Like driving a car with Beta equipment

I bought my car based upon on the reviews, safety record, and technology of this car. Its been a disappointment. I've had the car for less than 6 months, and have 11.000 miles on it. The air conditioner has already broken. The heads-up info on the windshield isn't visible during much of the day (sun fades it out). When the temperature is set in the car, it seems to alternate between hot and cold air blowing on you, particularly when the temps were mild, in the 60's and 70's. There is something on the driver's dash that reflects onto the windshield, which is distracting and a design flaw. And those aren't the biggest issues... The car is regularly beeping at the driver, letting them know they should consider a break or other warnings. I can have my hand at 10 and 2, looking straight ahead, and get a warning. Want to drink a cup of coffee on the freeway? Forget it, the cruise will turn off because the car cannot see your eyes. There is no way to turn this driver alert system off, even though lower trims to not have the system. It is ridiculous and completely frustrating, even Hyundai dealership employees have told me that they don't like driving the vehicle. Plus, if you have a passenger trying to rest, they can't because of the audible alarms going off. I'm happy with the gas mileage. I'm enjoying the infotainment system. I didn't think I'd like the air conditioned seats, but when I get a hot flash, they're wonderful, lol. But those are the only remarkable positives. I'd steer clear of the top of the line Hybrid at all costs.

I wish the service response was better when my new Tucson broke down.

Hyundai has put a great deal of effort and thought into making a great car, we only wish that when our new Tucson Hybrid Limited broke down after just over three months that the service provided by the dealer's service center met our expectations. While the cost of the service and repair were covered by warranty (with fewer than 5,000 miles it needed a new service BCM ECU), there were no loaners available. We were without a vehicle for the entire twelve days needed for the repair. A new car, yet we had nothing to drive. How can this be? And while I expressed my concerns, there was no expression of concern by the dealer's service department. It was seemingly the routine that loaners were not available in the quantity needed, and that the extended warranty I purchased was of no value until after the Hyundai warranty has expired. This does not bode well for customers' future needs. While we have gotten the car back and we are driving it again, we have concern for future service of our Hyundai Tucson, and this will continue to impact our perception of the value of our purchase.

Windshield cracked from drivers side edge at less than 1000 miles. No other cars on road at the time. No rock or object struck windshield. Occurred while cornering in single lane country road

Love my vehicle but...

I have absolutely loved my vehicle up until last week. I live in a desert where temperatures can reach 115 F. Last week the air conditioning stopped blowing cold air. Its a brand new vehicle so this shouldn't be happening. I am worried this might be a sign of bad things to come.

Frustration with traffic light camera warning

Had i known i could not turn off the audio for the traffic camera light warning, i would not have purchased this car. Living near Chicago, this warning goes off constantly and it interrupts the entertainment system. I have been told this is a Blue Link issue and worst case scenario, I have to wait three years for the free access to Blue Link navigation expires.

OVERALL SATISFACTION

A few features I'm not happy with. Turn indicators on exterior of vehicle are too low. Unable to be seen from Trucks, and cars with high hoods when waiting at traffic lights or sometimes when changing lanes on Freeway or streets. The Drive Park and Reverse lever on column often mistakenly changed to Windshield wiper control which is close by.

Loved it at first, especially the gas mileage.

We recently had an engine issue that caused an engine warning light to come on. On its own, the car started accelerating and then would slow down quickly. This happened in the early evening while driving home from dinner out. It was too late to take the vehicle to a dealership. It was a very scary situation. We didn't drive the car until we were able to get an appointment where we could take the car into the dealer service department. The service department couldn't find anything wrong or explain why the car had acted that way. This makes us concerned as to whether it would be safe to drive the car for upcoming trips outside our city.

Not liking some of the safety features

I've had several Tucsons, but with the 2025 model, I do not like some of the changes. 1) I had to buy new sunglasses because "it could not see my eyes." What?!?! That's crazy. 2) I love the safety features most of the time; however, the automatic braking when someone turns in front of you has gone too far. Not only does it apply the breaks AFTER the car has already turned away, it nearly caused an accident when someone turned 1 half block in front of me. No, the car behind me should not have been tailgating; however, my car also did not need to "slam on the brakes." 3) I have a tight fit in my garage and I know the limits. It is frustrating when this car won't let me back in because it thinks I'm going to hit something. For 30 years, I have never hit something backing into my garage.

Disappointing electronic panel and system alerts. Dash replaced. Hybrid battery alert. Map, Home and volume don't work. Second time at dealership in 2 months of ownership.
