of environmental control is simply a way for you to have to rely on starting the car with bluelink to get a better experience with the vehicle (at the cost of a subscription). Just a horrible sales tactic to try and get renewable sales. 3. Drive Modes I shouldn't have to tell the car what mode I want it every single time I get in the car. If I set the car to sport mode, it should stay in sport mode through restarts until I change it to something else. Who wants to have to continually remember to change that setting when they enter their vehicle. All issues above were not discovered until I drove the vehicle for a while. When confronting the dealer about either issue the only response I kept hearing was they didn't know anything about the car, its too new. This tells me, they don't get any sort of corporate training when these vehicles are released making the experience even worse for the buyer. In the end, I was told I was going to be contacted by a regional big wig. I NEVER GOT A CALL. I was contacted by a business manager through yelp who told me to contact another individual about my issues. After explaining that I already spoke with that individual, I never heard back from that person. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Brand new 2020 Sonata with too many problems

At first I was happy with my car. I love the outside of the car and the comfortability but once I started driving it so many problems occurred. A lot of sensors had to be replaced, the ignition wasn’t working, and the car will not accelerate

Hyundai 2020 SE

My car I traded in was a Hyundai Sonata 2015 and it was equipped with BlueLink, Tinted Windows, USB port in back, arm rest with cup holders, this dud I got have none of this at all. Plus I was not told Hyundai was responsible for my motor in my car I traded in. I was not told a lot of stuff. Then I was told my interest rate was 3% but I see it was 4.9%. Will not shop ORR Hyundai again.

Leased vehicle from Fort Mill Hyundai SC. Really bad experience with service complaint 3 days after pick up. Contacted Hyundai customer service and received different comments from each person I spoke with. No follow up from corporate as promised. Will not purchase another Hyundai vehicle based on the lack of customer support and the complete lack of interest shown by there team. Complete Google review is listed on Fort Mill website.

RE-POST OF REMOVED ‘HIGHWAY ROBBERY OF LEASED BRAND NEW (GRAPEFRUIT) 2020 SONATA LIMITED.’

During COVID-19 you would expect Glassman Hyundai to appreciate any customer coming thru the door to sell unsold cars. Instead Glassman motors are predators, scamming unknowing customers like me insisting the best deal on car with average pricing of $33,000, with a lease of $39,000 ($4000 above MSRP). $600/months for 48months with residual purchase price of $18,000. To make matters worse, car shows yellow engine trouble light the next day after delivery. 3-day return is a scam, selling cars with defective parts a scam. Glassman Greed is the game, and Hyundai motors of America suggest go to state lemon law. Btw, other shop says entire harness needed and is on 4-month back order. They think they got away with rip-off. Review Glassman complaints and BBB, which I should have done.

Sonata SEL

I love the new Sonata SEL. It rides very smooth! The cost was great. Jorge Montealegre is GREAT! The level of service i received was excellent. Thanks for the Ipod to watch the Gator Game Ceasar! Ryan was wonderful on crunching the numbers to work out. I would have loved to receive the Sentinel as a bonus, instead of me paying for it.

Horrible experience

I picked up a brand new 2020 Sonata limited. I was excited to think how great this car would be. The person showing the car pressed the "H" logo to open the trunk, and I didn't do it myself. I got home and immediately noticed deep gouges under what appears to be protective tape in that area. To think anyone would pass this off without fixing or mentioning. I'm discussed !!!!

FIX THE REAR DOOR WATER LEAK!!!!

As other reviewers have stated , both of the rear doors leak and water sits in the bottom of the door jam and you have to open the doors to get the water out , I researched the problem and found sone folks have had good luck with changing weatherstripping and belt mouldings , so I took my car to my local dealer and they said there’s no problem , that it’s designed to have to open the doors and let the water out..... BS !!!! Overall we love everything else about the car but none of that j is d going to matter when the water Rusts the car out or the weatherstripping gets torn up cause all that water will freeze and you’ll have to pull the door open and rear it up ...

Just say NO

After 42 years of loyal Toyota buying I switched to Hyundai because of $5K difference in cost. Worst mistake! Every time it rains the rear passenger doors hold water drenching your shoes even 10 days later. At 17,000 miles things are rattling in the doors and dash. No fixes in sight. $35,000 on a vehicle not worth a dime.

Lousy vehicle

After 900 miles the piece of junk had electrical problems that was not fixed the first time. This is ridiculous that a brand new car would cause so much issues. I would never buy a Hyundai again! I have the lemon law layers involved

Love the car, hate the bad odor

Since day 1 a bad odor comes from engine compartment whenever car is running. Can smell it in car, in garage after driving. Service dept is no help. I love the everything else about this car.

Avoid this car at all costs

The 2020 Sonata Limited was supposed to have all the safety features I wanted in a car. Turns out, it’s the most unsafe and unreliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’ve lost my confidence in the brand. Build quality is also horrendous. There was no quality control on the assembly line

Things break quickly

When I first bought this car . I love it two months in things started to come off the car. I will finish paying it but I would not recommend this car to anyone. I don’t not want to sound mean but I was not expecting this experience since I own a Hyundai before.

Stay away

Too many issues!!! Was in the shop three times before I had it a year. Took the dealership way too long to find the problem. Even after the fuel pump was replaced it still has issues starting. There is also a faint gas smell to the car now when you’re sitting in it.

I DID love this car but its been in the shop for 7 MONTHS!!

Initially I really enjoyed owning my Hyundai Sonata. It was a very comfortable and slightly sporty sedan. The tech Hyundai is absolutely unrivaled from the price. Fast forward to May of 2022. The air conditioning blower motor stopped working (A/C is a must during Texas summers). I took it to the dealership on two separate occasions and they failed to resolved the issue. The third time I had to speak directly to the service manager and he, it seemed isolated the problem to the engine harness. Again, this was in May...its about to be January and I still don't have my car back. The latest estimate for the part coming in is the end of January 2023. At this point I have very little faith in that estimation. Bottom line; avoid this brand unless you enjoy making payments on a car you dont have and cant use.

I have had a horrible experience with Jack Giambalvo of Hanover pa.

I have taken my car since April 2022 10 times for the exact engine code. In august of 2022 they kept my car. Today is Jan30 2023 and I still do not have my car. It has been sitting in the weather for the past 7 months.
