Gas mpg not close to what suposed to be according published epa values

Overall a good car. I would have picked the gas model instead since the hybrid didn't make the plus. Highway or city numbers are not remarkable. I have a sienna hybrid with lower published mpg and always delivers 1 or 2 miles above the published

Not so great actually

WONDERFUL/sleek design outside and inside. It should have a better gas mileage. Don't like engine sound, AC not good at all (mine is not working properly since the very first time I used it) and other little things...

Mileage not as expected

Not a good hilly highway car. I live in a semi mountainous area with some flat driving. even on a flat highway mileage is below what I expected for a car this size. In town driving mileage is way below what is advertised and expected.

Competitive, yet compromises evident

The 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is competitively priced, feature rich at the Blue trim level and futuristic in design. However, the few shortcomings leave a bad enough taste in your mouth to make you wonder if you should've splurged on something else.

Decent low end vehicle

Several issues with the brand, but given that it's a low end vehicle, those are to be expected. Very unhappy with dealerships charging over MSRP. We were in a head on collision that totalled our previous vehicle, and were pretty much over a barrel- and the dealership took full advantage of it.

2023 Tuscan Meh

Gas mileage was a lie. Plus other issues. The audio controls are backwards and are not convenient to use. The wireless charger is ridiculously slow and very inconveniently located. There is something inside the doors that will scratch off your tint. I don’t have any kids or anyone to drop anything in there to scratch it. It’s in the same spot on both sides. The dealership isn’t much help and is very inconvenience as well. They didn’t care about my safety and also let me drive my car off the lot after not completing my oil change correctly that lead to me being stranded on the road out of town. Had to wait for a tow truck for two hours in the cold because I didn’t feel safe waiting on the side of the road while all the 18 wheelers wizzed passed me on the side of the road. I will never buy another Hyundai.

Looks Great, Fuel Economy wasn't what was promised

Great looking car inside and out. Fuel economy being quite lower than expected based on the sticker is the only disappointment but it is a biggie for a hybrid. The 37 mph promised isn't the 25-30 mph that I actually am able to get.

Not Getting MPG Advertised

To buy a hybrid is for purpose of MPG, this vehicle does not achieve its advertised MPG; I have been driving hybrid (not Hyundai made) vehicle for about 14 years and I am very familiar on how to get max MPG from a hybrid vehicle, my other car has over 275,000 miles on it and I am still getting combined MPG of 1 or less miles from the advertised MPG. This Tucson is off by around 5 or more miles from its advertised MPG and I do not even have 5,000 miles on it. This is the main reason I am rating it poorly. There some other minor issues: nav does not select the best route (even if I have driven the same route and told the survey at the end of the trip that it did not select the optimal route); the climate control in auto is not smart enough to wait for the vehicle to achieve operation temp before blowing full blast inside the cabin (for example, during winter when outside temp is, say, 20 Deg F and the climate control is on auto, as soon as the vehicle is turned on, it blow cold air full blast; and in reverse during summers); the blind spot indicator on the side mirror is not bright enough to be visible during day time).

Too much beeping

I like the look of the Tucson. It handles well and it's comfortable. But they haven't gotten the technology right. It tells me about school zones when school is out. If I go regular speed in the school zone, it beeps aggressively. If a seatbelt is not fastened before putting it into drive, it beeps aggressively. If you are driving in traffic on the highway, it will beep for various reasons, some communicated and some not. I have an auditory processing disorder and the beeping gives me anxiety. The anxiety causes me to drive distracted and it puts me in a bad mood for the duration of my drive, sometimes longer. I've asked the dealer and spent time online trying to figure out how to change settings, with very limited success.

The hybrid is great overall, but highway MPG is well below advertised

i really like a lot about this car. It's the perfect size, is very good looking and well designed. It offers many features for a price well below Toyota. The ride is quiet too, which is unique among small the SUVs I found among those with good Consumer Reports reliability ratings. The reason for three stars is that MPG is a very high priority for me and one of the main reasons I chose this car. I commute on the interstate and my highway MPG at 70-75 mph is about 30 MPG (when I'm luck) and an overall MPG of 32 putting it well below advertised and rendering its small gas tank an issue as I have to fill up every three days. Now I'm wondering whether I should have gotten the Rav4...

Absolutely loved that car, transmission went after 40,000 miles

Perhaps a lemon, but cannot recommend a car where the transmission fails in less than two years.

Mechanically, it's great. But the look/cosmetics is awful. The paint is splotchy and fading. The leather is stained and cracking. It's two years old.

Check YouTube for problems with vehicle

when activating either turn signal, it will begin to blink normally, but after a few seconds it stops blinking altogether—even though I took the vehicle to the dealership, where they replaced the Smart Junction Box (SJB), believing Vehicle: 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Current Mileage: Approx. 33,000 Warranty Status: Active (up to 60,000 miles) Issue: Turn signals stop blinking after a few seconds of activation, despite the signal lever stay engaged.

Review of 2023 Tucson Hyuandia

Car has too many complicated features. Have had the car two years and still do not know how to operate half of them or even what some of them are. The feature I dislike most is the reverse alarm. Had I known it was on the car I would not have purchased it. Interior is not roomy enough. Regret I made such a hasty decision on the purchase.
