The worst car I have owned in 25 years

I have always loved the quality of Hyundai and have owned 4 of the last 20 years. I purchased this one without hesitation and it has been serviced 2 times with 5k miles. The quality is gone along with the performance. In the past the car was fun to drive and you got what you paid for. Now with the technology that does not work and the poor quality it is a waste of money.

Dissapointed

I have now purchased 2 brand new Sonata's 2017 and 2021, more issues with the 2021 than ever had with with 2017. Odd noises loose bolts on starter, vehicle didnt want to start wouldnt turn over, funny smell, even after detail and upholstery refresh. More issues than I ever wanted to deal with within the 2 months I've had vehicle. Drives terrible in snow,handling it horrid zero traction control.

hyundai is garbage. hyundai gotta learn how to build engine and transmission from toyota. and hyundai is cheap brand so poor people buy hyundai. hyundai is not reliable..and hyundai has too many quality issue like american cars

TOO MANY ISSUES

The car is stylish, this is our 4th Hyundai; never had problems in the past. This Sonata has issues with paint, wipers, bluetooth, the entire entertainment and navigation and phone and media system, fuel door problems, remote entry issues, trunk unlatch issues

Defective mirrors dealer not changing it

Vehicle is good, but the way dealer treats me unacceptable and rude !!, my outside mirrors are defective dealer is taking their sweet time possible!!! I know they have parts but they refuse to change it even it happen after 2 days of the purchase... not happy at all with the car thinking of returning it

LEMON FOR A 2021 SONATA LIMITED....A LEMON..BAD EXPERIENCE AS IT DOES NOT START AT RANDOM TIMES UNSAFE

The car is a lemon...and is bad news. Hyundai now needs to step and replace the car...it is unsafe to drive...not dependable. Doesnt start randomly and you are stranded. You cannot depend to depart and return....bad news for Hyundai...but if they make it good..then the Corporation can save its name. We will see what happens..lets pray for good results.

Poor apple car play and Bluetooth

I’m totally dissatisfied with this purchase the reliability of this vehicle is so poor. The display system shuts down most of the time and apple car play doesn’t work and Bluetooth doesn’t work properly.

It's a car.

Our last Hyundai was great but this one not so much. One month of ownership and the fabric of interior is coming apart. The rear drivers side window is making a realy bad sound and is very slow to open or close.

Car shutting off

I purchased my 21 sonata brand new about a month ago. I’m about to hit 3k miles and it is shutting off immediately after start. I have to attempt to start my car at least two times before it stays on.

Buy this car if you want issues off the bat

As soon as I drove this car off the lot with 47 miles on it, I noticed a rattling noise while engaging and disengaging the vehicle. I have owned the car for 37 days, the dealer has had the vehicle for 30 days in an attempt to diagnose and fix the noise, however they have been unable to and are not offering any solutions. This has been a nightmare. 10/10 do not recommend.

Letdown for ride quality and User Interface Change

Not my favorite new car purchase compared to the Nissan Altima and Hi da Accord. Styling is striking but ride quality stinks! User I terrace is also very dark and lacks color/pop and responsiveness.

too many issues

too many new computer issues and no one knows how to fix them. Car sets off warnings as though it was in a collision and then refuses to drive normal and puts in a fail safe or crash mode and makes the car hesitate.

Defect

The first service found my 2021 1.6T Limited Sonata's engine leaked. Gasket was replaced and I was let go. I had to come back in a week because it still leaked in my garage. It is now still in the bay searching for solutions as of now 9/3/21.

Purchased new car and it is broken

I thought the car was supposed to be good but it was defective. I would appreciate it if Hyundai replaced my car with another one. I don't know if I will feel safe or happy with the car knowing it had problems already. They are great warranties that comes with it, but why should I have a brand new car that is broken

Poor quality after less than a year of driving

After about 7 months of driving this car, my car got into a condition that is not yet fixed until today, which is about 5 months of waiting for my car sitting at the dealership service center. I do not know how this is going to end up, but I really need them to give me a different car in placement of it if it cannot be fixed, since they already failed to repair it at the first try.

I was promised to have all weather mats and if I had a referral, I would receive $200. I have yet to receive and it’s been over a year. I called on several occasions and get the run around each time.

Lemon

Three days after purchasing with 23 miles the car stall on the highway high oil consumption it’s has been back and forth at the dealership the whole first year of purchase engine replaced transmission and more yet we still have major issues and Hyundai is not wanting to honor it

Car at dealership for the last 8 months of the year I had the car.

The dealership has been trying to fix the car and has been very pleasant. Hyundai corporate seems like they can care less. They don't follow up and call back when they say they are going to. Customer satisfaction is a zero.
