Just ok

I like the look, the camera, and some of the styling. Not user friendly at all. Climate control panel is barely visible in the daytime. HUD not visible on a sunny day. Media is difficult to navigate.

Good gas mileage

We would like this car a lot better if it was the one we were told we were buying. We traded in a Santa Fe and were told that the Tucson had all the features that the Sana Fe did. It does not!! So, we are not happy with the car and never will be.

Been in the shop for a month!

This is my first car in 30 years that wasn’t a Lexus or MBZ. At 3500 miles, the AC goes out and it’s been in the shop for a month, waiting for parts. Not a great start.

Computer system flashes all warning lights intermittently

Well I like all of the features of the car, no less than a dozen times has the dashboard blackened out for a few seconds or had all of its lights light up all at once. I am scheduled for maintenance next week and we'll have it looked at. I expect better for a brand new car that is expensive and only has 5,000 miles

Great car but some pretty bad engineering blunders.

The car is quiet and powertrain integration is very good. Unfortunately the driver attention warning system is seriously flawed. According to Hyundai, the forward attention warning system gives false alerts if you ware polarized sunglasses because it can't see your eyes. The system is constantly telling me, on long trips, I should consider taking a break which is highly annoying and useless. This should never have been released to public with such an engineering failure. The other big problem I have is the fact that you can't put the car in neutral, turn it off and get out of the car without it going back into park. So much for going to my favorite car wash. And what happens if you need to get towed out of a ditch? The tires are going to just jam and pop across whatever it is your on. I'm sure that's great for the drivetrain. Had I known this I would have never bought this car.

Disappointed

My brakes started squeaking when my car was less than two weeks old. I’ve taken it in twice. They claimed they can’t duplicate my complaint so they will not work on the brakes. I really hate how the gearshift is on a knob and not the center console.

Not impressed

AC stopped working in 90+ degree heat and local dealership couldn't even get it into service for 3 days and then another 3 days to repair. Didn't offer me a loaner vehicle initially, so had to pay for rental out-of-pocket and now Hyundai won't reimburse me. Really?? Not even 2k miles on a brand new Tuscon and I am left to foot the bill. Not sure I want to keep it!!

It's A Decent Car For The Price

The computer system is very confusing and complicated to learn and you should never take your eyes off the road to scroll through a screen to find what you're looking for. What you have in fuel economy, you lack in power so if you're looking for a car fast off the line, this is not the one for you. There are some very nice features in mine but it is top of the line for its class. It seems to be well made and Hyundai bends over backwards to make you happy.

Cruise control

The unacceptable part of the cruise control is that it doesn’t work when you are wearing sunglasses. We’ve been told that there isn’t anything that can fix the problem. So when you’re on a long trip and the sun is shining in your eyes you can’t wear your sunglasses!! That is a safety concern! We have just leased this car and are in the process of possibly pursuing legal means to get out of our lease agreement. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR IF YOU WANT TO WEAR SUNGLASSES WHILE USING THE CRUISE CONTROL!

Somewhat disappointed

Missing some very fundamental features - like a key fob that identifies the driver and seat settings. Very hard to read the climate control settings panel. Climate control is very crude - no lower air flow, comes on at max force upon start-up. Control mechanism for wipers very difficult to operate. Stiff ride overall.
